THE CR TL;DR MEME
HOW IT WORKS:
1. List your character(s)!
2. Others respond with "what does your character X think of my character Y?" or some variation.
3. Respond to them! Break out those teal deers!
4. Generate some discussion about your CR!
5. PROFIT!
Re: Amy
Re: Amy
I think this all can be paraphrased as Dick thinks Clark is the bees knees, but I'm going to try to do it the long way. First of all, Clark is the one guy, besides Bruce, to see Dick grow up. Literally grow up, not just grow up as Robin to Nightwing to Batman, but as a kid to a sort of sometimes adult. So yeah, Clark is definitely his other mom besides Alfred, but since he's not here, Clark is the only mom he has. Dick really does love him though. It still boggles his mind that somehow Superman is his friend, because Clark is always an amalgamation of Clark/Superman/Kal-El, since Dick doesn't really distinguish between different "identities", not like Bruce or even Tim can.
He's so glad Clark is here. Clark is a good buffer at times, which is insanely helpful. He's a good sounding board, too, and he's incredibly easy to talk to, so all of the ideas really do get out there. And Clark is a cheerful guy! Seriously, look at the Batfamily and put them in order from least to most when it comes to how happy they usually are. Stoic faces are taken into consideration. Dick is the guy who is expected to be the one who's happy and cheerful all the time, so when he's unable to, it's like being shot; too painful, and not fun to let anyone know about. But he can drop the facade in front of Clark, which he really cannot do in front of a lot of people.
The problem is, though, that when Dick first got here, and Clark was worried about him becoming less himself, because the younger Dick has become pretty jaded since he's been here so long? Well, now Dick is a little afraid of showing that he's not as chipper as he usually is. He doesn't want to prove him right, since he's really set on making sure that he's not like his younger self. Tiny Dick freaks him out more then he can let on, it's still throwing him for a loop even after being here awhile. But he does still trust Clark, that's never changed, and it won't ever change. Clark is such a relief in contrast to Bruce, and Dick values his trust and belief in him just as much as he does Bruce's.
Again, he really does love the man, and he's so grateful that here he has a chance to hang out with him on a normal basis, without it being weird. Okay, without it being too weird. But it's been awhile since he's gotten to do the whole flying deal with him! Not many chances lately back home, and if there's anything Dick loves doing, it's flying. Side note, I'm getting to those tags in my inbox, and I'm sorry it's taking so long, but if you don't mind longass backtags, then that's good enough for me! It's late and I can't think of other things, since I'm sure there are plenty more, but yes. That is what he thinks of Clark aka Superman aka Kal-El aka the guy the world needs more of aka the best guy ever.
