Amy
What is Dick making of Damian now? Billy and Cassie?
Re: Amy
Really simple for Billy and Cassie, because he's not from further ahead. He is so happy to see her here. The Young Avengers are a family, and Billy has been away from his family for awhile now. So both Cassie and Teddy showing up? This is like birthday and Chanukah all wrapped up in one! He's also so emotional about her getting to be with her dad, here. He's that guy who tears up in happiness, so yeah. He's so happy she's here. Buuuut also suspicious, a little bit. There is the whole future deal, which is always in the back of his mind.

Goddamn, but Dick likes her so much. Don't get me wrong, he's got a few ladies dangling off of hooks, because that's just who he is and what he does. But Shayera hits all of the buttons, because there's a lot there that he really likes. Dick likes relationships. He's had semi-casual sex before (he's had a lot of sex before), but it's a lot better if he's in a relationship, because there's the whole connected feeling, as well as the normal. And as I said, Shayera hits most of the buttons for him. She's smart. She's very hot. She has red hair. She could kick his ass if given the chance. She banters with him. And she actually enjoys his company without getting too annoyed with him! He'd like her even without red hair, though, because she's just great to have around.
He really, really likes her. He's thinking of the best way to make a legit move. He knows she's interested as well, it's all just a matter of timing.

1. He's around when he needs him. Seriously, let's be honest, Billy is a needy little kid who is selfish a lot of the time without completely realizing it. That's not to say he doesn't think of other people or anything, because he definitely does. But when he gets into one of his funks, everybody else can take a backseat, because he needs to wallow.
2. He's a genuinely nice guy. Billy tends to surround himself with nice people more often then not, so he's instantly gravitated to Vic and is happy whenever he is around. Even with the body switching, Vic was pretty chill about it, which was such a nice contrast to Billy freaking out, so when something bad happens, he'll gravitate to him a lot.
3. He wanted to be a Young Avenger. Oh my god, Billy is kind of smug about that as well as being surprised, because he doesn't know anyone else who's not a Young Avenger already who wants to be one. Loki doesn't count. And he didn't think they were that well known! So there's that little bit of "I like this guy especially because he'd like to join us rather then us joining them" etc etc etc.
4. He's cute. Scratch that, he's hot. Billy lived in his body for... what, a week or something? So, you know, there's that whole deal. He just... thinks he's hot. And is glad that at least he doesn't blush when he sees him, because he doesn't need that awkwardness, but yeah. It's a thing.
There's more, I'm sure of it, but I can't remember off the top of my head, so you get the major points!

Dick has to be the strong one for everyone, because it's what they expect, even if they don't say so. There's only two, maybe three people in his life that he can break down in front of, without them judging him for that moment of weakness (also why he can't break down in front of people, because everyone is so judgmental), and since only one of them is here, then Kyle can take the place of the other ones. And even then he's worried about the first one, just a little bit.
But even with that whole depressing part, Kyle is awesome! Who else would pull off that ridiculousness with the dancing partners? Who else is going to sit at the bar and get to try everything they have and encourage his bar flair? Who else created Haly's Circus (which they need to go back to at some point, Dick would like to go chill for awhile, maybe bring a few beers, just hang out)? Who else.. I'm running out of things that are awesome about Kyle because I know there is not enough space for them all.
Kyle's just a cool guy, and he took care of Damian and continues to look out for him, and he gets to be a Green Lantern and fly around and Dick loves flying, and he's a great artist, and yeah. He's a cool dude.

Billy on Kurt
Re: Amy
As for Kon, Dick is so happy to see him still. So happy. I know he's been here awhile and they've talked, but every time he gets to talk to Kon, he gets this stupid little giddy thing going on because \o/ talking to someone who's not dead here! It's awesome, and he will never get over that feeling. But at the same time, Dick didn't get to spend much time with him back home (second wave of Titans what), and he doesn't spend a lot of time with him here, but he'd like to, at some point!
As for Billy... shit son, Kurt is Nightcrawler! How is he not supposed to fanboy over him, and that he gets to talk to him? They definitely need to talk more, so some of the fanboy excitement dies down more. He's just. So cool. And his powers, and you know, fellow mutant solidarity going on there, and yeah. He really wants/needs to spend more time with him!

