hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the bi-monthly edition of the CR Meme! It's been a busy six months since the Foreigners have returned to Keeliai, and even in that span of time, plenty of things have changed! Here's a good place For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for your characters. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in. I do want to, yes!! How to do it is the question . . . I think the easiest thing would be some kind of activity, task, or mutual interest bringing them together so that it's both unexpected and a reason to keep staying.

What is Raine interested in, and what are you thinking she might be doing over the next couple of weeks?

Raine is interested in a whole lot of things. Ruins/archaeology, comparative culture and magic studies, metaphysical theory. Healing techniques. SCIENCE.

She's going to mostly be focusing on making sure nobody gets themselves killed over the next coupla weeks tbh, but I can usually handwave her out and about in one way or another.

Hm. Raine may be able to help with some plotty things. I have family here, so I'm moving slowly on pulling stuff together, but I'll be more open with that soon!

Beyond that, well, we've got a lot of comparative culture between the two of them. Metaphysics and magic as well. I feel like they would be able to connect over things -- just yeah. Matter of keeping Lapis still.

I suspect Lapis is living out next to the ocean somewhere . . . would Raine ever have reason to stumble across her hiding hole? She's still fearful and wary, but at this point, having resolved that there's little probability of Jasper present and having watched and interacted with the Foreigners a little more, she's calmer.

As far as the "ambassadors" coming, Lapis will be watching the conflict carefully . . . though from as much safe distance as she can. I don't imagine she'll interfere unless it becomes necessary in one way or another, but. She'll definitely want to know what's going on.

Raine will not be going anywhere near the ocean, unfortunately. She doesn't like it on the best of days-- childhood water trauma.

If we can get them to talk over metaphysics and magic we'll probably have a good connection. And Raine's already curious, I think I checked with you and Lapis feels like water mana in a big, big way, the way most mortal mages don't/really can't at all.
