hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the bi-monthly edition of the CR Meme! Now that we've gotten settled into the new storyline, it's time to start heating things up in the big turtle city. For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for your characters. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in. This month, we have a special addition called Landfall Plans: Zeshora Edition. Tu Vishan will be landfalling to the continent of Zeshora for the first time since the Foreigners appeared in this world. A scattered island chain, much of its former civilization is said to be now underwater. (More information will be coming in later OOC posts about the details of the landfall, so this is just for general plottings.) CANON: Iron Man: Armored Adventures
PERSONALITY: A lemon with shitty sunglasses and a bad attitude. Former teen supervillain in the process of reforming. Kind of sucks at it.

CURRENT STATUS: Flipping out over Howard and Bianca showing up for 4th Wall. Flipping out about them leaving. Currently in lurve with a certain nerd.
CR GOALS: Friends? Friends. This boy needs more friends.

SCENE-DOS: I need to get him more involved politically. April ate me. And I'm thinking about having him set up a Foreigner information network, so hit me up if you'd be interested.
SCENE-DON'TS: If I get any more negative CR with this guy, it'll be too soon. Please, let's not do the thing, I have more chew toys.

LANDFALL PLANS - ZESHORA EDITION: I wanna get this dude in trunks on the beach again. Though he'll probably be sad since last time he was on the beach, Kalliel was there. ;A;

CURRENT STATUS: Working with Valdis to get info on Heojin for Yunxu. Dissatisfied with gang life but scared since that's all he knows.
CR GOALS: More friends? To be real, I need to do more with Jackie. And having him get involved with people is A+ yes good.

SCENE-DOS: Silly fun humor, definitely, or just talking. Also, all the things.
SCENE-DON'TS: I'm a little worn out by negative CR in general, so ask first?

CANON: Kingdom Hearts
PERSONALITY: Tiny highly adoptable Doomed By Canon (though she doesn't know it) replica child who may or may not be a Disney Princess who was essentially "born" into the closest thing Kingdom Hearts has to the Mafia. She can hold her own decently in a fix so don't dismiss her out of hand.

Recently responsible for flowers everywhere in the Midnight Hotel.

CURRENT STATUS: Xion is going to be decently miserable now that Roxas is gone and be glad she doesn't know it's because the Kedan wanted people gone, she would probably get really upset and say stupid things. After that though she'll be trying to get more fully to get back into the swing of things while recovering from being shot. Possibly finding a second job. Or some way of getting income that she can use on more than just housing.

SHE ALSO HAS NO CLOTHES RIGHT BESIDES WINTER STUFF AND BLACK PANTS + TANK TOP, AND NO MONEY TO GET MORE. IF SOMEONE COULD HELP WITH THAT, IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.
CR GOALS: She's starting to get some decent CR foundation and I'd like to keep developing that! Really I don't have anything new in particular I'd like, although maybe more people she can open up to on a personal level with. And people who are willing to teach her/challenge her limited and inexperienced viewpoints, as I mentioned last time.

Also adopt her. Please. Do it.

SCENE-DOS: I am good with both prose and action! Beyond that I can't think of anything off the top of my head at the moment, though I am pretty exhausted so I will likely add an extra comment if I can think of anything.
SCENE-DON'TS: Aimless shooting-the-breeze slice of life tends to get me struggling really fast, so having some kind of direction to go through, or undercurrent to help push the thread along helps a lot.

Re: Xion and getting clothes, I believe there's a clothing donation bin somewhere in the hotel she could dig through. Anton mentioned it to Accelerator a while back. The only issue is the selection and sizing may not be amenable.

She might start poking around the University more thanks to that student who cared so much about returning her soul gem. Xion bonds with college students.

CHARACTER: Accelerator
CANON: Toaru Majutsu no Index
PERSONALITY: A rude, verbally abrasive, cynical, sarcastic, and apathetic guy who's spent most of his life being treated like an inhuman monster and a prized research subject because of the incredible value of his psychic ability. As a result he does not like or trust people in general. He highly idolizes heroic types and hates to see bad things happen to good people, though. his view on morality is still a little embarrassing despite all the progress he's made lately. He will probably act like a jerk to most people just to keep up a distance. Still, for someone as antisocial as him he can appreciate, if warily, having personal connections of the friend or family type. He just thinks people are better off without him.

