hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the newest edition of the CR Meme! For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly extremely sporadic memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're interested in for your characters in coming months. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Usayi' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! CURRENT STATUS:
Gene is having a crisis because his mom showed up and his entire life before he came to Keeliai has been turned on its head. Fun. He can be found in the Jade Dojo or at the KPD throwing himself into his work.
Jackie is running the Golden Koi and about to start his Force training with Kylo Ren. Prepare for him to get a little Dark Side-y!
Peridot is finishing her limb enhancers and being Sherlock's housekeeper. She is incredibly shit at it.
Alex is moping that his best friend has left Keeliai so he will be doing some hardcore investigation and spy shit.
Miles is going to be doing some hardcore journalism because the PTSD has kicked back in hardcore due to the memory plot so he needs A DISTACTION. He'll probably check out the Milyn stuff.

CR GOALS: I love all of the CR. All of it. I actually kinda want some negative CR for my morons! It is rare but I have The Urge.

SCENE-DOS: I normally do logs, but Miles is probably gonna do network posts. I love all sorts of crazy shit and threads going places you don't expect.

CURRENT STATUS: Right now, Brigid is working at the Shelter, with Erskine and Sonja, and really enjoying it. She got two calls about it this month from some fairly important NPCs. Also, she's finding a picture this month of her and her Da.

CR GOALS: I'd like to make her step out of her comfort zone. She gets into ruts and needs something to bump her out of them. She's dating Jackie Ma, and needs to work out some things with him. Any CR that wants to talk to her is fine!

SCENE-DOS: I love prose with Brigid. She doesn't get on the network too much, but random encounters, people recognizing her for working at the shelter - her hair's pretty recognizable - anything like that are A+ in my book.

SCENE-DON'TS: DO NOT MENTION HER BEING A WEREWOLF. If you suspect? That's fine. If you want your character to know, we're going to have to work that out. It's her one secret and she guards it jealously.

ADDITIONAL:

CURRENT STATUS: Heather is working at the Shaded Lantern as well as the Healer's Guild. She got new clothes from her madame this month, and will be seen wearing those while working. She's friends with Kylo Ren, or at least considers them friends. She also is getting the shit beat out of her this month, about mid-month. Really badly beaten.

CR GOALS: I'd like clients for Heather. We don't have to write out porn, but a few clients would be nice for her. She's also looking to take a lover - someone who doesn't pay, but is more for her, than for sex.

SCENE-DOS: Flirting. Heather can and will flirt with your character. Someone to actually take her up on her offers. She kinda needs that. Someone old to commiserate with. Because Whippersnappers everywhere!

SCENE-DON'TS: Let's not kill her just yet. Not again. Kylo did it once, but they worked out their issues. Only Kylo and Alex know that she's old. So no knowing that without working things out.

CURRENT STATUS:
Zelos is pretty much booked for March for oh so many reasons. By the end of the month, though, he'll be an angel! That means glittering intangible wings he can pull in and out at will, and the ability to survive pretty much anywhere by turning off biological functions like breathing and pain. He's bartending at the Midnight Hotel, and otherwise generally making a nuisance of himself probably.

CR GOALS: Spoiler alert: I've never played an openly flirty character before. I'd love to play around with that to boost my confidence a little! Aside from that -- especially given Zelos's canon point, the fact that his only real company for most of March will have been a man he really doesn't like, and that he met his bestie Lloyd during fourth wall who is now gone again -- he needs friends. People who challenge him usually fit that bill. Looking at you, Pepper.

SCENE-DOS: I usually default to prose, but especially with Zelos and my academic life lately, I'm trying to get in the habit of more actionspam, since that usually comes a little quicker. Threads with direction and a purpose are going to hold my interest longer; small talk or 'let's see where it goes' threads I historically struggle with.

SCENE-DON'TS: Hi I'm running a large-scale research study and writing a thesis this year. I'm going to have limited time and energy for RP, so I am going to avoid the aforementioned small talk and 'let's see where it goes' threads if I can help it.

