Techy People, Assemble?

Given recent in-game events, I and a few others have proposed a sort of player plot idea that I wanted to run by anybody else whose characters would have gotten in on the Science happening (I'm perfectly fine with handwaving or backtagging, if one so desires)...or any muns who might want to get in on it now, while the getting's still good.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: to my knowledge, there are two major experiments going on currently.  There is the studying of the virus that's infected the consoles, which has been the amazing work of Mike as seen here, as well as Aya's Network Post offering the resources of both Stark Industries and Wayne Enterprise Science Labs, and Subsequent Open Log in which she was given the idea by Clark and Donatello to create Foreign communicators based on the radio technology already available.  The latter has basically become her newest pet project, and the primary focus of my Plot Idea.

PLOT IDEA: Aya & company will have succeeded in creating a series of small hand-held radio systems that could be used for private communications between people too paranoid to use the Network.  However, to avoid turning this into a total deus ex machina Aya, I'm thinking of putting certain restrictions on it:

(1) Option One: A limited number of systems would be available ONLY to those who are involved in upcoming Hero groups working together against Malicant.

(2) Option Two: Any Individual who wants one will be welcome to come collect, but asked to keep broadcasts limited to only important messages.  This isn't meant to be a total Network Replacement, after all, since the entire Network falling completely silent would be incredibly suspicious to one of Malicant's intelligence.

(3) Option Three: Radios are distributed at leisure to whomever desires one, with no restrictions.  But with a significantly lower guarantee of maintained secrecy and encryption.  In other words, while encryptions might be safe from Malicant, any and all transmissions will be openly viewed/heard by anybody in possession of a Radio.

Of course, with any of these options, there is always the potential for enemy discovery later on.  Depending upon how it's received and how the game-wide plot goes.  I can say that with radios like these, because they're portable...there is the risk that a single person could lose or have theirs taken away.  And if the enemy gets their hands on them...well....

So, basically, before I do the final write-up request to set this in motion, I have two questions.  Who wants in, and which Option do you think would be best?

The content, I don't think, will be nearly as tricky as the management of the log itself. Once we know what we're going for and what we want to come out as a result. Of course it's not up to me, but I wouldn't recommend more than three people to a thread for this very reason, and two if possible. Modeled similarly to how the log Al put up is going. It's slow, but I feel as if things are happening. Which is what we need in a game like this. The consequences need to be FELT in a timely manner.

So, yeah, we'll start with the open mingle and work from there both OOCly and ICly.

I agree fully. It goes back to the numbers, but again, that's just a bridge we'll have to cross once we actually get to it. Better management of participants means more timely progression, and with the huge changes to the overall game currently being discussed, the quicker the better.

tl;dr, sounds like a plan.

Fabulous.

First week in June, then? Permission permitting, I was going to have Aya's announcement of the new radios on the first. Granted, I will be away at Anext the weekend of the 6th, but I'll be back Sunday, Monday latest eat to catch up on anything I might miss.

First week of June works for me! I'll hit up Don-mun as well regarding what we've talked about and see if she has any more input.