CURRENT STATUS: Currently living in the Midnight Hotel and doing Anton's accounting to pay for his room. He's also working on trying to catch the thief from the Metal Sector by doing stakeouts on rooftops. (As you can imagine, it hasn't been successful thus far.)
CR GOALS: While not as new as he was last time around, he's still a giant antisocial tsunbutt. I'll take anything that forces him to be remotely social. Most especially anyone who doesn't mind CR rife with bickering, snark, and Accel being an easily annoyed, argumentative stick in the mud. Especially if any of you friendlier types can put up with him. He could really use it.

Since he's from somewhere somewhat technologically advanced, anything technologically or mechanically inclined would not be a bad starting point, if set up correctly.

I also plan to finally get around to doing something more active with him in the Metal Sector thefts plot. Just wasn't sure what the status of it currently is, so I only got my toes dipped in wrt it last month.

SCENE-DOS: I like a good blend of In-Person Interactions and Network Interactions. The problem with relying too much on the network for him is the whole 'giving him a reason to reply to people's posts' thing, which is why he's been sparse there so far. As a result, in-person stuff may be better for the time being until he gets to know more people and can drum up the effort to be more active on the network. For scene types, I'm not too picky as long as it isn't too heavily plotty. I prefer mini, self-contained plots over larger ones. For tagging style, I love commentspam and am pretty quick at it. Prose is still awesome, but may be slower; my other game is faster than TS, log-heavy, and I do mostly prose for those.

SCENE-DON'TS: Just two things come to mind. The first is no romance please - he's not interested, likely never will be. As for the second, I am fine with negative CR—he's always likely to have some, by virtue of being himself. However, I do prefer it to actually lead somewhere instead of promptly giving my character zero reason to ever interact with the other party again. Which... has happened a few times, but oh well.

CHARACTER: Tadashi Hamada
CANON: Big Hero 6
PERSONALITY: Beautiful Cinnamon Roll Too Good For This World, Too Pure. But seriously, super nice guy. Supportive and encouraging, the best big brother type that anyone could ask for. Almost irritatingly nice under most circumstances.

CURRENT STATUS: Tadashi just recently found out about the death in his immediate canon future, so he's, uh... a little off at the moment. His aunt will also be disappearing with the end of the fourth wall, so. Yeah. He'll do his best to focus taking care of Hiro and doing other productive things (because that's how Tadashi do), but he can't put off negative emotions forever. He currently spends a lot of time manning the front desk at the Midnight Hotel.
CR GOALS: No specific goals. Life didn't allow me to tag around with him as much as I wanted to this month, so for May I really just want to get him out there and meeting more people. Tech-minded people would be especially awesome. He misses his robot/making robots/talking about robots. ;;

SCENE-DOS: I am all about action spam, network interactions or face-to-face. He'll be getting his fair share of angsty angst from his trashfam fellow San Fransokyo peeps, so maybe some lighter things? Getting to meet people and maybe make some friends before I sign him up to get mugged or something in June.
SCENE-DON'TS: No don't that I can think of at the moment?

CHARACTER: Raine Sage
CANON: Tales of Symphonia
PERSONALITY: Pragmatic healer-type with a passion for archaeology and common sense. Cares hard when she does, but typically tries to maintain a cool head and as much objectivity as possible.

CURRENT STATUS: With any luck, Raine's moving this month, to an apartment with her younger brother and her boyfriend. She's spent much of the last month dealing with Foreigner-related emergencies in one way or another, which is her job, but it was an extraordinarily stressful month. Also, Solomon blinded himself, so there was that. She's on a more even keel now, but will likely be more apt to snap at people who are demonstrating a lack of regard for their own safety or that of others.
CR GOALS: I might like to branch out a bit? I'm not sure. Major plusses are CR with other ladies and people with common sense. Mostly, though, she'll be a point of stability and sense, so if your characters could use some of that, let me know.
I'd like her to wind up talking with someone else about what happened in December, with Malicant, but the only person who does know what she saw went home and I don't know if anyone would actually ask, or in fact what would prompt her to drag that out in the open. Because she doesn't want to. At all. My wishes aside.

