Hello everyone! I'm Green Rivers, bringing in this big lug. He's Klaus Von Reinherz from the Kekkai Sensen manga.

He's technically a vampire hunter, though that's less and less these days and he more or less helps deal with whatever oddities crop up in Jerusalem's Lot (New York only with aliens and monsters and magic). In his off time, he's a giant sap who loves chess and its Beyondian variant called prosfair. He also enjoys gardening and being surrounded by old people.

I look forward to playing with everyone!

Granted they don't have the release date set within 2016, so it could be five months or seventeen, but. the possibility exists.

Apart from some ventures into Pokemon forums when I was younger, I've only ever been in multifandom RPs-- the sheer variety is the best thing. So many people to interact with and the surprises in CR. /whistles/ Most of Raine's strongest CR was a complete surprise and I'm continually surprised and delighted by this entire community.

This is the best reason to make friends with tall people. You never need to get a step-ladder.

He has! I wasn't super impressed with Gungrave, but KS is pushing all my buttons. Ragtag colourful misfits? Check. A PoV character who isn't either bland as chalk or a deplorable, loathsome piece of shit? Check. Team Family!dynamics? Check. Bara tiddy? Check! (I'm going to hell) KS also isn't as dark as Trigun. It has its moments but there's nothing quite like Legato or Knives in there.OhgodLegatoOhsweetmercifulchristLegato.

Who even knows? Either way, I'll be checking it out. Of the two games I played, I really love how the party dynamics were, and the characters were really interesting and it's not like I needed my heart, thanks Tales games FOR RIPPING THAT OUT OF MY CHEST.

It really is! I love tagging characters I'm completely canon-blind to. It's probably the most enjoyable way to get to know new series because the players are usually super enthusiastic about them and it's such a great thing to see.

Tales games are generally really good for character I find. I'm especially partial to the skits-- you get a level of interaction that you don't get otherwise, I think, especially for just... mundane stuff. Everything from the moral issues of murder to oh god don't let her cook again. Character dynamics everywhere.

I've nosed into a fair number of series because of this game, honestly. I regret nothing.

Ahhhh I loved the skits! I get so happy when games use little moments like those to flesh out the characters. It also helps break any monotony which tends to be inevitable in a 60+ hour game.

The skits are the best holy crap. When I realized later games had fully voiced skits even in English I nearly bounced out of my chair I was so happy.

I mean, sometimes they're just ridiculous and I do take them with a grain of salt just because of the Tales tendency to slapstick humor -- my one real grumblance -- but yes, skits.

I think the slapstick thing is pretty common throughout anime/jrpgs so I tend to just brush it off it's on the unfunny side of things (wheeeee cultural dissonance)
