Hello turtle game.

Just a quick heads up that my job is about to get 100% more festive, and 3000% more Grinchy starting this week. See, last year for the last two weeks of December / first week of January, I put in an average of a 13 hour day, working straight through all three weeks, no days off.

Yes, that includes Christmas day too.

I don't anticipate this year being any different. Yay me? ヽ(;▽;)ノ

Hiatus is running from 12/21/13 to 1/4/14.

Thanks! Pray for my sanity!

So, Eshai is dead and the Alderwood Emperor has assumed command of Keeliai. What does that mean for the turtle, you ask?

Well, first of all: Asti. There is going to be a massive surge of emotion all across the turtle. It'll be a little too complicated for most people to comprehend but there will be feelings of despair and sadness, but it'll be followed by a sense of protection and safety/security as Asti tries to apologize for letting his emotions run away with him. This feeling will happen around six AM, so anyone who's sleeping will probably be jolted awake at this time.

Second of all: Investigations. As Foreigners are largely considered to be incapable of sneaking into the palace after the efforts of ASS, as heightened security measures were put into place at that time, Evandau is going to suspect it was an inside job, possibly a kedan possessed by Malicant. So while security will be a little heightened, most of it won't reflect on the Foreigner population.

Thirdly: The Barrier. Eshai put failsafes into effect that would preserve the barrier in the event of her accidental or untimely demise, so it will remain as it is at present.

Fourth: The Palace. At the time of Eshai's death, the walls of the white palace will have turned jet black, and they will be cracked and crumbled in places. It should be assumed that the name 'Malicant' will no longer be safe to say there, and so cannot be discussed anywhere on Tu Vishan.

Fifth: Arrival of the Newbies. As with the barrier, the newbies will arrive on schedule. This is not a permanent system, and will eventually degrade to the point of non-functionality, at which time other ways to pull people into Keeliai will have to be found. If your character would have suggestions or be willing to help try and maintain the process, have them contact the Alderwood Emperor, who has set up an IC Inbox for ease of communication in this time of dire need.

Sixth: General Atmosphere. The general atmosphere of the game – towards the Foreigners – will not change, but the kedan will be in a state of mourning. There will be small celebrations held in Eshai's name, and there will be Lanterns released into the air in her honour. There will be no centralized celebration, and while the kedan will seem a little sadder than usual, they won't likely discuss it with the Foreigners.

Seven: Malicant. Is cackling gleefully somewhere. Stay tuned for now!

Hey, Tu Shanshu! I was here for a short time in the summer with Po, but life got in the way. Now I'm back with Fandral the Dashing of the Warriors Three (his full title is very important, okay) from MCU, specifically the Thor films! He's super charming and good with any kind of sword ever and also BFFs with Thor. And Loki. Or, you know, he was, but then treachery and traitors in the house of Odin and Chitauri parties and now it's complicated. He likes good food and maidens and battle and wine and maidens and blades and being charming and handsome and ridiculously good-looking. He'll be living in the Wood Sector (WO-2A) and comes from after The Dark World, so if you still haven't seen it and want to avoid spoilers, let me know!

I won't be ICly introducing him until tomorrow or Wednesday, but I'm super excited and very glad to be here. Looking forward to it!

Right then! Recent events have finally given Temeraire the kick in the tail he needed to begin organizing what he calls the Keeliai Aerial Corps, which in actuality is more like a ragtag band of volunteer fliers whose names he and Iskierka have in case it ever comes to an all-out physical battle. Not only are they looking for crewmembers, they're also looking to train with people who are capable of flying independently so they're used to maneuvering around each other in a combat situation.

And, you know, you'll get a shiny badge. Probably. So there's that.

If you think your characters might be interested, please proceed below the cut!

I know I said I was going to try and stick with Jehan but the plot announcement this morning really made it clear that as much as I love everyone here, Tu Shanshu just isn't the game for me. I'm dropping Jean Prouvaire and with him the game.

If any of his friends go to his apartment before it's cleaned out, they'll find the gifts he bought for the holidays out in the open, half sorted.