SCENE-DOS: Prose is easier for me with Raine, but I'll do just about anything.
SCENE-DON'TS: Mostly the stuff I'd object to isn't stuff I'm worried about happening right now. Talk to me first about stuff like murder. :P I do have a harderish time handling group stuff with more than four people though, but am working on it.

CANON: Skulduggery Pleasant
PERSONALITY: Brilliant, manipulative, self-serving, with a very few exceptions. She enjoys books, fashion, knowing what other people don't, often holding that over other people's heads, and being sarcastic.

CURRENT STATUS: Lurking.
I'm not even kidding that's mostly what she's doing. She has herself a little place set up, acquired by less than up-front means, and a small network of kedan who give her information from time to time, and she's perfectly happy to watch and do very little except indulge her curiosity and prod people just to see what they'll do. And occasionally help out, because she spent too much time around do-gooders and it rubbed off a bit.
CR GOALS: Hi, I'd love it if China could be outright rattled. She arrived here super unbalanced and has since settled back into complacency. Which she's aware of, of course, but that's not stopping her. I would like to give her things she doesn't expect and basically make her life much more difficult than it currently is. Please and thank you.

SCENE-DOS: Just about anything honestly. Please be aware of that thing China does re: emotional manipulation.
SCENE-DON'TS: As above.

CANON: Air Gear
PERSONALITY: Kindhearted, intelligent, and intuitive. At times he is very mature for his age, while at others he seems immature. He likes to play and live life to the fullest whenever he can. He can come across as naive due to being hopeful to a fault, but he's more than aware of the dark side of humanity. He just wants to believe in the best of people rather than the worst... Which recently has hurt him, making him withdraw from everyone save for Agito during the 4th Wall Event

CURRENT STATUS: After being mugged and informing Meisheng of what happened (because of a promise he made to her when they first met), then finding his attackers and learning of the circumstances behind it... Then discovering that they'd been arrested and now most of Keeliai wants them harmed for their actions...

Basically, Akito is kind depressed by this whole situation. He works hard to try and help everyone, but only seems to hurt people in the long run. He tries hard to maintain open lines of communication, yet is never told anything in return. Then Agito arrives! ...And leaves.

HOWEVER! He's planning to get the radio network upgrades underway by the end of this month. He's also going to bug Eiryam about the weird under-frequency he detected annnnd try to gather the big NPCs together in private to discuss Stuff and try to get better communication going between Foreigners and the Kedan leaders.

CHARACTER: Hiro Hamada
CANON: Big Hero 6
PERSONALITY: To sum up: he's a wired little shit. He is also a genius. Hobbies include robotics and mechanics and general making stuff out of whatever he can get his hands on, sometimes not sleeping like a dumbass, getting into trouble and giving his brother a headache. He's also simultaneously a sad and confused little shit because his bro died and left him alone (see more on how that's going in the game below). He gets excited about machines and robots and stuff and also sometimes gets in trouble with the law and breaks rules so yeah. Fair warning: he can be terrible and a brat.

CURRENT STATUS: The Hamada bros are currently in a nebulous "moving out of the hotel/moving in with Callaghan someplace" state, since their Aunt vanished after the festival and plans fell through. since about mid-April Hiro's been making a few juulans here and there alongside Callaghan, working doing general fix-it and handyman stuff on tech, mostly for Kedan, but he can do this for player characters too. Also, Tadashi found out he's dead, and it was bad, and Hiro feels pretty bad because his bro feels bad and ugh, so it's awkward right now. Padding around his bro like so many eggshells and just. Yeah.

In light of the current rampant muggings and an alarming encounter with Keeliai's ~shadowshifter~ (who is, actually, using Hiro's own tech and wtf is this), Hiro is putting his energy and spare time building himself taser gloves. You heard me. As of May those are pretty much completed and in play, though he's still testing them and there's bugs to work out.

