HELLO CHELONAUTS! It's been a while since we've had a game-wide HMD post, so here's the first one of our new arc!

How's My Driving?
While each and every character must have an HMD page available, we offer a game-wide HMD once every calendar quarter. This is an opportunity to get together and discuss IC interpretations and portrayals in a respectful, beneficial fashion. In a nutshell, it's a chance to see how we're doing in the grand scheme of things.

There are a few ground rules to cover off before we can start:

• Participation in the quarterly HMD is 100% optional.
  
• Be respectful, anon or not. It's a lot easier to give and receive crit if all parties are making it a discussion of it rather than an argument.
  
• IP logging is off and anonymous commenting is on. You can offer crit signed in if you like, but the option's there.
  
• We ask that each concrit provided consist of one positive and one constructive bit of feedback. Bring up something that you like about that player, and in the same comment provide something that you feel they could work on. This is to help round out the feedback and provide a better experience all around.

It's been a really, really long time since I played Advance Wars, but seeing your app for Sonja still made me squee. Childhood nostalgia, I guess? Anyway, I think you're doing a really good job with her, and you're definitely drawing out every single aspect of her personality from the more innocent to the... less innocent. :P And I love how involved she gets with each new plot or puzzle!

I also want to say specifically that barring a couple of hiccups I'm pretty sure I don't know the full story of anyway, you've been doing a fantastic job at listening to both IC and OOC feedback so far (especially where RPing on Dreamwidth is concerned.) Thank you!

No one gets everything right on the first try, and we don't expect any of our players to. The trick is to learn from mistakes and keep going, not to consistently make the same mistake despite advice and warnings. The latter is all too common in RP, alas. :c You're doing well so far!

I'm enjoying Sonja so far. I don't know anything about Advance Wars in depth other than having seen a few Orange Star folks in an RP once, but I think your Sonja is a believable character and has some unique quirks going on. I think you've set up a good plot for yourself, so I'm optimistic for her future at Tu Shan!

Definitely good luck batting for the Snakes and spying on the foreigners. ;) And not tipping off Sokka.

Genis and Sonja should meet at some point too.

Otherwise, fantastic job. :) Let's have more positive Sokka/Sonja CR soon!
