OOC Brainstorming: Operation Move the Turtle

Dear chelonauts: I come to you to brainstorm.

I have had a plot approved by the mods to keep the turtle from sinking. The idea came up here in conversation between Klaus and Lapis: The turtle will be moved to shallow water to prevent him from sinking further and to buy time to figure out how to wake him up.

What does this mean?

I want this to be a game-wide project. Lapis is insanely strong; in her own canon she could pull all the water in the oceans into a pillar extending out of the atmosphere and still have enough energy to fight off seven people at once . . . while her gem was cracked. Asti, though, is his own continent, and she has limits. Moving him in a process that would likely take at least several days will take the concerted effort of as many people as possible. I want everybody in here. I want people using magic; I want people using technology. I want characters figuring out how to make this work.

I want all the people. All the things.

Yes. That means I want you. I want you to think how your character could possibly contribute to this effort. I want you to think out of the box. We need characters who can read the stars, who can plot maps, who are familiar with ocean currents, who have wind and water and earth abilities and super strength. Characters willing to help steer and chart and plan and make this massive effort a success. Characters willing to talk the kedan (and the npcs!) into helping. Characters able to find underwater mountain ranges and ways to moor a turtle-continent to keep him from moving. Ten to one your character can contribute somehow. Even if it's "small," it means something to the larger whole.

I have some challenges that I'm needing help with in making this work effectively. I will be organizing this oocly. Icly, however, though Lapis is pushing for this, she is not likely one to lead. She is fairly traumatized by her own canon and still deciding if people on the turtle are "good." She has enlisted Klaus' help, and he will be an intermediary of sorts, helping to run an initial meeting about this and gather characters' thoughts/pledges to assist. That doesn't help icly to run day-to-day operations. She and Klaus can oversee things and pass down ideas or suggestions, but I don't see that as being too interesting for you guys to play out. I'm thinking something more like once we find some commonality between ideas, we divide people into teams that end up working together on one part of the project, with someone leading, motivating, and reporting back to Lapis and Klaus. I am, however, very open to other suggestions!

So to sum up, I need help in this ooc post with two things:

1. What could your character do to help move the turtle?
2. How could the process of executing the plan to move be most effectively organized icly?

YOU HAVE GENE'S MAGIC GAUDY SPACE JEWELRY. And...whatever Kitty's magic can do to help. :V They're both pretty powerful.

Gene has a ring that grants him control over water, and while we don't get to see him use it too much in canon he's Very Powerful so he could, idk, help steer?

Kitty's got a magic spellbook so she can do pretty much whatever's needed within the limits of her ability to control it.

I like the idea! My characters are just terrible at that kind of thing. xD; Out of all of them, Gene might be able to corral people.

I have a literal ex-Navigational computer AI and Magic girl, both ready and willing to pitch in where/when needed.

Given she used to pilot an interstellar spaceship at warp speed, memorizing the local star patterns and figuring out the necessary calculations to plot an ideal route would be easy.

And then Zatanna could help with the actual moving.

At the moment, I do not, although I would start with an open network post and run with IC responses from there.

Klaus will be putting up a post shortly about moving the turtle and sloooowly try to get Lapis introduced to people.

Seto Kaiba: He is already working with a team that is working to keep the turtle afloat at Stark Industries. As far as technology is concerned he can be very useful. Also potentially convincing Stark Industries and all the Kedan working there to get on board too?

Yuri Lowell: Brave Vesperia is at your service. Whatever they can do they will pitch in. Also Yuri could also be quite useful in talking to the Kedan since he and his group have been helping the community.

Well, Pepper doesn't have any powers, but she's more than happy to contribute coordination and logistics help. She's pretty good at managing a lot of things at once, and she has the Rescue armor, so she can fly around the turtle to keep different groups of people organized? Also possible act as a mobile radio relay?

Maybe a meeting either at the College or at the Court of Public Opinion would be a good place to meet, just to get things started. People can get informed over the network that a meeting is happening and then go meet up with other people and form teams.

Skulduggery's an Elemental who can canonically walk on water, so you've got his considerable skill with controlling water at your disposal! ICly speaking, I'm trying to avoid having Skul spearhead anything because mod and stuff, but he would suggest all the water-controlling folks (because I think there's a good deal of them) getting together and working out how to coordinate their magic to move the largest amount of water possible.

Ven's got quite a bit of magic at his disposal. He can manipulate wind on a pretty devastating scale, and he also has access to Zero Gravity spells, which... might help a little? I doubt he could apply them on a scale big enough to move the turtle by himself, but maybe if he concentrated it at the right spots, it might help a little bit.

Xion has a little bit of wind magic! Not as powerful as Ven's but she's a decent mage and in general could probably act as good support for Ven and Aqua if she gets involved too. She also has an attachment to the ocean (she loves collecting shells and her name references the Japanese word for the tides) so I can see her being interested in this.