Current plans for the upcoming month:

1) He's looking for more info about the shadowshifter but is keeping that and his involvement w/ the stuff the guy's using on the down low, considering the metalworkers are literally up in arms over it. Pretty much he's only told Sokka, and obviously Tadashi.

2) He's going on an adventure with Stork and Tony. This will probably end poorly.

3) I still have to talk to castmates about the details, but basically through May Hiro and Callaghan (and Tadashi?) are working toward expanding the handyman stuff into a scrap/junk/tech shop of some sort, a centralized location where the tech-minded folks can come to get parts/materials/scrap, repairs, etc instead of scouring the markets (hence a slight markup on goods, covering the time and energy Hiro & co. spend finding/buying/fixing/building stuff themselves). The idea is still in the works and up in the air atm.

CR GOALS: I'm open on possibilities this month, tbh. Would like to make Hiro some new friends and get him out exploring the city more (except for fourth wall he's had a LOT of hotel threads) so yeah! Other than that I'm pretty flexible and I'm sure plans will develop as the month progresses.

SCENE-DOS: I am heeeeeella outta practice with prose, so in general I prefer actionspam that may as well be prose inside brackets, but having been here for about six weeks now I've been getting a lot of workout on my prose tagging and getting back in the swing of things. So actually, at this point, I can do either.

Anyway tho: I know a whole bunch of my log threads (mostly in-cast stuff) have been in the genres of angsty and dramatic the last month and ngl I like but I also like fluffy and plotty stuff too so please come make friends and do dumbshit with him. All in moderation. I am also 100% on board with any negative CR, because Hiro's a shit and probably has an easy time earning it.

SCENE-DON'TS: Nothing turtle-specific, really. For a general idea of my preferences you can look over the permissions in his journal, but the tl;dr is no gorey stuff and no shippy stuff because hi 14 y/o here.

LANDFALL PLANS - ZESHORA EDITION: Actually, I've never been here for a landfall before, so I'm gonna wait until we have more details on that! I am open to suggestions for the moment, though.

But I still want CR. He and Toph have way too many similarities not to have CR.

I feel like they could pull some kind of epic scheme at some point, someday, if they get along -- probably for no one's benefit but their own.

CHARACTER: Toph Bei Fong
CANON: Avatar: The Last Airbender
PERSONALITY: Tiny, feisty, blind girl who earthbends and metalbends and who can so take you. Definite mischievous side, with a wry, sarcastic sense of humor and a tendency towards scamming. Oops.

CURRENT STATUS: Toph hasn't been too active this month because I've been on hiatus. Biggest development has been that Sokka has started to realize that Toph has had a crush on him. Toph will not be entirely pleased.
CR GOALS: I want to explore Toph continuing her training in fighting blind, though she's going to need to find some new teachers for this. Also, though she's not technologically inclined herself, she does do metalbending, and she could be a good asset to the technologically-oriented there. I want her to continue to develop her metalbending . . . and it sounds like she's going to have to learn to dodge/bend bullets, from the way guns are progressing. ^^;

While I always love CR with her cast, I want to expand her network. She had a great one her last go-around in the game, and I totally miss it.

Also: Toph has been pretty disinterested in the kedan and the families at this point (except to shake down the former when they stole Aang's soul gem). Can anyone help change this?

SCENE-DOS: I'm open for most things, honestly! I love anything plot-oriented, whether that's personal character plot or getting engaged in the overarching plot. I love to feel like I'm accomplishing something.
SCENE-DON'TS: I'm pretty lukewarm on slice-of-life. It's one of those things I wish I was better at, but it tends to peter off with me unless I have some kind of goal. (Though the idea of a goal can be defined pretty loosely -- CR development, character development, plot development, or just something I'd really love to see the characters do.) Negative CR is fine, but good ooc communication is important to me for that.

LANDFALL PLANS - ZESHORA EDITION: I . . . honestly have no idea. But Toph doesn't know how to swim, so. ^^; She won't be wild about all the water.

