hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the newest edition of the CR Meme! For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly extremely sporadic memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're interested in for your characters in coming months. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in. CURRENT STATUS: Valdis is dealing with the consequences of deciding to head the Police Force, she is a bit overwhelmed by the process and almost regretful that it is taking her away from her other endeavors. She is still working at the Dojo and hasn't reduced her hours much despite the demands of the Police force. She does intend to pursue the Cultists again, but that has been placed on a side burner in favor of her newly hatched plan to find out what happened to the turtle.

CR GOALS: I want to pursue the new CR that Valdis has discovered and continue to nurture her close CR. I want something new though, something different and exciting, or something out of the norm for her. I would kind of like to explore her softer side a bit, I don't get to bring it out nearly enough.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Police Chief...She's having fun with that.

SCENE-DOS: PLOT! Always plot. Plot is my lifeblood. I particularly like explosions, drama and chaos. (Ask me about my latest idea concerning the Turtle, it's awesome and I would love co-conspirators.)

CURRENT STATUS: Cooking meals for the Hotel, though she's moved out; spending free time at the library, trying to help with setting up the government of sorts by gathering information; mediating disputes between Kedan and Foreigners in the other sectors; raising Shaak

CR GOALS: I would like to get at least two more new points of CR this month, aside from the new people who have tagged my open post.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Since she's invested a good deal of time into setting it up, Padmé will be volunteering her assistance in making sure that it works.

SCENE-DOS: Padmé could use more adult female CR. Other than that, friends, enemies and the like are all welcome. I would also like to have more out of cast threads and I don't care what they're about.

SCENE-DON'TS: While I love negative CR, I think that I could use some CR that is more substantial. Unless you have something really great for more long term. No one actively trying to flirt with her please. :/

CURRENT STATUS: Gene's been running himself into the ground between his work with the dojo, his work with the baby government, and his work with the baby police force. Jackie's trying to get his bar, the Golden Koi, off the ground. Deon's doing tech things and has been helping Bisi get Mag up and running. Peridot's been scavenging for technology and generally being a shithead in between navigating a growing sense of emotion. And Avery's still trying to find their feet in Keeliai and get A Cat's Paw going with no cats.

CR GOALS: Yes.

More specifically: Old CR, new CR, good CR: yes. Bad CR: probably not. Got a bit too much of the latter right now.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Gene is heavily invested in the diplomatic side of things. Jackie's keeping out of it because he doesn't want any (additional) trouble, since his bar is where the popo's new off-duty hangout is going to be. Deon's in favor of it, and Avery doesn't know enough one way or the other. Peridot's in favor of an absolute dictatorship run by Diamonds. So, let's not talk about what she thinks is the best form of government.

SCENE-DOS: I prefer prose and logs for logistics, but really I'll do anything - I prefer to avoid slice-of-life for its own sake, but I don't mind threads that start or end up there. Plot, fluff, happy things, sad things...I love it. I also make everything sad. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

SCENE-DON'TS: I think I need to keep my heavy threads to a minimum for now, so nothing that hasn't been pre-plotted out. Thanks!

CURRENT STATUS: Danny is still settling in and getting to know the area. So far hes made two posts, one as his human self and one as his ghost self.

CR GOALS: He's still new, so any kind of CR would be great. I would especially like things with other superheroes, other teenagers, and maybe some arguments. Is anyone here afraid of ghosts?

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: He'll wait and and see. Danny has had really bad experiences with government organizations before, so he's not going to be in any hurry to trust in something like that.

SCENE-DOS: I will do prose, action spam or network. Just let me know which ones you want. Looking to do slice-of-life, action, humor and plot. I love plot. I don't mind angst, but since this is Danny expect some humor with it. Oh! And all the opportunities for puns.

SCENE-DON'TS: No figuring out that the new ghost in town is the same person as the new kid, please. I don't mind working out a plot for discovering his secrets, but people just figuring it out on the first meeting takes all the fun out of it.

CURRENT STATUS: Hux has spent quite a bit of time being homeless camping with Kylo and growing a beard. I think he, Kylo, and Phasma are going to get a house soonish? IDK. He's trying his hand at service industry-type work and he deserves the suffering from it. He's also been babysitting Kylo because he keeps trying to die or something.

CR GOALS: He just needs to meet more people. I'm cool w/ all the negative CR ever, but it'll also be interesting to have more neutral or even positive interactions.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: he thinks the Snakes are A-Okay

SCENE-DOS: I'm up for anything! Hux isn't the type to frequent the network for casual conversation. He'll respond if there's something he'd want to gain from that kind of conversation, but otherwise he'd think it's a waste of his time. Right now he's probably more inclined to more direct/face-to-face interactions.

