Hello everyone! I'm Green Rivers, bringing in this big lug. He's Klaus Von Reinherz from the Kekkai Sensen manga.
He's technically a vampire hunter, though that's less and less these days and he more or less helps deal with whatever oddities crop up in Jerusalem's Lot (New York only with aliens and monsters and magic). In his off time, he's a giant sap who loves chess and its Beyondian variant called prosfair. He also enjoys gardening and being surrounded by old people.
I look forward to playing with everyone!

“No!” Saracen said. “Well, not at the same time …”
“I will never look at you in the same way again.”"
Oh my god poor Anton's hopes and dreams are shattered! This is a thing of beauty
no subject
Though he immediately then goes 'pshaw' so I'm convinced Anton knew all along and was playing it up to troll them all. But that right there: basic Dead Men dynamics.
I am looking forward to Anton and Klaus meeting in person tho because I have Anton at 6'6 but thin, so Klaus would make him look like a tiny stick and that is way more amusing than it should be.
Especially because he's sick right now so his friends having someone who can sit on him to make sure he doesn't go anywhere would be appreciated, I'm sure.

Kind-f-DysfunctionalFamily dynamics are my bread and butter.Klaus is a happy mother hen and will be glad to keep the sick from getting sicker (just god help Anton if Klaus is permitted to cook anything more complicated than salad).
no subject
... Oh God now I want Anton to be making frowny faces at his half blown-up kitchen just all '=| who am I punching today.' His kitchen is his precious space.
Also, Raine Sage is also of the 'never let her in the kitchen' type and I should not want her and Klaus to try and experiment with foodstuffs together (but I do).

Klaus isn't too terrible when it comes to cooking. He's smart enough not to start a fire. He's just got some odd tastes in food and has never been without his butler before so there's going to be... teething troubles.
You will get to witness a grown-ass man try to figure out the finer points of boiling an egg.Oh god, that sounds like a beautiful combination and I'll have to keep an eye out for Raine so they can give poor Anton a headache.

I want this. But otherwise Anton has literally been all over and can make p much anything, and is really willing to cater to tastes (one of his patrons is an alien who is partially to rotting cabbage, go figure).Even better: Solomon is dating Raine and can always be pressed into being a taste-tester
if they tie him down.no subject
exCELLENT.Anton sounds like a pretty cool dude all around. Klaus will just be like 'What is this kitchen sorcer, you and Gilbert must be wizards.'Kidnapping a taste-tester you say!no subject
In which 'magic' is a perfectly legitimate
lieexcuse. :3I do say.no subject
"How do you get it to not congeal into a solid lump what is this devilry"
Eh huehuehue this is going to be greatno subject
EheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheYes this will be amazeballs and I am looking forward to it. /steeples fingers/

i was summonedto be fair to Raine, if she could keep SCIENCE under control, she might turn out... okay in the kitchen? She cannot. the temptation is always there. inappropriate experimentation happens. Clearly they'll need to meet. :P
...Hi, I'm Makari, I play the aforementioned kitchen menace and also China Sorrows, who's from SP as well. She's part information broker, part tattoo artist, all morally ambiguous.
no subject
Hi Makari, I'm Rivers and I have my hands full with this nerd. Sadly I'm kind of canon blind to Raine (I have played other Tales games, just not Sorrows yet. Yet.
Also hell yes information broker *w* Once Klaus gets settled and back into his old habits, he'll probably become a frequent customer.no subject
Do it in his kitchen.no subject
This is happening in his kitchen. Awkward attempts at gaining basic culinary skills commence!no subject
He's going to be as weirded out by the thought of thinking of it as 'his' kitchen as whatever nuclear smoke cloud the pair of them cook up.no subject
Maybe by some miracle they'll figure out cold fusion while trying to bake a cake.no subject
On second thought, Sol might just take out insurance.no subject
Solomon only gets a say if he can catch them at itHi, Rivers, nice t'meetcha. I'm completely canon-blind, I'm afraid, though your brief description has me curious. and ooh, which Tales games have you played? :O