CHARACTER: Vergil
CANON: Devil May Cry
PERSONALITY: Vergil presents himself as a cold heartless bastard to pretty much anyone at first. He does slowly open up to people after awhile, what this means is his own brand of loyalty. Someone attacks someone he cares about he will be in the attackers face fast. He is quick tempered but very patient at the same time. Though he can be a raging inferno it rarely shows on his face. He will protect those weaker than him if he sees them in danger

CURRENT STATUS: Vergils been working a lot of little jobs for a few Kedan, and generally trying to work his way out of poverty. He is using his jobs as an excuse to not interact with many people. He's a stubborn jerk but I hope this month to get him out and about more.
CR GOALS: I want ALL of the CR good, bad and inbetween~! Who wants a 30 year old douchebag as a friend? yes yes?

SCENE-DOS:I am actually open to all sorts of interactions. I flow pretty easy where ever I am pointed. I do generally default to prose by default but I as stated I can do either. Vergil will be more willing to use the network than Nelo Angelo was, he simply hasn't had anything to say yet.
SCENE-DON'TS: Nothing much here.

CHARACTER: Skulduggery Pleasant
CANON: Skulduggery Pleasant
PERSONALITY: Skulduggery is a living skeleton, a detective, and a sorcerer all wrapped up in one. He's practical, dryly arrogant, likes to talk without shutting up, and has more patience than people who know him give him credit for.

CURRENT STATUS: Frustrated. All these mysteries that he hasn't managed to solve yet; they're getting to him more than he cares to admit, so the ongoing muggings... aren't going to be fun. He also has an echo stone which contains memories of his dead wife he can play like an interactive movie, and he needs an impetus to keep from... you know, doing nothing but that. Luckily, he's going to get it! For various reasons, Solomon Wreath is going to follow Skulduggery around for two weeks this month playing Shakespeare sonnets on the violin, in the hopes that he'll get Skulduggery to agree to sing some ABBA for Raine. (Spoilers: it's going to work.)
CR GOALS: I want anyone and everyone who knows Skulduggery even peripherally to meet him once during the two weeks when he has a perpetual violinist behind him. Apart from that, Skulduggery's going to be focusing on the muggings, and could be a really good source of information for other characters looking into it.

SCENE-DOS: This month? I'm looking to stop that echo stone from becoming an unhealthy habit, which means anything that embarrasses Skulduggery is A-OK. And let's be real, I always enjoy that anyway. I lean towards third person prose, but I'll change to match whatever's being used in a thread!
SCENE-DON'TS: Skulduggery's an intensely observant character; he's a hell of a lot smarter than I am, and I like having tags which give me something to work off of with him. i.e., tags longer than a sentence or two. I also get bored with slice-of-life small talk stuff pretty quickly.

CHARACTER: Jack Frost
CANON: Rise of the Guardians
PERSONALITY: Winter spirit dork, he loves kids, he's grown up a lot in the time he's been in Keeliai. He has the a pretty big drive for helping others, and sometimes that gets him into trouble.
CURRENT STATUS: He's working and living at the Welcome Center along with his girlfriend, Zatanna. The continued fluctuations with the kedans' relationships with the Foreigners mean that he's not had as much chance to help make headway for the Foreigners' means yet. He also got some much needed face time with North, a fellow Guardian, but then had North leave, so he's a little bummed about that, even though he knows it was likely to happen.
CR GOALS: Jack is my character who's good for talking to anyone, so I'm open for any kind of CR. He's been around Keeliai almost the longest of anyone in game, so anyone who wants a perspective on previous things that happened, he's your guy.

CHARACTER: Yami no Bakura
CANON: Yuugiou
PERSONALITY: Cranky ancient thief, part-time evil villain, full-time ass. He's pretty cynical, especially lately given what's happened since the end of the Malicant, but he occasionally surprises by acting like a real person AKA a decent human being. Pretty much, it's a coin flip chance which attitude you get.
CURRENT STATUS: Bakura's making tentative headway on getting back to his regular self after some months of wallowing troubled times. He's reopened the Dojo in the Wood Sector and is also living there. He didn't meet up with anyone he knew during the 4th wall, so he doesn't feel like he missed much there. He might get involved in the ongoing muggings, if he decides it can benefit him.
CR GOALS: Things that make him interact with other people, especially in person. Owning the dojo means that he's liable to talk to any Foreigner that drops by, if only to get a better read on them. Likewise, he's fairly interested in other types of magic.

