EVENT PLOT POST: "MIS-SPELL"

I was going to wait a little bit before posting this, but since people couldn't seem to even wait until I got home before flooding my plurk...

I'll be running a week-long player plot from September 24-30.  Mod approved, of course.  The basic premise is: that Tuesday morning, Zatanna will be experimenting a bit with some kedan spellbook she found, and...well....shenanigans ensue.  The resultant magic backlash will spread far and across the Turtle, affecting Foreigners at random, sporatic intervals.  The effects could hit anybody, anywhere, at any time, but it is also worth noting that this is purely an opt-in event, and as such, your character will not be directly affected if you do not want him/her to be.

So...what exactly is going to happen?

One of four things:


OPTION 1: POWER SWITCH

Characters will swap powers with ONE other person.  And when I say powers, I mean everything.  For example, anybody who swaps with Superman will get it all.  The sunlight absorption.  The super strength.  The flight.  And, yes, the vulnerability to Kryptonite  (you can hear Batman sighing in releif right now, can't you?)


OPTION 2: BODY SWITCH

Similar to above, only the characters will switch not only powers, but their entire bodies.  In other words, you won't just have Superman's powers, you'll BE Superman.  Well, physically.


OPTION 3: GENDER SWITCH

Your character will physically change genders.  ONLY physically; there will be absolutely no mental or sexual orientation changes made during the switch in any way.


OPTION 4: AGE SWITCH

...also known as the one people were most excited for, this will involve characters either being aged up or down at the player's discretion.  However, characters will, as with all the other changes, still mentally retain the age they are normally.


Most importantly to acknowledge is that every single one of these changes are meant to be physical only.  And, yes, characters will be fully aware that something is wrong and will retain all memories of what happens once Zatanna fixes her latest screw up.

The changes could occur at any time during the course of the week.  Better yet, due to the instability of the spell, characters could be affected in more than one way, should you choose.  This is meant to be a light-hearted, cracky event for the fun of it.

The event will start on the 24th with a sudden Network announcement from Zatanna.  From there, players are more than welcome to make their own posts and/or logs.  If there is a desire for it, I can always put up a mingle log of some kind as well.  Otherwise...have at it!

Despite being the one running this shindig, I'm going to be unusually boring and just have both Zatanna and Midii age up unless somebody can give me a better idea to work with. I already have the accounts made from forever ago, so I can just use those for tagging.

If anyone would like to be a Hulk, I'm offering Betty Ross up for either the body swap or the power swap. For anyone not familiar with what kind of powers a red Hulk has, I'd be happy to give you a run down and/or answer any questions.

I haven't decided on what to do with Tony Stark yet. He doesn't have any special powers, but if someone with powers wants to be a regular human, doing a switch with him is an option. Otherwise, I'll probably just genderswap him.

RALEIGH I am the most clear on. Specifically that I want him to be a lady and I would love some woman to inherit his incredibly muscular chest. (you'd look like That. Who doesn't want that? I might be a bit picky about it because there's a Mako coming in but honestly ...I would love Mako to be grabbed by random girl and random guy (and seriously random girl! is not leaving her body alone. :|) and just ...try to explain.

HOFFMAN Hoffman needs powerswap and bodyswap. Given the question I asked, and since it is addressed in canon I want to call Hoffman's complete and utter lack of human feeling an ability. Something similar to the "give no fucks" that serial killers enjoy and embrace on a regular basis. Who wants to literally not give a fuck? : D?

Failing that who wants to do something super cool. I am jonesing for this man. (and sad I didn't app my bbwerewolf).

Henry: you know, it just occurred to me what a magnificent and cruel thing it would be to de-age him for this event, and besides I even have a small heap of appropriate icons SO. I'm 95% certain I'm going to do that, now. Secondary power-swap effects might be funny too, but I think I really need to kick him back a couple of decades. For horrors.

I would love to either body swap or power swap for Clara. Her powers are basically alien implanted computer skills plus being cute and sassy. So might not be bad if someone doesn't mind being basically normal.

But what I would really really love is to body swap her. I would prefer with a dude but I am open to ladies! Someone she has cr with would be ideal.

