Hello, chelonauts! We're back again, ready for 2013's first CR meme!

As usual, when plotting out any CR potential, please be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should go for coffee next week' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.'

Mind that the form's a bit different this month, including two new sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill!

Turtle Dive Event:
We are in the final countdown for the start of the Turtle Diving Event, which will start with a leisurely tour of the ocean floor followed by a course of zombies. A section has been added to the form to include any specific plotting or for you to put links to your plotting threads on the plotting post.

I can offer (3) distinct CR possibilities! One as you know is with The Batman who might get along with him in that Gentleman's Club sort of way? (even though Bruce is such a faker when he's acting like that haha... but I'd be open to Dorian puzzling out that there's something off about him because he's several hundred years old and Bruce's track record against immortals is, um, interesting).

The second is Brandon who is a brat and is definitely young enough to think Dorian is really cool even though he's too old to admit it. Potential hero worship shenanigans? :|a

And then there's Aisha who would probably be a source of negative CR/snark. He's the sort of guy she'd probably want to castrate but charming enough she'd only threaten and not actually, um, act on it.

Now I want Dorian to start wondering about Bruce's weirdness just to add to that track record. I wonder how their attitudes would interact? Pondering this I'm curious how it would go because there is in Dorian too a certain fakeness to his Gentleman's Club behaviour and that could be interesting to see play out.

Oh I'd feel bad for that kid on his hero worship. And I got "A Whole New World" stuck in my head instantly. BRANDON HE CAN SHOW YOU THE WORLD. Brandon also seems to have a personality type I'd be interested in seeing him with just for how he'd try to handle it.

So my first thought was "it's okay, it would grow back." Bbt I think it'd be really fun to have CR that walked the line of animosity! ...It occurs to me that Dorian is British and I don't know if Aisha is anti-British to go with her anti-American (because jfc the shit the British Empire got up to) but hey, I do headcanon that Farsi is a language he picked up. Mainly because he likes Hafez (hello 19th century touchstone in homosexual literary tradition!) but also because he certainly travelled in the Middle East at some point and should have at least one language from the region.

They can just be faking fakers that fake things. We could have them meet via Favrielle maybe? Since Bruce is constantly over there for fittings and superhero business et al? And then that could add an extra layer to the dynamic as well.

ROFL don't ever feel bad for Brandon, he's a jerk. (he's from a canonpoint shortly after he tortured someone on camera trolo) So yes I would like to see this happen immensely.


She's not as anti-British. She doesn't like them much either but Americans definitely occupy the top spot of hatred in her mind. She worked with British intelligence officers and whatnot (which isn't much of a line in the sand because she worked with the CIA too) but yeah. MOSTLY SHE JUST HATES EVERYONE AWWH YISS. And I love borderline animosity so yes let's do this. The hardest part is generally getting her to actually communicate instead of walking away or hanging up on a person.

hey sometimes I feel sorry for jerks!! sometimes I even have it in me to feel bad for Lord Henry. But yes good.

Ah yes. HM well I am not sure what brings Aisha to the table for anything, but if there is something, I can probably adapt Dorian to it? He's the most adaptable adapter who ever adapted.

tbh I have thought so many times about picking up Henry from the novel itself. He is so my type sob. ONE DAY...