CHARACTER: Stork
CANON: Storm Hawks
PERSONALITY: Hyper-paranoid, very brilliant mechanical genius. He gets jumpy around everything that he thinks could be dangerous (which is almost everything) and very defensive of what he builds (even when he doesn't need to be). He is still very unhappy about being away from his ship and his squad, possibly in that order. Despite that, he's actually got a pretty snarky sense of humour (if a little morbid), and a not-entirely buried mother hen streak.
CURRENT STATUS: He's starting to settle down with regards to being stuck here. He met up with Piper from his squadron during the 4th wall (all handwaved, since I was playing both) so he at least feels more reassured that the Condor and his team haven't imploded in his absence. That said, now that she's disappeared, he's going to be unhappy and might need some cheering up. He's also planning an ill-advised and totally safe-warning disregarded black market trip to find some more mechanical supplies. He's working on acquiring enough parts to put together a skimmer, which is basically a jet-powered flying motorcycle.
CR GOALS: Stork runs more of the literal mechanics side and less so to computers, etc. So he'd be a good match-up for plotting for someone who wants to construct things but doesn't want to do it themselves. For non-tech types, he's a green alien thing-- there has to be SOMEONE who's curious about that! Basically anything that gives him (me) reason to talk about his background, because I shamelessly love writing worldbuilding and headcanon and such. ALSO he's (accidentally not accidentally) building a small cadre of teenagers, just like at home. Sometimes he doesn't act like it, but he's actually in his 20's, and he feels strangely obligated to look out for those younger than he is... while probably lecturing them on how to avoid 30,000 types of poisonous critters.

SCENE-DOS: I am equally good with prose or actionspam! Slightly preference for prose if it's a log scene, just because it flows better for me with descriptions, but I always match the starter.
SCENE-DON'TS: Can't think of anything in particular!

PERSONALITY: Looks like he's got all the emotions of a rock, is generally pretty grumpy because PEOPLE SUCK and likes magic, non-humans, animals, and more magic.

CURRENT STATUS: He's been grumpily trying to figure out if he can just. Wander off and not have to deal with cities but it doesn't look like it so he's generally :T

He's starting to pretend he's a swordsman over a mage, which is pretty much the opposite from the truth.
CR GOALS: HE NEEDS ALL THE CR. Particularly people he can sort of friend because that's how he gets pulled into things until he gets personally invested.

SCENE-DOS: I honestly love just about anything with Duke and ~having to be a person~ rather than a hermit. Dealing with conversations, making friends, silly little things like "no you can't live in the library". Prose/action spam honestly depends on what's going on. I can go from PARAGRAPHS to Duke has two words to say and isn't thinking much either. Duke is hard to network early, and hard to in-person early because ??? people :T, but in-person is more do-able because.. he can walk off but he can be followed? While shutting off the network thing is.. hard to continue XD;;;
SCENE-DON'TS: Too much slice of life gets tricky because Duke sort of settles and gets comfortable doing the same things over and over. ... and that doesn't really work well for games.

CHARACTER: Aya
CANON: Green Lantern: The Animated Series
PERSONALITY: Two year old Artificial Intelligence who's mentally and physically a lovely girl in her late teens. And also alive. Aya is very confident and proud of who/what she is, even if she's not quite so proud of where she came from. Because the Guardians are jerks who basically tried to delete her for "exceeding acceptable parameters". She's incredibly book smart, capable of performing complex mathematical calculations and highly advanced scientific scans in seconds, and is all about the Science. At the same time, however, she is extremely loving and open about her feelings. If you piss her off, you will know. If she likes you, you will know. Given her power levels, it's probably safer to aim for the latter.