Danny works maintenance at the hotel. We could probably organize a run-in if you're interested in CR with him. I'm completely canon blind, so no idea whether it would go positive or negative.

oooooh yes that would be cool. Danny Phantom was my go-to show for watching after school and I feel like CR between these two could kind of go either way. I'm happy to organise a run-in next month and see how things play out :3

CANON: Young Justice
CURRENT STATUS: Resident Senior Foreigner in terms of Time Spent in Keelai (she was apped in November of 2012), there isn't much in-game that surprises her anymore or questions she can't answer about the game's history. What has recently caught her completely off guard was the reappearance of her long-time boyfriend, a certain Winter Spirit named Jack Frost. Combined with inquiries from two different NPCs asking about her aforementioned Senior Foreigner Status and her Magic...and it's safe to say this month has a chance of things getting real Interesting.
CR GOALS: A lot of this might depend upon how those NPC conversations go, but it might be interesting for her to compare notes with other long-time Keelai residents and see if they had any similar conversations. Besides that, Zee's always around to answer questions and basically be as Welcoming as her place of residence indicates.

CHARACTER: Midii Une / unetrustworthy
CANON: Gundam Wing: Episode Zero
CURRENT STATUS: SO FOR ME PERSONALLY IT'S KIND OF AMAZING JUST HOW FAR THIS GIRL HAS COME DEVELOPMENTALLY. She entered Keelai in June of 2013 as a highly paranoid 11-year-old who'd literally just walked off a battlefield...and these days, she's a relatively normal, if still precocious, 16-year-old girl. She smiles! She makes friends! She's slightly more willing to trust! ...but still healthily skeptical, such as when an NPC contacted her about possibly wanting a role to play in the Guild, or another NPC questioning her on whether or not she was 'happy' with her current situation.
CR GOALS: For some reason, she's been the most talkative of the three the last couple months, starting and engaging in a variety of conversations. I think the most interesting thing about her is her current job as a gopher/errand runner for a range of small, local kedan businesses, so if anybody wants to do something with that, I'm open to ideas.

CHARACTER: Aya / looksfine
CANON: Green Lantern: The Animated Series
CURRENT STATUS: Aya's conversations with NPCs have been probably the most interesting so far, as she was recently asked if it "troubled" her that her comprehensive skills were above those of most other Foreigners. (Spoilers: it doesn't). She also recently revealed her age publicly. (Spoilers: she's almost Five Years Old, give or take) So that might be of interest to some people. Oh, yeah, and she's requested that Kylo Ren start training her in Force things. Because there's absolutely no way that tempting her to the Dark side could possibly go wrong, right?
CR GOALS: FORCE TRAINING is probably my greatest wish at the moment, but I'm always up for anybody who wants to get in on TEAM SCIENCE

SCENE-DOS: I tend to be better at unplanned responses when they're over the Network, and rarely tag into logs unless it's a planned action scene. Brackets work best for me, but I can adapt to prose just as easily if that's what someone prefers, particularly if it's in a log. I'm also up for most anything. Friendly fluff. Conflict. Silly. Dramatic. I'm always game for talking more about Tu Shanshu's past through the IC perspectives of all three girls, or even doing a bit of World Building in the present time.
SCENE-DON'TS: With few exceptions, anything shippy is basically out. Not because I'm against it, but because it just wouldn't happy IC for any of them at their current stages (Zee's bf is back and she doesn't want to get in more trouble, Midii has given up and resigned herself to becoming an old cat lady at 16, and Aya is...Aya.). Crushes are okay, if that's how cr turns out, but just know that they would most likely go unrequited. Also nothing that would be inappropriate for a 16-year-old human or ~5-year-old (though she is mentally/physically late teens) robot. Zatanna is technically almost 20, though, so feel free to take that into account even though her icons are still from Season 1 (tbh I really just don't like most of the art for Season 2, which is the reason I haven't switched by now)

CURRENT STATUS: Though I am currently on Hiatus, Valdis is running the KPD on autopilot for the month. (Or until I feel better). She is suspicious of the kedan who reached out to her, thinking that there must be some hidden agenda.

CR GOALS: I would love to reinforce the CR I already have and perhaps reach out into some new CR.

SCENE-DOS: I like purpose to my threads and Plot. Plot is my lifeblood. If you have a plot, I am so game!