SCENE-DON'TS: I actually can't think of anything right now x:

CURRENT STATUS: She just got here, but she has a job at the Tea House run by Iroh, is staying with Raine and Solomon (who just got married). Short term plans? Still adjusting to "normal" after her time on a sex island. Long term plans? Finding her own place. As for going home? She's not sure she wants that.

CR GOALS: She's met a few people and would like to expand on that--as well as make new CR. She's got a catch all in the log comm for anyone who wants to meet up with her.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Sheena called what's going on a rebellion and coup in the works, and honestly, she had just come from a place where wars had been fought between Gods and involved everyone. So, for the moment, she's taking a back seat, but keeping her ears open.

SCENE-DOS: I can do prose or bracket, log or network, and for the moment, I'd like to focus on a bit more positive CR with her. (Although funny negative CR isn't off the table).

SCENE-DON'TS: Right now, she has a pretty heavy thread going with Raine, and I want to avoid too many of those for the moment. She's been through hell prior to coming here, and I'd like her to get back on an even keel before I torment her again. :D

CHARACTER: Klaus Von Reinherz / purered
CANON: Blood Blockade Battlefront

CURRENT STATUS: Klaus recently helped organize the turtle's move. Even more recently he's been comparing notes with others to try and wake the turtle up - he suspects the key might be in utilizing the power of the Xunetane. Generally does his thing working in a little flower shop to bring in income.

CR GOALS: Mostly looking for him to get out more and actually enjoy life. He's a very goal-oriented person so having him loosen up a little would be nice.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Klaus is determined to get the Foreigners and Kedan on the same page. While he dislikes Tu Yunxu on principle, the other families seem like a promising alliance in both deposing the Snakes and getting important shit done.

Major diplomatic concerns are as follows -

Chihuelans: He's seen them in Hatal and he doesn't like how nosy they've been. Something is up.

Hatal: He wants good relations with Hatal, especially if he is going to propose the idea of using their #1 power source to give that extra burst of energy to wake Tu Vishan.

The Families: They hold the most power in Keeliai and are well-respected. He suspects Tu Yunxu is trying to push the Kedan to have a lesser opinion of the Foreigners and some recent occurrences have lent credence to otherwise baseless rumormongering. He's hoping to re-establish better relations by encouraging ways to work together.

He fully supports the idea for a police force, though he also firmly believes it should be largely run by the Kedan.

SCENE-DOS: I'm faster with network posts but I love writing prose. I love angst, fluff, plot, SoL - anything really. I can't fixate on just one thing so having a number of things to work on for this character is gr8.

SCENE-DON'TS: My hard-nos for Klaus don't apply to this game so nothing to worry about on that front.

ADDITIONAL:



CHARACTER: Yorda / shroudofgray
CANON: ICO

CURRENT STATUS: Yorda is learning. What is Yorda learning? Lot's of things. She is a little sponge soaking up information as well as having the opportunity to explore her own abilities without the threat of the Queen looming over her.

Current things she is doing -

-Working at the hotel. She does basic chores though she's gotten very good at them.

-Becoming an entrepreneur. Need something found? She can sniff it out for you.

-Studying under Solomon. He's a slightly better influence than China at least. ...So far.

-Learning to hit things with rocks via a sling. Thank you Bakura. This is also part of her own efforts to get physically stronger.

-Learning to cook. She doesn't really need to eat, but she likes to because food is awesome.

CR GOALS: Yorda's an incredibly social character and can and will stick her nose in anything that she's curious about. If you want to opt in for mild prophetic shit or plan something with her powers, here is the place to do it.

Aside from plotty stuff, I want her to make friends - particularly friends her own age so she can get some degree of normalcy in her life. In many regards she's very stunted and seeing where she should be will help with that.

A way to get her attention is weird magic or supernatural shit, birds, ghosts and dead things, birds, shiny things, food, new stuff she hasn't tried and she really, really likes birds.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Yorda isn't exactly someone you'd want at a diplomatic dinner, but she can be useful to investigations - especially if she ever gets some degree of control over her powers and it isn't just left to luck and happenstance.

SCENE-DOS: Anything and everything. It's very easy to get her talking and if you want to make use of her powers for plotty reasons (either game-wise or just for your character) she can definitely pull of some cool stuff. Especially if you don't mind unexpected results since she is, very much, still learning.

SCENE-DON'TS: Probably not something I have to worry about but shippy stuff in general. She's not in a mental or emotional place where she would really understand what is going on.