CHARACTER: Midii Une
CANON: Gundam Wing: Episode Zero
PERSONALITY: Introverted, but gradually coming out of her antisocial shell, Midii can be kind of a brat at times, but also has her sweet moments. She's incredibly clever and knows it, though far from a genius, and very big on Logic and Reason. Though her time playing Turtle Mama to Riva has softened her heart considerably and opened her mind to more abstract possibilities. Between the three, Midii's probably grown the most, having arrived as an eleven-year-old and turned fourteen as of this past November.

CHARACTER: Zatanna Zatara
CANON: Young Justice
PERSONALITY: Fun, friendly, and forever looking for ways to keep herself busy. Preferably by being useful. She's matured a lot over the three and a half years she'd been in Keelai/Dreaming, and willingly takes on a lot more responsibilities now. As one of the longest residing Foreigners, she's taken it upon herself lately to pass along a lot of information about The Old Days. Not only the Malicant battle, but long before that, even. She's all about the magic, with a very proud lineage, and also one of the most loyal friends a person could have once they get close to her.


CURRENT STATUS: AYA is currently working for Zanru over at Stark Industries, while teaching classes on the side for encryption and trying to figure out why the Network Consoles no longer allow for it. MIDII is just getting over the six month 'versary of losing the baby turtles who were killed by Malicant, might be picking up some mechanical skills from Stork, and had talked with Skulduggery about the idea of starting a Foreigners Census to get a better idea of who's here and how many. ZATANNA is still living at the Welcome Center with her boyfriend, Jack, was a mugging victim and noticed that something was done to her gem (though she still doesn't know what, it basically felt like an "alignment change" of sorts)...oh, yeah, and she's going to be turning eighteen years old on May 20th.
CR GOALS: I would definitely love to do Birthday Shenanigans for Zee, get Midii out there socializing--she's starting to improve now that things are settling down a bit again--and have Aya continue ALL THE SCIENCE THINGS ALWAYS.

Landfall Plans: I...currently have very few at this time. It would be kind of funny for somebody to worry over Aya because of all that water, only to realize that she's completely waterproof. Zatanna wants to go swimming & tan on the beach (though she also might casually worry about Jack because it's getting warmer out again), and for some reason I have it in my head for Midii to start attempting to catch some local seafood on her own. Otherwise, I'm going with a lot of spontaneity and improvisation for this one.

SCENE-DOS: Network Posts are always easier for me when it comes to random and/or new CR interactions, but I'm always cool with setting up some log action as well. Bracket preference, style-wise.
SCENE-DON'TS: One of my muses is 14 years old. One is turning 18 this month. One is almost three, but looks like a teenaged girl. The only thing I ever ask is to take these particular ages into account when it comes to interactions. If you're unsure, you're always welcome to ask; I rarely get offended, personally, and simply wish to respect anyone in the game who might.

PERSONALITY: Spoiled, slightly self-centered rich guy who's actually kind of nice and not evil at all?? Charming and charismatic when it comes to being a salesman, sort of helpless when it comes to personal relationships. Definitely helpless when it comes to being a real person. Normally he has interns for this shit, yo.

CURRENT STATUS: Working for Zanru, teaching kedan how to computers. Living in the Hotel and he's not planning to change that anytime soon, thank you. He likes the no violence rule just fine. Has been mugged more than twice and his canon nemesis is causing trouble again so he's going to be hiring a bodyguard to follow him around the city. And he's hired a kedan as an assistant. He has an ~*~entourage~*~

CR GOALS: Shit I can't say everything can I I've been hella flaky on people this last month and I apologize for that, so I'd love to try getting some new CR or poking a bit more at any failed CR attempts that may have been dropped by me. Honestly? Krei needs friends. Or at least friendly acquaintances. He has negative CR out the wazoo with Callaghan and could use some positive CR for a change. Or even just neutral-ish CR. Talking about robots. Being a functional adult and doing adult things.

SCENE-DOS: I tend to prefer face-to-face things, I guess? IDK I'm up for either really. I don't mind slice of life as long as there's some kind of a point to it. Small things can be interesting! I also love horror no, really? and fluff and angst and... yeah. All the things.

