EVENT PLOT POST: "MIS-SPELL"

I was going to wait a little bit before posting this, but since people couldn't seem to even wait until I got home before flooding my plurk...

I'll be running a week-long player plot from September 24-30.  Mod approved, of course.  The basic premise is: that Tuesday morning, Zatanna will be experimenting a bit with some kedan spellbook she found, and...well....shenanigans ensue.  The resultant magic backlash will spread far and across the Turtle, affecting Foreigners at random, sporatic intervals.  The effects could hit anybody, anywhere, at any time, but it is also worth noting that this is purely an opt-in event, and as such, your character will not be directly affected if you do not want him/her to be.

So...what exactly is going to happen?

One of four things:


OPTION 1: POWER SWITCH

Characters will swap powers with ONE other person.  And when I say powers, I mean everything.  For example, anybody who swaps with Superman will get it all.  The sunlight absorption.  The super strength.  The flight.  And, yes, the vulnerability to Kryptonite  (you can hear Batman sighing in releif right now, can't you?)


OPTION 2: BODY SWITCH

Similar to above, only the characters will switch not only powers, but their entire bodies.  In other words, you won't just have Superman's powers, you'll BE Superman.  Well, physically.


OPTION 3: GENDER SWITCH

Your character will physically change genders.  ONLY physically; there will be absolutely no mental or sexual orientation changes made during the switch in any way.


OPTION 4: AGE SWITCH

...also known as the one people were most excited for, this will involve characters either being aged up or down at the player's discretion.  However, characters will, as with all the other changes, still mentally retain the age they are normally.


Most importantly to acknowledge is that every single one of these changes are meant to be physical only.  And, yes, characters will be fully aware that something is wrong and will retain all memories of what happens once Zatanna fixes her latest screw up.

The changes could occur at any time during the course of the week.  Better yet, due to the instability of the spell, characters could be affected in more than one way, should you choose.  This is meant to be a light-hearted, cracky event for the fun of it.

The event will start on the 24th with a sudden Network announcement from Zatanna.  From there, players are more than welcome to make their own posts and/or logs.  If there is a desire for it, I can always put up a mingle log of some kind as well.  Otherwise...have at it!

Congratulations. You have now upgraded to having your entire body running on a high-performance OS. Also you have gained healing factor and a database for a brain. Try not to overload it.

Oh man. I'm tempted to say body swap because Tony would be like HELP I HAVE BOOBS. Losing powers would make him sour, but he would be more controlled about it than if he totally swapped bodies with her.

Tony doesn't trust her with his body, she doesn't trust him with hers.

And then they yell at each other to be careful with their bodies and stop endangering them? :D

In her body. No big deal, right?

On the plus side, he'll get being fed out of it.

He's just going to try it out. You know, test drive being in a different body. It'll be fun.

Wait, there's food? What kind of food?

The good tasting edible homemade kind that isn't constant take out or of questionable quality.

Torn between testing out new things and delicious food. Life is hard.

Bianca's still determined to go to work even like that, so he'll have his opportunity if he's clever about it. Tony knows how to be clever, right?

Yes. That one he can do without Schmendrick levels of making it up usually.

Bianca. Bianca, be careful of the suit, okay? Also the augments may activate based on mental provocation so if you try to look in the distance and end up zooming in about 20 miles that's a thing. And flying. Flying is sometimes a thing. Don't hold up your hands suddenly either.

Wow, well, that will certainly be a thing to look out for. Good thing her son's got some experience with that sort of thing. Maybe.

How are your computer skills? And multitasking. Sensors are going to be going off constantly so take it all in.

Multiple PhD's can we please acknowledge the genius here? Because the genius has a nanotech power suit.

Bianca will totally acknowledge them after Tony proves he can actually be polite. Also a power suit? Is he some alternate dimension Lex Luthor who kept his hair? Is that the dividing line between good and evil? Hair?

He was polite. How was that not polite? He's just- some appreciation would be nice. Why doesn't he ever get respect? Also, hair is totally the dividing line. Geniuses turn evil because they are angry over male pattern baldness.