ADDITIONAL:


CHARACTER: Balthier / flybyshooting
CANON: Final Fantasy XII

CURRENT STATUS: Balthier lives in a brothel and is working on a 'project'. He's also planning to open up his own workshop in the Fire Sector for those who want magitech of a more Ivalician flair. ...And no legal hassal.

CR GOALS: A partner (or partners) in crime to deal in brokering information, undermining the Snakes and tweaking the noses of law enforcement.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: There is a reason Balthier doesn't play politics and the reason is the last time he got involved he wound up having to kill his father and got a sky fortress dropped on his head for his trouble (and never actually got paid either). So he's laying low for now. Without any real law enforcement (yet), actively stealing anything has no appeal so he's turning to his other great passion which is engineering and magitech. He is keeping his ear to the ground for any interesting information and mostly supplementing his lifestyle through cons and pickpocketing.

I would love to put him out there to make some actual friends and actually get him to do the whole sky pirating thing.

SCENE-DOS: Everything. I love both negative and positive CR for Balthier because he is a self-serving bastard (unless he likes you).

SCENE-DON'TS: None I can think of.

CURRENT STATUS: Kevas just got to town and currently he's looking for steady pay and a place to stay. So far he's made some decent headway on both accounts. After that he might start taking a closer look at these gangs.

CR GOALS: Right now I'm branching around to get all different kinds of CR. He's meeting people and trying to make connections. Friends and enemies and frienemies are absolutely welcome!

Also Kevas is sort of in a transitory period in his life. While he might not look it, he's pretty young. He just thinks he's seen it all. One thing Kevas could use is someone with some actual wisdom to guide him one way or another. He could end up being a really good person, or just downright awful. Someone just needs to have the patience to put up with his stubborn ass.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Unless he gets dragged into things, or unless someone starts paying him, Kevas won't pay too much attention to politics. He hasn't got the mind for this sort of thing or the desire to get involved.

SCENE-DOS: Anything works for me!

SCENE-DON'TS: Uh, romance I guess? Don't get me wrong I'm not absolutely against it but...he's a troll. I can't see anyone wanting to put up with that and god bless the person who does.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Bisi is likely to start becoming more involved in this now that she has Mag.

SCENE-DOS: I'm pretty open! Prose seems to be the go to in logs, and I'm cool with that.

CURRENT STATUS: Erskine's now running the shelter in the Earth Sector. This is the first time he's lived independently and away from Anton in a year, I'm so proud :'D. He also recently (during fourth wall) got to see a bunch of dorks he hadn't seen in a long time, including his best friend whom he hadn't seen in a century. Whom he's a little bit whole lot in love with. And got some snuggle time in. So he's pretty happy for a change :3

CR GOALS: ALL THE THINGS. I need to tag new people. Erskine needs new friends. Everything!

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Lbr Erskine has only the vaguest idea of what's going on in the city. He can't keep up with politics anymore so he doesn't even try, he just does his own thing. Which is funny because he spent about a hundred years as a politician/diplomat before coming to Keeliai XD

SCENE-DOS: I love prose but I'm still coming off a major burnout spell and I can't handle a lot of heavy scenes just yet. Network would be fabulous, bring me all the network and action spam pls. As for flavor, I love fluff and drama equally!

SCENE-DON'TS: Uhhh not much I won't do, although I'd rather not get bogged down with a bunch of prose threads this month.

CURRENT STATUS: just got married holy crap. so that's new. She's still running the Guild, and increasingly trying to collate information on everyone's home worlds and magic systems and find similarities and differences. and also collect healing knowledge where it can be recorded and passed down to leave something good for the kedan.

...I was about to say she's doing less than she was, but apparently Fletch taking over some of her responsibilities just made her find more to do? Raine. Raine.

CR GOALS: I'd like to make some new friends! And specifically get some new friends past the 'hello tell me all about your world' stage. because Raine loves that and will go on about it for a while but I'm always worried I'm boring people, and I'd love for her to make some emotional connections with people who aren't already her close friends.

I would not mind some chances for Raine to yell at people, either. Whether it's because they're being very careless with their well-being or because they're busy being supervillains. Or both.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: She's not really involved as a frontrunner, but she's supporting several people who are. Raine wants the Guild to remain a place that will help anyone, also. Neutrality, of a benevolent sort.

CURRENT STATUS: lurking
No really, actually. China has a small information network, and she collects information and valuables and sits on them like a dragon until she discerns that she can gain something by using them. She's neutral in the way that she acts in her best interests first and everyone else's after. She's not doing a lot right now, other than a project with Yorda, sort-of helping Klaus with a thing, and, well. ... lurking.