SCENE-DON'TS: I dislike slice of life and aimless conversations. I am also trying to take a break from driving plot myself, but am perfectly willing to join yours.

CANON: Detective Conan

CURRENT STATUS:
Conan had a rough time last month. He got into some tense conversations with Sherlock and Raine over his determination to take care of all of his problems by himself without endangering anyone else. Alex found out that he'd gotten involved with the FBI and CIA in his world. Penny found out that Conan had been seriously shot once, and then Conan found out that Penny was a psychic. And then to top everything else off, three people from his home showed up during Fourth Wall. And disappeared just as quickly.

Conan is likely to try avoiding people for a while as he tries to sort all of this out.

Danny had a much easier time. Tony got added to the very short list of people who know his secret identity, but that didn't turn out bad. Danny and Adrien found out that they both have screwed up families. A couple other people saw some of his memories of the ghost zone, but I don't think anyone else figured out any secrets.

CR GOALS: As much as I love negative CR, I'd love to give Conan a break and get him some actually positive CR. You know, as long as we're talking longshot dream CR.

Danny? He could use more friends, but also I would love to play out getting some negative CR over the ghost thing. He's starting to get little freaked out over how well everyone has been taking him.

SCENE-DOS: Network and posts are both fine with me. I like the slice of life things I've been doing, but I would love to get into more plot and action type things. Also looking forward to playing out consequences from last month with Conan.

SCENE-DON'TS: Can't think of anything?

CHARACTER: Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir / purrns
CANON: Miraculous Ladybug

CURRENT STATUS: As Adrien he works bussing tables in the Midnight Hotel and volunteering in the Healer's Guild. As Chat, he works at nighttime in the Police Force (where he does a lot of night patrols). So if your character is gonna be anywhere in those places, chances are high he'll run into them. He's also currently living in the Sky Sector with Marinette.
Recently a few people learned about his secret identity and he's mulling over just letting the secret out completely or trying to play the same old hide who you are thing he's been doing since he got here. Of course, he's been here for a year now, so he's getting less and less concerned when people actually do figure it out.

CR GOALS: Adrien was denied real friends for the first 15 years of his life so he's rather starved for it. If someone wants to be his friend he will absolutely be their friend, no matter who they are or what wlak of life they come from. Obviously things like fellow teeangers, fellow superheros and fellow teenaged superheros do a lot better- but honestly he'll happily chat to adults and form good bonds with them, too.

He's pretty polite and stand-offish as Adrien, thanks to being brought up to be respectable at all times, so you're more likely to catch a better (albeit overstated) glimpse of his real personality as Chat. He's starting to let more of it show without the mask, as he gets close to people, but while CR is new, expect a lot of polite restraint from him without the mask on. Those that already know his secret identity will soon find he lets his actual personality slip through the polite wall a lot more when he's around them.

SCENE-DOS: Legitimately anything. Slice of life, deep threads, battles!!! friendships. I'll do just about anything. One sided crushes are fine, but he's pretty deeply in love with Marinette so he won't ever return them (sorry Bisi).

SCENE-DON'TS: Aside from the shipping, not much! It's harder to get negative CR from him because he's achingly decent and genuinely believes there's good in everyone. I'm happy to try negative CR, but it may be a tricky thing to get from Adrien Agreste: Actual Disney Princess.

CANON: Iron Man: Armored Adventures

CURRENT STATUS: Pepper's dad has gone home with the other temporary Foreigners, so she's a bit bummed about that, but there are other things in her life that are happier. She's still helping to lead the Foreigner-kedan police force, and despite some bumps, her relationship with Bakura is going well. She can be found at the Jade Dojo at least four days a week for training, and also just to hang out.

CR GOALS: I'd like some CR with characters she hasn't interacted with much, if anyone wants a seriously chatty redhead.

SCENE-DOS: I am up for just about everything. I'd be up for throwing her into challenging situations, but I do like a balance of lighter stuff if a thread goes darker. There may be some angsting over her dad leaving again to be had. If anyone wants to do any magic-related stuff, that would be fun; she hasn't had the chance to use her Shadow Magic significantly for a bit.

SCENE-DON'TS: None at the moment. Bring me all the things!
