Event Aftermath | Curfew & You!
As announced here, there is currently a sunset-to-sunrise curfew in effect until further notice. What does this mean? Any character seen out and about by officers or Evandau once the turtle starts glowing and until dawn each night will be marked as a suspicious character and attempt(s) to arrest them will be made. This post will, hopefully, clear up what that means in particular and will provide a forum for any OOC plotting that y'all might want to do regarding it!
Gang Activity | Post War:
First off, what's this about a curfew and the arrest authority being rescinded? Turns out that, with the help of the Foreigners (and despite the prison break), the surge of crime and gang activity has finally subsided and the streets are much safer than they've been in the past month.
While they're not fully out of the water yet, the gangs themselves have solidified their powerbases and have drawn new lines of territory in their Sectors. The pushing and shoving has mostly come to an end, but Evandau's enacting the curfew to keep legal activity to daylight hours and assist him in quashing the last of the big-name troublemakers.
On the day-to-day, this means a reduction of crime and a resumption of gang-free zones in Water and Wood Sectors. The Metal Sector will begin rebuilding with what resources Keeliai has currently, same as at the palace, but the work will be slow due to a limitation of supplies.
Curfew Terms:
Basically, this curfew works 'as the turtle glows' in that people are free to go about their lives and work during the daylight hours. Once the sun falls, special permission is both necessary and difficult to obtain in order to be out of one's suite.
The Alderwood Commander will have increased police presence patroling the streets each night, with the orders that anyone caught outside their suite is to be apprehended on suspicion of gang participation and brought to the local precinct for questioning.
This curfew will be in effect for the near future and a post will be made once it has ended. OOCly, as seen on the event calendar, it will last for one week.
Arrest Terms:
Those characters that do not plan to keep to curfew have a few options, but standard operating procedure for the police force is to arrest anyone they witness out and about during curfew hours and they will be extra vigilant in this regard. All police officers are kedan and, as such, stronger and hardier than baseline humans, therefore attempts to resist arrest will have varied results, but they can be outwitted in instances where brute force would fail.
Foreigners defying arrest and successful in evading or countering arrest attempts will be brought to the attention of the Alderwood Commander after 2-3 days/instances of such defiance. Evandau will then mobilise to make the arrest himself.
Arrested characters will be detained for 24 hours and questioned as to their purpose for being out, their connections, and their actions during the recent gang war. Unless the police obtain some sort of confession of gang involvement, they will be released after 24 hours with a warning to not be caught out after dark again.
OOC Terms:
What does this all mean? WELP! You, the player, have the option of having your character(s) flaunt curfew with the recollection that IC actions = IC consequences.
Any instances of a character being caught out/arrested by standard police officers can freely handwave the occurrence according to the above details re: arrest and questioning. It's a harmless procedure and no torture techniques will be applied, I promise!
However, if your character refuses to comply with the curfew and is seen doing it over the course of 2-3 nights, then Evandau will get involved in the arrest process and that's where OOC coordination comes into play. I'm willing to thread out arrests/questioning with Evandau, but equally willing to handwave it after a discussion with players that have characters unlikely to comply with curfew.
SO, where do we go from here? WELL! The plan is for a log post with Evandau to go up Tuesday sometime. This is where any threads re: arrest and/or questioning with him will go. If you're interested in doing this, leave a comment on this post under the EVANDAU comment header and I'll ping you to work out the details! At the moment, it's planned for Kon-El to be one of these characters, but there is no minimum or maximum number of threads for this.
Other Plotting:
Also, feel free to ask any questions you may have or do general plotting in the comments of this post! Additionally, plotting is great for the CR With Me meme, hint hint. 8D
Additionally, just a reminder that curfew is coming into effect around the same time as the Triela Withdrawal subevent, so that's still on the happen. /o/

EVANDAU

The next time, though. The next time they'll probably need to bring in the big guns. Sound reasonable? I hope I'm not missing any details here.

I'll be doing up a log Tuesday to be dated during curfew. Do you want to handwave or log it up?

I have left it open re: what HB is doing on this fine evening, so feel free to set the scene as you like.

Re: EVANDAU
Then it comes down to what you'd prefer? If he's spotted two nights in a row, then Evandau would probably mobilise to arrest him.

OTHER
Re: OTHER
I'm personally okay with her getting pulled in at some point. She's kind of too cocky for her own good sometimes, and probably won't be able to get away with it forever. XD
Re: OTHER
Re: OTHER
Re: OTHER
When arrested, she'd just be questioned about her purpose and connections. I assume that's fine to handwave?
Re: OTHER
And yeah, handwaving works fine for me. She'll be honest and totally unapologetic about what she's doing, and flatly refuse to talk about anything re: her fellow vigilantes.
Re: OTHER
She'd be released after about 24 hours, so how's that jail time record, Rikki? 8D

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THAR. Only, I didn't. (fuu)

Bucky will stick to Steve's decision re curfew.

Either just patrolling, though with most normal citizens observing the curfew, street crime is likely to be down, orrrrr stopping a small gang from breaking and entering into a house he knows has children inside? (shh. It's his thing.)

I've left it open as to exactly what Robin is doing, so feel free to set the scene however you like it.