SCENE-DON'TS: I suck at first meetings and I'm getting a little tired of Krei having to be shocked over someone being funny colored or having magic or whatnot. Playing normal people is so hard sometimes dammit. I don't MIND having Krei meet new people, please throw new people at him!!, but if there's any possibility of handwaving the aforementioned things I am ALL FOR IT.

PERSONALITY: Fiery, manipulative, inhuman, proud, protective (Of a select few people), prone to overreaction, is capable of being nice, but kind of a mental mess right now. She is quite intelligent, but her mental instability sometimes counteracts that.

CURRENT STATUS: Broken and trying to put herself back together. She is still learning about human emotions and how to deal with them as well as the realization that she is not capable of dealing with everything by herself. She has never had to, or been able to, rely on others before, so it is a hard lesson to learn, but she is learning it. Currently, she is trying to gain information on the leader of the snakes, but her plans to remove him from power have been put on hold.

CR GOALS: Please help me put my character back together. I broke her, really badly, and she really needs friends. I would like to expand CR this month to include new people and more positive CR.
SCENE-DOS: God knows she needs fluff!! I prefer prose over actionspam, prose is just how I think and actionspam takes me longer to brain. I am generally open to pretty much everything except PC vs PC violence, I've had enough of that for a while. I'd like for Valdis to explore new things this month and maybe learn some new skills.

CANON: Persona 4
PERSONALITY: Contemporary-ish Japanese underachieving high school student and all-round butt monkey. Outgoing and cheerful by default, pathetically excitable, more of a (mundane, gamer/toku/foreign music type) nerd than he lets on, and of course nursing a bitter streak a mile wide. Worked part-time in a superstore back home, which is a critical characterisation detail, okay. He's prone to sarcasm and in general just shooting his mouth off, with varying success, but mostly negative for his self-esteem. His only other skill is summoning a magical ninja demon frog with his brain, as you do.

CURRENT STATUS: He landed in a field about a month and a half ago now, and has been running errands to pay for a bed in the Midnight Hotel, since his need to sleep somewhere comfortable trumps how much he resents it. On the side, my intention was that he's been flitting between shop jobs too to try and pick up spare change, although I don't think he's found anything permanent yet (because I've been scraping by on tags this month, whoops). Either more or less interestingly, he's developing a vague suspicion of the kedan in general since the first rash of soul gem thefts, with a specific if small grudge against the guy who shot Xion; he and his BFF have been asking around town in case anyone can point them in relevant directions other than the two publicly paraded by the Snakes. They haven't had any success there, but effort counts, right :|b
CR GOALS: I'd really like him to get an in with the metaplot somehow, whether piggybacking off the above recent stuff or totally novel. He's a teenager with the judgement and forward planning of a teenager, so at best it might take one rash decision with people watching, but honestly I'm open. And equally up for involving him in other characters' plots and development, fwiw - otherwise the metaplot stuff has less impact!

SCENE-DOS: He's a fairly versatile character in terms of tone - comic relief, slice of life, male bonding, action, adventure, attempted murder, it's all covered - and I'm cool with both silliness and heavier stuff so long as I get warned for the outright horror-ish. He's also a great chew toy if you need somebody aggressively befriended, because as long as your first interaction is remotely positive he'll just keep crawling back like a particularly optimistic puppy. I'll point out that he probably doesn't yet have the developed CR to sustain something very introspective, but anything that would move towards that? Yes, yes, god yes! I think it'd be especially fun to build up his awkward rapports with people outside his normal peer group, younger and older... but it's all good, tbh.
SCENE-DON'TS: It's not deliberate, but I tend to be slower with prose threads than other kinds of tags, although I like them just fine. Beyond that, the only things I can think of are like major injury and/or death, smut, and stuff along that level of unlikely; anything that does come up, just run it by me first and it'll probably work out.

LANDFALL PLANS - ZESHORA EDITION: This is his first landfall, so if nothing else he'll revel in the change of scenery and stare from a short distance away if any young women in his age range happen to go for a splash, ahem.