Galatea: Contemplating doing a sex swap for her or an age change, since I do already have an account for the latter and could find someone easily as a PB for the former. Power Swap would be interesting too if anyone wants to gain the powers of a pseudo-Kryptonian.

Kaldur: Kaldur, I am definitely aging up and sex swapping. Although I'm also down for power swapping if someone wants to be Atlantean for a while.

Prussia: Power swap could be interesting for him since him turning human would be no white hair and mood ring eyes. He'd just be a blond with blue eyes and look absurdly normal. But age change could also be fun and I do have a Teutonic Knight journal. So could sex swap though considering I would get to play around with this PB and he would spend a good few hours flipping out about having boobs. OKAY SO I LOVE ALL OF THESE. I want them all.

Toro: Toro is getting sex swapped and be annoyed he looks even more under age than he does normally. But I am also completely up for body swapping and power swapping if someone wants to be a human torch for a day!

Hannibal & Tarrlok

Hannibal is power swapping with Clark Kent (comics edition). Hope you all stocked up on kryptonite. He'll probably be trying to do some ~secret murders~ because hey what else do you do if you find yourself ridiculously overpowered so if you want your character to be murdered...well, now is a good time. I can keep that part to the last day of the event so no one misses it completely though.

For Tarrlok, I'm not quite sure what to do with him yet. He might be de-aged so everyone can see that he was actually cute once, but I kind of already did that in the dreaming event, so if anyone else wants him for anything feel free to offer up suggestions!

David is up for body swapping. His abilities come hard with his body so he cannot be an exclusively power swap option. Who wants to be a robot?

Robert Lutece will not be doing gender switch because he would just become another Rosalind. As funny as that might be. Currently on the fence about what I'd like to do but I am open to body or power switch with him, and if no one is interested, then I'll be aging him around probably.

Clark Kent will be losing his powers to a certain murderous cannibal (not that he knows, fun times) AND turning a teenager (I'm thinking 18ish). So have a de-powered, young Clark Kent around people wait didn't we already have a young one around where did he go?

Frank Zhang I'm thinking gender-swap! But I'm also open to power-swap if anyone wants to be a shape shifter for a while.

BRYN has her splitting ability that is entirely up for grabs :> This means your character would be able to, at will, split into up to three complete and whole versions of themselves. Versions are identical in every way, but capable of thinking independently. Copies do not share a mind link and therefore memories are merged together at the same time that copies are. There is a more detailed explanation in Bryn's application!

WANDA I am not sure what I want to do with yet. I am not a big fan of body-swaps in most cases because it tends to be a bit too brain-breaky, so I'm considering either aging her down, genderswapping her, oooor offering her powers up for a swap as well!

If anyone would like, I have the other Tony Stark who does have metahuman powers for either power or body swap. Anyone who wants to be a living computer can switch with him. I'd just like to note that since he's paranoid and protective as hell, he'll likely invade the space of the other person after the switch if it happens. Isaac Lahey from Teen Wolf has powers that are up for grabs! In Teen Wolf canon, he can essentially wolf out from rage growing longer, sharper nails along with hair around his face.

Normally, he's stronger, faster, more agile. He has a fantastic nose and can smell emotions. He can suck pain away, literally. Of course, a new werewolf would have to deal with the downsides to being one.

Because they're so new, anytime their blood pressure rises, they may get a case of the fangs or nails. Rage issues can be a thing as can 'power going to your head.'

So, if you're interested, step right up.

I'd definitely like to body-swap Tazendra, because she still has lingering issues about baseline humanity, and it would be hilarious. So, who wants to be a seven-foot tall genetically engineered woman with berserker tendencies and muted responses to fear?

Zelgadis is hard. The cruel thing would be to de-age him, but thanks to Slayers Next Episode 17, I have a surprising number of female-appearing Zel icons.

But I'm open to power swaps (the magic only) or body swaps (in case any of you want to be made of stone).

I'm leaving Jaime out of this for now (no we're not gonna turn someone else into a Reach infiltrator) but Tony Chu will be available to power swap or body swap. (I would prefer the former but I CAN DO EITHER.

If you become a cibopath everything you eat will be accompanied with visions of how the food got there. They're not pleasant. Especially if it's meat. On the bright side you can read someone's past by biting them?!
