[Fai is simultaneously grateful for the extra time to pull himself together and not quite so thrilled about having to be alone with the contents of his head. Some of the information from the last several hours is a blessing--the knowledge that he's not the monster he's spent half of his life believing he was. It's going to take some time to really let that sink in, but every time his mind skips back around to that fact it's with a bone-deep sense of relief.
The rest....
By the time the sound of the hotel room door filters through to the bathroom, Fai is up and out of the tub, wrapped in the bathrobe Kurogane left for him. His face is scrubbed clean, his eye doesn't look quite as red from crying as it did ten minutes ago, and his hair is still damp and loose around his shoulders. With one last look in the mirror to make sure he doesn't look like a complete trainwreck (verdict: 25% trainwreck; he can work with that) he pushes his way out through the bathroom door and into the bedroom.
And he doesn't know what to say. What do you say after something like that? Especially when the life-altering events of the last day were months ago for Kurogane?
Well, that's his answer. You don't say anything about it, because Kurogane's already been there. No point in re-hashing the past for him, right?
Fai pads across the room on bare feet to examine the clothes Kurogane's laid out for him, not exactly smiling but not looking horribly out of sorts either.]
Not bad. I think you may have even guessed my size right, Kuro-pu.