Important! If you haven't played with China or heard of her before, I'd like to direct you to her Permissions page. China is a terrible person with passive love magic who tends to manipulate people for fun and profit. I'm a-okay with just handwaving that her charms don't work because world differences, ftr! I'd just like everyone to be on the same page, even if that page is 'please keep the Sorrows woman at least thirty nine and a half feet away from me at all times'.

CR GOALS: I need to branch out with her. If you're at all interested, please come poke me and I'll send her to snark at your character. I dream of positive CR for her, but I'm well aware that's 90% a pleasant fantasy. She got along with Arno, though, so... maybe sarcastic assassins?

Mostly, I want her to make positive and squishy changes in her life, like caring about people, but she's a somewhat stubborn and arrogant woman with about four hundred years' worth of trust issues. So. Uh. ... good luck, Makari.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Helping Pepper with government stuff, sort of, in order to get influence at the ground floor. Mostly ignoring the police force.

Bisi/Mag are reticent to spill everything at once but we can totally do some more 'tell me about your world' convos. It's fun cuz I'll pretty much just be inventing headcanon because lore in warframe is as rare as it is great.

China. Idk. I don't think they would get along very well. Bisi doesn't like people who only work in their own self-interest. I think the best start would be to have them have some kind of working relationship because Bisi is used to dealing with people like China if she has to.

CANON: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

CURRENT STATUS: Makoto is still very much in settle in mode. She's been here for a month or two now and she's making friends but she's still treating this whole thing like an unplanned holiday. Home and her friends are something she misses dearly, and it's starting to hit her that she might be here a little longer than first thought. But she's settled reasonably well. She has a job at a bar, housing at the hotel and people so far have been pretty cool CEPT FOR YOU BAKURA.

CR GOALS: All of you. Come to me. Makoto's looking to get a baseball team going, or even just a group of people to play catch with. Long term it'd be cool to see it as something bigger, but this is a good start. More friends are always welcome. This kid can talk to just about anyone. c:

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: This all involves a little more adulting than Makoto is up for, so she's sitting back and watching and... yeah. Can't we all just get along??

CURRENT STATUS: After infamy for getting banned from the Midnight Hotel and a camping adventure, it's time to settle down for him. A job in Iroh's tea house and a home shared with Hux and Phasma in the Sky Sector (for now, too many suspicious castmate neighbours to get comfortable) - neither pleases him, but for now it's all about meeting basic needs.

He is trying to dig up information about the turtle's history, mostly the Cultists. Kylo Ren was just travelling to complete his training when he was taken, gaining power and knowledge remain his driving force. He understands that there are many people in town from which he could learn. So he's trying to build up a network, but his lovely personality keeps getting in the way.

CR GOALS: With this being only his second month I'm still in the stage of gathering more CR for him, but I'd love to deepen the lovely CR he already has, too!

CURRENT STATUS: After infamy for getting banned from the Midnight Hotel and a camping adventure, it's time to settle down for him. He has a job in Iroh's tea house, gonna get a home with Hux and Phasma in the Sky Sector (for now, too many suspicious castmate neighbours to get comfortable) - neither pleases him, but for now it's all about meeting basic needs.

He is trying to dig up information about the turtle's history, mostly the Cultists, and has a player plot in the works during which he may or may not make progress with this. Kylo Ren was just travelling to complete his training when he was taken, gaining power and knowledge remain his driving force. He understands that there are many people in town from which he could learn. So he's trying to build up a network, but his lovely personality keeps getting in the way.

CR GOALS: With this being only his second month I'm still in the stage of gathering more CR for him, but I'd love to deepen the lovely CR he already has, too!

CURRENT STATUS: Poe is still learning how everything works. He's been doing jobs here and there in the Metal Sector but it's trying to find one that suits him properly. He's also dealing with more personal issues from home, such a Kylo Re'sn real parents and the whole alternative universes thing. He visits the Hotel from time to time but he's currently living with Rey in the Sky sector. He also misses flying like you wouldn't believe.

CR GOALS: Right now he has very little close CR, or CR in general, because he's been only a few weeks since he got in the city. Poe is a social guy, he likes meeting all sort of new people and so do I, so yeah bring all the cr \o/. it would be nice if he could meet more folks from the Metal sector or at least people who's somewhat technologically or military inclined to see if he can help in any way sharing what he knows about the tech in his world.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Poe will wait and see. He's not very versed yet on the politics of the city and doesn't know enough to have a solid opinion. He's all in favour of protecting others but he's seen enough shit in the war to know that politics and people trying to gain power can end very very badly if handled wrong.

