Milyn Aftermath/Meisheng Plot Stuff

So by mod request I've been asked to put up a plot discussion post regarding the latest developments regarding the events surrounding Milyn, Meisheng, and so on.

So basically there's a lot of people doing their own thing ICly with pretty much the same intention in mind. But none of them are really telling anybody anything either. Sooo since the mods don't want plot things given out on a first come first serve basis we've been asked to coordinate?

Any thoughts or ideas on how to proceed?

Dove is investigating with Yuri and hunting down Meisheng with him. She's also going to be making a network post relevant to all parties... She's tired of keeping secrets and not finding anything out. She doesn't like being lied to either :(

Just a note that Meisheng being potentially involved is not IC knowledge to anyone but Jackie and Fletch so far. They decided not to impart that little tidbit, which technically isn't lying, since they're simply witholding facts.

He'd make a good Vulcan if he wasn't so illogical.

Yes! That has been noted. :) Yuri received information directly from Yunxu, which is why he and Dove have gone after Meisheng.

No problem! That's what this post is for! :) We're just trying to keep everyone on the same page so that it's not just awkward clusters of people moving around with no actual headway.

Just gonna note here that Skul's also interested in finding out what the hell happened there. I'm trying not to get him too involved because mod, but figured we might as well lay out all the cards OOCly, since he's a pretty good detective. o7

There can absolutely be detectiving! Right now all Skul knows is that Milyn was apparently involved with cultists, may not actually be dead (he doesn't know for sure), and whoever tried to kill her also tried to kill Yunxu.

He's wrong about that last part, but it's not like he knows that. He might ask Pepper to talk to Yuri, actually, see if Yuri got a good look at Yunxu's attacker/s.

The actual asking we can handwave, for expediency's sake. Just assume Skul's told Pepper at some point in late April/early May to go and talk to Yuri. o7

Considering Fletch's forte is stopping people from dying rather than finding out how they died, he'd appreciate the assist.

I reckon Skul would probably come to him first if he's interested, since Fletch was the one who made the announcement.

Yes he would. He's preoccupied during fourth wall, but what say we thread something out next month? He has a sneaking suspicion Milyn isn't dead, but no hard facts, and he's much more interested in trying to figure out who this mysterious assassin is.

I had a thought about Pepper asking China to do some information hunting to see what her network knows. Another thought was spreading the rumor that Milyn is alive and see what it stirs up? Or asking for information publicly if anyone has heard anything about Milyn's attacker - more than just a coordination thing, although that's good we have that now on the network.

UPDATE: Okay, scratch the rumor idea. Most if not all of the people who know Milyn is alive have been to the house, or at least can go there - there's an open log right now that could be used for coordination IC.

Another option that has come up is, as a group, approaching the family heads and revealing that Milyn is alive in an effort to get their cooperation in finding her attacker. That does present some challenges, but it may go a long way towards mitigating loss of trust.

I'm not sure how to get Yuri involved in that since he's not supposed to know. He's essentially resolved to working by himself since no one seems inclined to sharing.

My cynical boy might be a bit mad about that rofl.

First Valdis doesn't want to share info and now people aren't really saying what happened with Milyn. So since he's decided nobody wants to say anything he's not seeking it out from other Foreigners. So I'm trying to figure out how to work that. Would anyone be willing to reach out to him?

Like I mentioned, there's the option of meeting at the house. It makes sense IC to gather everyone who knows Milyn is alive and discuss things. I can add a starter specifically for that.

Yeah it's just a matter of Yuri knowing/having a reason to go. But he can learn about it from Dove since you guys are threading.

I was thinking how best to go forward with this today, actually, and collabing would be best, especially since I'd like to avoid anyone announcing that Milyn is still alive accidentally or by rumour. That would put Fletch in danger, and I don't want that to happen in this situation from anyone besides the man himself.

I'm mid-way through a thread with Tu Yunxu here, and I was thinking of how best to go investigate, whether by submitting a Rewards request, or otherwise. With Am saying Skul is interested, and Seal's idea that China could be involved, that might make things a lot more incorporated, and that's something I'm all for.

Like I said, Fletch is an expert at keeping people alive, not when they're dead.

Any more thoughts would be more than appreciated.

Yuri spoke to Yunxu after he 'saved' him and was told Meisheng is missing. So he's looking for her. I put in a reward request already but was told to collaborate with everyone first instead.

So that's why I've put this up cause I'd really like to see the plot move forward. I'm just not sure how to get everyone working together. XD