Re: Amy
But honestly, okay, Dick likes her. He can see why the younger version of him likes the younger version of her. From what Dick has seen, though, is... I dunno, they just seem so young. She seems so young to him! He's taken a little bit of guard with her several times, and she's adorable and funny, but Dick looks at her more as. I'm trying for the right word and it's not easy, because I don't want to confuse you! If pretending that younger Dick is just another younger brother, then Dick feels protective of Zatanna like she's a sister.
Now, before she gets mad at that! Dick also knows that she can kick ass with the best of them. He knows she doesn't need protecting, and he won't ever show that he is protecting her in a way, but he kind of is. When the whole magic fiasco happened, and he dropped in on her walking by (which I'm so sorry for not finishing, I can finish with you if you'd like because it's great), he knew that there were plenty of people who were pissed with her. And they did have reason to be pissed! But if someone had come at her because they were pissed? You can bet your ass Nightwing would have stepped in. He's a pretty good big brother.
He'd like to get to know her better. Some kind of informal thing, catching something to eat with her as Dick, and then something with Nightwing as well. Because she knows at this point that Dick is Robin, right? I'd personally like to play with that in some way, and Dick... he wouldn't mind it as much as he would if it was someone else.

Dick: Honey, I'm home!
[Julie walks into the room eating ice cream out of the carton]
Dick: Julie, where's [insert name of girlfriend here because it changes weekly] ?
[Dick drops his backpack and bag at the door. The bag clangs loudly]
Julie: Oh, she left a long time ago. Said something about a train and getting away as fast as possible.
[Audience laughs on cue]
[Dick makes the sad puppy dog face]
Dick: But we had such a good... well. We had such a great time last night.
[Audience catcalls and whistles]
[Julie comes over and picks up the bag]
Julie: Oof, this is heavy! What are you carrying, barbells?
[Julie opens one of the bag]
Julie: Dick, are you serious?
[Julie looks surprised]
[Julie brings out paint cans and brushes]
Julie: I thought you forgot!
[Julie rushes to Dick and then hugs him]
Dick: How could I forget the promise I made you? We'll start painting the walls tonight!
[Dick hugs Julie back]
[Audience make awwww sounds]
Julie: Hey, by the way! Why were you out so late last night, anyway?
[The backpack reveals the Nightwing costume and the Escrima sticks]
[Dick pushes the backpack away with his foot]
Dick: Oh, you know. Just checking to see if the bats have started migrating for the season.
[Dick gives the audience a BIG dramatic wink]
[Audience laughs loudly]
[Cut to commercial]

Also the fact that, in Billy's timeline, he's very dead. So now that Cassie has arrived here, he's just. So happy to be able to see them reunite. It's the happiest thing that happened, though it does share first place with Teddy arriving. What Billy doesn't understand, though, is how Scott actually knows who he is? Because he's dead, so he wouldn't know him, but. Brings up crazy future things, that he is not going to touch.
He really would love to get to know him. Maybe with Cassie there, too, or something. Like a buffer because ahhhh Daddy Lang! Aaah Ant Man!

It's so complicated still. It's a little less then what it used to be! But it's still complicated. Dick sees young Dick as... he's trying to push him into little brother mode. You know, like Dick is the big brother to Damian and Jason (sort of not really but kinda) and Tim and Cass and he acts like Steph's big brother. So Dick is trying to force little Dick into the younger siblings group. But it doesn't work out the way he wants, because he has a hard time looking at him and knowing that it's really him. So he does keep his distance, but not as much as he used to.
And the other thing is, he really does like the kid. He's fun, he's funny, he's good with the ladies (?), he has a nice group of friends... he sees Robin. But he doesn't see Nightwing. Because for Dick, Nightwing was a choice he had to make because of Bruce and the complicated history he has with him, whereas little Dick's Bruce seems to be... nicer a little bit? Maybe a father figure? Whatever the case is, Dick is jealous of little Dick's family things. He's jealous of it all.
It's so complicated! They need more time to spend together, to really get to know each other. I personally would love to do a Robin and Nightwing team up on patrol, and Dick would like to be able to finally see him in action. He wants him to be a younger brother, but he's not, so he's trying to accept what little Dick is: himself. And if little Dick is the past that he once was, and Dick is the future... there's a lot of change there, and because Dick can see it, it's uncomfortable to know how you got to be the jaded guy that he is now.
