Plot Development: Calling all Magic Users!

 Our awesome mods have recently given me permission to run a small player plot thingie that will result in a bit more metaplot info, and I wanted to extend the opportunity to any and all magic user character out there.

This evening, Zatanna will be making an IC post looking for help with a spell.  A big, big spell.  The idea is to combine different powers together in a magic circle to attempt to reach out and figure if Asti is being kept under some sort of magic coma or otherwise affected in such a way that he is unable to escape.  Now, the main focus WILL just be identification, not necessarily immediate rescue, and I've been told that once the spell is activated, metaplot info will be revealed.

Once the IC establishment of who wants in has been made, later in the week, I'll be posting the log.  I'm thinking three separate parts: First, an open mingle pre-spell where characters can discuss their respective abilities.  Second, the actual casting.  And Third, an aftermath section where they can discuss what they just felt/heard/saw/etc.

Now just to decide if she will be using death magic or Revelations' magic. As of her fight with Bakura...Valdis will probably be using her death magic...that's not asking for trouble is it? :P

Dove would be very into this! She doesn't really cast spells, but if they needed a bolster for their powers, she could at least provide that, and she can 'feel' souls...

The way I'm planning to set this up, Zatanna will be the "center" of it all, and cast the main spell. Everyone else will be on the edge of the circle and contribute by activating their own individual abilities. Like a magic battery.

Duke is pinged by magic and will offer to help. He will neglect to mention he has made a particular massive spell before, and just be offering help from his sword of magic manipulation. Which has been used to gather up a lot of magic for a spell before!

ok but Terra will offer to help if he can? His magic is offensive and healing, not so much of the psychic variety, but he could at least be used as a human power source for the others if need be. :>

If Zatanna has a way to focus types of magic that don't necessarily mesh with this sort of thing, Erskine would be up for this :3

LMAO well Erskine is an Elemental, so all of his magic is devoted to things like manipulating water/air/fire etc so... IDK how that would work, but if we can figure it out...? Or fudge it. Fudging works ;)

If anything, just the addition of his presence/power alone should be enough to help her along.

I'm also down for this, and I'll get on it ICly just as soon as motivation comes back. Skul, like Erskine, doesn't really have anything directly helpful (apart from possibly being in a state of un-death himself?) but he'd definitely volunteer to be there and act as a bodyguard if nothing else. :3

Take all the time you need; as you might have noticed, I've been gone for most of the day myself and will only just now be getting to things.

Also, a bodyguard could be extremely useful. Since I don't know what could happen, that also means I don't know if the participants will even remain conscious by the end.

That's a good point. And that's the sort of thing Skulduggery would offer, too, since he doesn't know how Zatanna's magic works and his luck with things like people not all falling unconscious is horrifically bad.
