Welcome to the newest edition of the CR Meme!

For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~~~bimonthly~~ extremely sporadic memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're interested in for your characters in coming months. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.'

We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in.

CHARACTER: Kylo Ren/

CURRENT STATUS: He's dealing with The Terribly Nosy Women In His Life expecting him to not be a murderous asshole. It's cruel and unusual and he feels very put upon. He's also likely to get dragged into shenanigans by Heather.

He's been having a minor existential crisis (no computers were harmed in this - yet) but once he's had a talk with Raine he'll be back to daily shifts at the Healer's Guild for artes training. He'll try to convince Valdis to involve him in the Cultist investigation (spoilers: not to stop them.) Has vague aspirations of training the Force sensitive kedan and foreigners. Wants to take apart and study Bisi's Warframe. And sometimes he has dates with Rey.

Lives in the Fire Sector, has been housing half a dozen kin'nal much to his exasperation.

CR GOALS: I love the CR I have, but I'm greedy and always want more! Would be great to meet more people in town, and deepen the ties with the friends and enemies he has.
He has quite a few people influencing him towards the Light Side, having someone pull towards the Dark could be fun.
His house of cards is crumbling, with more people seeing through the (semi-)pleasant facade so mid-term more of that could be fun.

SCENE-DOS: I love prose, but I'm usually faster with network replies, so there's that. I have a mad love for text conversations which nobody needs to feel obligated to indulge. Kylo is more likely to approach new people in person, he'll only respond to network messages if he seeks to gain something specific from it.

SCENE-DON'TS: Not looking for romance, he's got that one covered! Can't think of anything else.

ADDITIONAL:

So, let me get this straight: There will be no losing of that pesky virginity to Heather? Well, damn.

Alas, that's one way in which she won't succeed. But hey, there'll still be plenty of teasing opportunities! :)

He should come to her for training. She'll train him up right!

Sooo, Valdis and Kylo and the Cultists, right? And Kylo needs influencing towards the dark side?

I think we can work with that. Also, I might have a temporary solution to Valdis' problem that Kylo can help with. :P

Starting with the Cultists, how exactly would he try to convince Valdis to let him 'help'? She's hard to fool but I'll bet we could figure something out. She could pretend to believe him, or she could begrudgingly allow him to help for some reason. Maybe tries to manipulate him into getting information for her. That might toy with his dark side a bit.

Due to her issues with the Void, she might actually act more like who she used to be as it chips away at who she is, something I find very interesting and it could be fun to explore. This might apply to Kylo as well because they could inadvertently feed each other's darkness.

Also, if Kylo wants to 'Destroy' Valdis, I am totally down with that. In fact, she might purposefully push him to do that hoping for a 'reset', which could give her temporary relief from the Void, except it doesn't and that could also be fun. Plus, Kylo would get to see more of her power, namely the resurrection portion.

And I'm going to stop now, because wow I have a lot of ideas. :P

*rubs hands* Okay, let's see... So many wonderful ideas!

Ooooh, very interested in how he could help with her Void problem! I mean, he would certainly be very eager to help - wouldn't want to miss the chance that she owes him a favor!

I'd love to see Valdis acting darker, that could be very fun to watch and yes, I can certainly see them fueling another's darkness. Letting him help with the investigation to get information from him sounds good - maybe she also wants to keep him from investigating on his own? Better to keep him on a tight leash.

"Destroying" her oh my xD That could be so interesting, especially if she's pushing. It would take a lot of pushing since he's been so careful not to slip up, but Valdis would be a prime candidate for making him finally slip.

Valdis wouldn't outright ask him to help, but she would definitely push him over the edge if she can. A 'reset' is when Valdis dies, but the death purges impurities and, in theory, causes the Void to back off for a certain amount of time. I'd kind of love for Kylo to learn to learn that Valdis can resurrect herself and that she can shift into a giant hound. Though he's probably heard about the latter, very few people remain who know about her ability to revive herself.

But yeah, she'd totally use Kylo in that manner, feeding him bits of information in exchange for what he has and letting him help, mostly solo of course, she doesn't want his temper to reflect poorly on the rest of her forces.

She could probably excuse pushing him to reveal his powers as a test to see if he really was strong enough to 'join her.' I'm kind of planning a thing where she drifts closer to the darkness because it eases the pain from the Void.

*rofl* Probably wise, you really don't want him and his lovely temper associated with the police force

Yes, that would be a good way to push him to reveal his powers. And then he lashes out and she gets her reset..

Oh my, two deaths at his hands, the excuses would start to wear thin (and Raine is gonna kick his ass so much for controlling your temper)

Yay! Ok, how do we want to set this up? Valdis wouldn't want to make a scene, so she might contact Kylo privately and set up a meeting in a more obscure place. She doesn't want people to know what she is doing anyhow. (Don't worry, she won't tell Raine and what the Healer doesn't know, won't hurt anyone :P )

Yes, setting it up like that sounds good, though if it would help I could also have him contact her. he's gonna come crawling out of his little crisis mode and so contacting Valdis about cultist things would be a logical next step.