SCENE-DOS: I am fine with prose and actio spam, I am more quick replying to the later but sometimes you need a more detailed explanation about what is going on so it depends on the thread/plot entirely. Network, face-to-face, angst, fluff...anything works for me really :D

SCENE-DON'TS: I am happy with trying anything and getting all sort of CR. Poe has been in the city less than a month and Kylo and he almost killed each other, while Aya is going to teach him how to knit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I am always open to new plot ideas and suggestions.

SCENE-DON'TS: Phasma doesn't lend too to slice of life; if you're not okay with her being Annoyed With Everything, Rude, and/or Arrogant, it's probably best you stay away from her. She's low patience and very displeased about being here, and wants to waste as least time as possible.

The thread between Callaghan and Kevas was a lot of fun. Part of me loves the thought of Kevas continually harassing the poor guy but I also think Callaghan might be someone Kevas needs to worry about. XD

He's certainly welcome to subtly study Kevas if he'd like. Sure Kevas is the farthest thing from a scientist or magician, but he's got some interesting abilities that he's tight lipped about; namely his regeneration and shadow manipulation.

CURRENT STATUS: Overworking himself as usual. He works in the hotel, volunteers in the police force and is learning first aid and suchlike in Raine's clinic. He's really, really not good at having free time to himself. It freaks him out.

CR GOALS: Adrien has only been able to go out and MAKE FRIENDS in the past year or so, as such, he is happy to make friends with just about anyone. Unless your character is an unforgivable monster, it's very unlikely you'll make longstanding negative CR from him. Even the bad guys are just regular people who've lost their way to this one. But hey if you want a stab at negative CR, feel free to try, otherwise, it'll likely be pretty positive. He's 15 so fellow teens are awesome, as are fellow superheros (BONUS POINTS IF THEY'RE BOTH) but he honestly has so little good adult influences in his life he'll be happy with adult CR too.
He's pretty polite and stand-offish as Adrien, thanks to being brought up to be respectable at all times, so you're more likely to catch a better (albeit overstated) glimpse of his real personality as Chat. He;s starting to let more of it show without the mask, as he gets close to people, but while CR is new, expect a lot of polite restraint from him without the mask on.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Detective in the police force! He's a do-gooder to the core. All he wants is for all the people, travellers, Kedan and outsiders alike to be safe and unthreatened.

SCENE-DOS: I'm happy with slice of life, deeper threads, brackets, prose or network spam. Honestly, I can adapt to whatever is needed at the time. OBVIOUSLY the big elephant in the room is the secret identity thing, which he's currently trying to keep. That said, I'm always happy for people to figure out Adrien/Chat = SAME PERSON. He'll just deny it a whole lot. Eventually, he'll ease up on this as it becomes clear more and more people figured it out (and that it doesn't really matter as much here) but for the time being, he will act like it's the best kept secret ever. (It really isn't)

SCENE-DON'TS: Nothing really on the don't list. I can't offer any shipping, because he is utterly besotted with Ladybug. One sided crushes are always fair game, though!

CURRENT STATUS: Dante's currently getting use to the idea of living on literal turtle and he recently decided to volunteer to the police force. He doesn't have much short term goals at the moment, though.

CR GOALS: Any kind of CR is fine! Though, I wouldn't mind playing his Dadte side more or showcase his more 'jerk with a heart of gold' aspect of his personality. Both are pretty fun and endearing in their own ways!

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: He's volunteering for the police force. The guy has used about twenty weapons in almost his entire lifetime (I'm not including DMC2 weapons to that list since the game is considered last in the timeline) and is pretty skilled in bounty hunting, mercenary work and investigations (private and paranormal), so he can offer quite a bit.

SCENE-DOS: I'm actually pretty chill. While I'm more of a prose person and prefer face-to-face interactions, I am fine with action spam and network ones too. I love to RP everything – angst, fluff, drama, plot-based stuff... that sort of stuff.

CURRENT STATUS: Running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Building lightsabers, networking with people who can help him build lightsabers, and trying to figure out who's Force-sensitive so that he can offer them guidance and training in the Force.

CR GOALS: He needs more help with the whole "There are Force-sensitives EVERYWHERE" thing happening in the city. More friends who can sympathize with his struggles with the Dark Side would be nice too.

DIPLOMACY DEALINGS: Galen's staying relatively neutral, just wanting to help out the Force-sensitives so they don't tear the city apart once their Force powers develop.

SCENE-DOS: I'm good with either prose or actionspam. Because of my health issue, my tagging hasn't been great lately, so I don't want anything super heavy or overdramatic, because I just plain don't have the energy for it.

SCENE-DON'TS: Even though he's a combat-heavy character, I'm not looking for any fights with him any time soon, and no real heavy involved tags. I wish I had more energy to do more :-(
