I predict a riot...

Hey, Keelial... So, things have been getting a bit quiet recently, so...

Who wants a riot?

Yes, that's right. This Saturday, there's going to be a riot in the Courtyard of Public Opinion, spilling out into surrounding areas. People on-scene will notice several loud noises, followed by a cloud of dust spreading to cover the whole courtyard.

In the confusion, anyone who has inhaled the weird black dust will start feeling very strange... Their tempers will rise, people will start arguments at the drop of a hat, then start physically shoving, punching, kicking, which will, ultimately, evolve into a full-blown riot after about an hour. The longer they stay in the cloud, which will dissipate after 15-20 minutes, the more violent and agressive they'll be.

This affect will also affect Foreigners in the Courtyard at the time.

If anyone's thinking "Leon, this sounds familiar..." You'll be right! The black powder is actually the drug Dust weaponised into bomb form. This means the Foreigners and Kedan affected will essentially have no real control over their actions, as their negative emotions are directly affected by the Dust.

Ideally, I'm looking for members of the Police Force to get stuck in, try to calm people down and get the injured off to the Healer's Guild. Also, anyone who knows any kind of first aid, magical or mundane, would probably be a big help to the Guild during this.

Shay Cormac is going to be one of the first on-scene and call it in for the cops. He's going to recommend people come with gas masks or similar, or avoid the Dust clouds.

Please feel free to use this post to plot and ask questions. Alternatively, feel free to PM this, or any, of my character journals.

Not a member of the police force, but I can volunteer a superhero for any calming down the crowd and hospital ferrying that needs to be done. Also a tiny detective that knows advanced first aid. Though whether anyone would be willing to let a seven year old treat them....

Chat is a member of the police force AND knows mundane first aid so he'll for sure be around to help out in the courtyard as best he can.

The Police Chief has Arrived!

Valdis will respond with some of her kedanese forces in tow after the riot starts. In addition, she will probably be coordinating her forces through her hound telepathy ability-thing. This would extend to her Foreigner police members as well, as well as any foreigners that respond if they have interacted.

I believe that the Metalworkers donated some of their stun-weapons to the police force as well as a few of the personal shields, but I will check on that asap.

Fletch will be controlling triage at the Healer's Guild. To save on healer's magic, anyone who's not critically injured will be dealt with mundanely. Stitches, slings and splints, guys and gals, and I don't want no complaining that you're getting your hands dirty.

Peter is probably going to get caught in the middle of it and be affected by the Dust. So, I'm gonna need someone to help subdue him, because he's a powerhouse when he needs to be.

Shay as mentioned above, is going to be the first on scene, so will probably be getting into the thick of it. He has a gas mask as par his standard equipment that filters out smoke and fumes, so he should be fine.

Kylo will for once not be causing trouble, but (grudgingly, unhappily) help with the fallout at the Healer's Guild. Only trouble will find him, when Heather and he end up exposed to Dust patients are bringing in...

Brigid and Heather

Brigid: Is not going to be in the thick of things, but will be exposed enough that she's growly and annoyed easily and snapping at people. Her eyes will glow and she'll have claws. Who wants to meet the werewolf?

Heather: Heather and Kylo Ren are getting into a sword fight! Their usual banter takes on an edge, and then with the Dust, it goes over and Heather pulls on Kylo and then FIGHT FIGHT!

Heather is going to be "dying" - as much as an Immortal can - and need helped home from the morgue. Who wants to do that?

Simon will, of course, be assisting with the first aid. He's a trauma surgeon, so this is definitely his territory, but he'll be going along with Fletch's policy of "mundane methods before magical".

Steve is a member of the police force and will be all about calming people down, kedan or Foreigner, and getting them to the healers!

Pepper will absolutely be involved with calming/arresting people and getting them to the Healer's Guild if need be. She's got her armor so it ought to filter out the Dust, plus possibly get to use shadow magic for crowd control.

Klaus and Yorda

[personal profile] purered 2016-08-19 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Klaus isn't on the police force but he will be happy to help with securing and restraining anyone possibly going on a rampage and making sure they aren't a danger unto themselves or others until the effects wear off.

Yorda will offer up light healing since she can only manage minor injuries.
