EVENT PLOT POST: "MIS-SPELL"

I was going to wait a little bit before posting this, but since people couldn't seem to even wait until I got home before flooding my plurk...

I'll be running a week-long player plot from September 24-30.  Mod approved, of course.  The basic premise is: that Tuesday morning, Zatanna will be experimenting a bit with some kedan spellbook she found, and...well....shenanigans ensue.  The resultant magic backlash will spread far and across the Turtle, affecting Foreigners at random, sporatic intervals.  The effects could hit anybody, anywhere, at any time, but it is also worth noting that this is purely an opt-in event, and as such, your character will not be directly affected if you do not want him/her to be.

So...what exactly is going to happen?

One of four things:


OPTION 1: POWER SWITCH

Characters will swap powers with ONE other person.  And when I say powers, I mean everything.  For example, anybody who swaps with Superman will get it all.  The sunlight absorption.  The super strength.  The flight.  And, yes, the vulnerability to Kryptonite  (you can hear Batman sighing in releif right now, can't you?)


OPTION 2: BODY SWITCH

Similar to above, only the characters will switch not only powers, but their entire bodies.  In other words, you won't just have Superman's powers, you'll BE Superman.  Well, physically.


OPTION 3: GENDER SWITCH

Your character will physically change genders.  ONLY physically; there will be absolutely no mental or sexual orientation changes made during the switch in any way.


OPTION 4: AGE SWITCH

...also known as the one people were most excited for, this will involve characters either being aged up or down at the player's discretion.  However, characters will, as with all the other changes, still mentally retain the age they are normally.


Most importantly to acknowledge is that every single one of these changes are meant to be physical only.  And, yes, characters will be fully aware that something is wrong and will retain all memories of what happens once Zatanna fixes her latest screw up.

The changes could occur at any time during the course of the week.  Better yet, due to the instability of the spell, characters could be affected in more than one way, should you choose.  This is meant to be a light-hearted, cracky event for the fun of it.

The event will start on the 24th with a sudden Network announcement from Zatanna.  From there, players are more than welcome to make their own posts and/or logs.  If there is a desire for it, I can always put up a mingle log of some kind as well.  Otherwise...have at it!

Hannibal & Tarrlok

Hannibal is power swapping with Clark Kent (comics edition). Hope you all stocked up on kryptonite. He'll probably be trying to do some ~secret murders~ because hey what else do you do if you find yourself ridiculously overpowered so if you want your character to be murdered...well, now is a good time. I can keep that part to the last day of the event so no one misses it completely though.

For Tarrlok, I'm not quite sure what to do with him yet. He might be de-aged so everyone can see that he was actually cute once, but I kind of already did that in the dreaming event, so if anyone else wants him for anything feel free to offer up suggestions!

If he does kill anyone would he use the powers in an obvious way? Like idk using the lasers or something that would be like A KRYPTONIAN WAS HERE

Dropping in quickly: just so you know, if there is obvious Kryptonian involvement in the murder and it turns up during the duration of the effect, Lois will have superpowers too, and probably try to track it down because she disapproves of murderous Kryptonians.

...I honestly don't know if that's encouragement or not.

Either would be fun! I was asking to know what Clark's angle on the whole thing would be since he won't know where his powers went xD Up to you!

I would certainly love to volunteer a character for being secretly killed, depending on the kind of victim you might be looking for? Or almost killed in Prussia's case. I was planning on depowering Tea at the end of the week, which would make it possible to kill her, too.

Any and all victims are good...he's usually a little selective but is aware his time with powers might be limited so he'll be less choosy. Whatever you prefer!

I'm okay with any of my four which, so if you think he would look at one of them more than the others, we can go with that one.

Galatea is average height for a girl, blonde, blue-eyed, well-endowed in the...chest area, physically fit, and has a habit of flirting and being flippantly snarky to everyone she meets. She doesn't know too many people or have anyone she's close to, so no one would miss her. She's pseudo-Kryptonian (being a clone of someone from their sister planet), but I'm definitely depowering her for part of the event toward the end.

Kaldur is the calm quiet type who is big on helping others if they need it and very formal in speech and mannerisms. He's also Atlantean so if Hannibal wants to try a new sea food in his diet... Okay that was terrible. He does have friends and allies in the game, but has a habit of going off on his own for hours at a time, so pretty easy for him to get found alone and no one notice he's missing for a while.

Prussia and Hannibal have talked already and he'd definitely be willing to talk to him again, because Prussia never realizes people he's been an asshole to may never want to see him again. Cut off his head and he's pretty effectively dead...although if he just stabs him up he won't die, so organs and things that are removed would just...grow back (unless I depower him, which is definitely an option!) Also someone who doesn't have anyone who would be wondering where he is.

Toro is nice, gullible, easily tricked into things because he trusts people too easily. You say you need help, he'll jump to do it because he's used to saving the day. He looks younger than he is and I'm going to be sex swapping him for part of the week so he'll look like a young girl in her mid to late teens. He does have a roommate who will notice he's not back by like midnight, but it would still give Hannibal plenty of time to get the deed out of the way. Toro is also a mutant but idk if he would taste any different than a normal human.

Oh excellent. :}a Is there any sort of target that Hannibal would prefer to go after? I don't really have any plans for this event but if either aging Scott down to a kid or swapping him to a girl's body would make him more of a target, that's easy enough to do.

Although I guess he has a full set of superpowers it wouldn't really matter...