Klaus is nearly 30, he needs to learn to cook his own tower of liver like the grown ass man he is.Ahhh Kekkai Sensen is basically an action/dramedy series. The manga doesn't have much of an overarching plot beyond PoV character Leo joins a secret society of misfits, and the loosely connected arcs that follow the daily adventures of Libra's various members in Paranormal!New York. The anime attempts to have an overarching plot which sticks pretty close to following Leo. It can be kind of hit-or-miss, since a lot of the Libra gang don't get as fleshed out, but the animation and music are A+, and it's pretty reminiscent of series like Baccano and Cowboy Bebop.
As for Tales games, I am woefully behind. All I've got are Abyss and Vesperia (I am the weakest link ;A;) but I loved them both and want to check out more of the series *w*

Kekkai Sensen sounds like worth checking out, at least! /adds it to the list/ and Bebop's a wonderful thing to compare it to. Baccano's... also on the list. It's a long list. >.>; but good music and art goes a long way for an anime, I think.
Abyss and Vesperia were both really solid entries in the series, though. High points. If you were only gonna play a few, those two should definitely be among them. And we have a Yuri and a Duke running around, if you hadn't spotted them on the taken list already. That's going about as well as you might imagine.
Symphonia was rereleased for the ps3 last year, and they're planning to actually put it out on Steam sometime in 2016. O_O I don't know why, but it gives me more excuse to foist my favorite game on people. More generally speaking, I can't recommend the series enough, and probably anything you pick up in future will be excellent.

It is definitely worth a watch (or a read if you can nab the manga. Darkhorse is translating it, and it's by the same guy who wrote and illustrated Trigun).
I saw! And I imagine that things are going perfectly fine and everything is just peaches and cream! No trouble at all ever why would there ever be!~
Oh my gosh, if Symphonia is going on Steam, I have absolutely no reason not to nab it. And I'll check out Sorrows when I can too. (This is part of why I missed multifandom games, I love seeing new series =w=)
no subject
Ohhhh, that guy? I liked Trigun. I didn't know he'd done more. :O
Granted they don't have the release date set within 2016, so it could be five months or seventeen, but. the possibility exists.
Apart from some ventures into Pokemon forums when I was younger, I've only ever been in multifandom RPs-- the sheer variety is the best thing. So many people to interact with and the surprises in CR. /whistles/ Most of Raine's strongest CR was a complete surprise and I'm continually surprised and delighted by this entire community.
...also let's just pretend I noticed you'd put up your network post sooner, yes? :P

He has! I wasn't super impressed with Gungrave, but KS is pushing all my buttons. Ragtag colourful misfits? Check. A PoV character who isn't either bland as chalk or a deplorable, loathsome piece of shit? Check. Team Family!dynamics? Check.
Bara tiddy? Check! (I'm going to hell)KS also isn't as dark as Trigun. It has its moments but there's nothing quite like Legato or Knives in there.OhgodLegatoOhsweetmercifulchristLegato.Who even knows? Either way, I'll be checking it out. Of the two games I played, I really love how the party dynamics were, and the characters were really interesting
and it's not like I needed my heart, thanks Tales games FOR RIPPING THAT OUT OF MY CHEST.It really is! I love tagging characters I'm completely canon-blind to. It's probably the most enjoyable way to get to know new series because the players are usually super enthusiastic about them and it's such a great thing to see.
Psh, I got backtag for days!no subject
ragtag colorful misfits becoming family? Be still my heart. Hello.
Tales games are generally really good for character I find. I'm especially partial to the skits-- you get a level of interaction that you don't get otherwise, I think, especially for just... mundane stuff. Everything from the moral issues of murder to oh god don't let her cook again. Character dynamics everywhere.
but uh yeah watch out for the trauma conga lineI've nosed into a fair number of series because of this game, honestly. I regret nothing.
no subject
Ahhhh I loved the skits! I get so happy when games use little moments like those to flesh out the characters. It also helps break any monotony which tends to be inevitable in a 60+ hour game.
My body is so ready. READY TO CRY.this is the best thing to hear. I love checking out new things
