Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.
How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
→ Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles. → Tag around with everyone! → Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle! → Maybe even RESERVE so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
- Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell!
- Dramatic Chase Sequence!
You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
- Where There's A Will, There's A...?
The Life and Dreaming Planes have been merged, and sometimes what start out as wishful thinking becomes lured into reality. That slick new motorcycle or pile of kingly treasure you were just daydreaming about? Surprise! Though it may only stay for a short while before it disppears again, so make it count. Hopefully you're not the type to daydream about terrible things befalling people you don't like...
- SECRET UNDERCOVER MODE ACTIVATE!
The three major kedan families all have their own agendas, and you've chosen to entangle yourselves with one (or more!) of them. Are you hoping to shift the balance of power? Gain some favours? Perhaps you're on a mission to bring a criminal to justice, or maybe you just want to get the cream of the crop from the black market.
- WILDCARD!
Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun'-esque experience. Please specify in your post!

Arcee | Transformers (WFC) | 4
[Arcee was parked in an unassuming back alley overlooking the gate to a closed-off warehouse. So she was in a perfect position to notice the big suspicious unmarked trailor truck pulling into an unmarked warehouse that they had previously identified as one of Zanru's.]
[Arcee started broadcasting on the encrypted narrow radio band that the other people on the sting had agree on.]
I think I got something, copy.

Joanna Dark | Perfect Dark
Granted, this is a crowd unlike any she's ever been in before, but it's not so different from Tokyo or Hong Kong or a thousand other places she'd trailed her father to, or Carrington. Just the people are different, and a little weird, and some of them might be blue.
But aside from that? She's doing a damn good job at pretending she's not a Foreigner, and nobody of any real note.]

Watch where you're going! People are walkin', here!
[Yeah. He's a bug. A bug-sized person with a glow.]

Seems like you're running a risk, walking on the ground, [she says.] Or you're just looking to get angry at someone when they nearly step on you.

Stork | Storm Hawks | 5ish
[ Have one very green, very not human new arrival, who's decided that the best way to acclimate himself to this strange city is to build something. So he's creeping around the Metalworker's properties, literally going through their trash and fishing out all sorts of discarded odds and bobs. It isn't clear from the scrap he's gathered what he's trying to build just yet, but he's obviously stopped to assemble a few little gadgets along the way. A couple of them are clicking away merrily on sprockets on the ground, while presently Stork has his head inside a scrap bin, three-toed feet lifted slightly to reach something near the bottom. ]
Oh, this looks promising...
---
WATER SECTOR
[ Stork has a small crowd of people gathered around him, but he's barring the way to one of the Water Sector canals with both arms. He's also pretty loud, and his antics are drawing more people to come and stare at the obviously addled Foreigner. ]
Stay back! The water in the canals is contaminated with Tunurian fire fungus! One swallow and you'll start growing hairy pustules on your insides! If you get anywhere near open flame, you'll explode!
[ There are some jeers from the kedan, because that's the most ludicrous thing they've ever heard (and they've heard some good ones), and some of them are tired of having their path blocked and shove the Merb to the side. ]
H-Hey!
Metal Sector
That's what Vav would be thinking if he hadn't just ducked into the alleyway to evade some angry Snakes, because he'd accidentally slo-mo'd one of them and the rest of them weren't too keen on that.
He leans back against the wall, panting, until he hears the rustling and muttering and sees the weird mutant poking around in the trash.]
Gah!

Sterling Archer | Archer
[Archer is haggling with a kedan merchant, who doesn't seem to think very highly of the foreigner, and does not appear to be in any way inclined to sell him bottled booze.]
Look, I know you're like...kedan, or whatever, something weird, and I'm a human, but. Can you at least cut me a break on whatever the local equivalent to whiskey is? I'm this close to drinking WD-40.
[Beat.]
Wait. Shit. D'you guys even have WD-40?

Merrill | Dragon Age
What manner of ingredient is 'WD-40'? Perhaps we can find a local equivalent. I'm looking for something to pass for Elfroot myself. I suspect that I'll need to search the turtle outside of the city for any real success, however.

Mechanical lubricant, I'm that desperate, [he says, rolling his eyes.] What the hell is an Elfroot?

ERUKA FROGG | soul eater
Stop changing the price and hoping I won't notice, ribbit!
[ Eruka's just about had it with this shopkeeper, who keeps scaling the price up and down in increments of juulan. Unfortunately for him, Eruka is a master of Arithmetic Magic, and number in any system are as familiar to her as the sun in the sky.
except the Sun here has no face and that's freaking her out]TWO;
[ It wasn't her style to get in the way of anything that looked dangerous, and the chase happening in the marketplace was exactly the kind of trouble she wasn't looking to attract. Yet as her poor luck always seemed to, she uttered a panicked "gekko!" when the fleeing thief swerved in her direction. ]
Eeek, get away! Tadpole bomb!
[ And that sure is a magically conjured, highly explosive floating ball. ]
Isabela | Dragon Age
[A muscular, attractive dark-skinned woman takes Eruka by the arm and leads her away from the stall. She speaks loud enough for the Kedan and anyone nearby to overhear.]
Don't argue with crooked merchants, Tadpole, it only encourages them.
[Once a few feet away, Isabela produces the item she'd just been haggling over and puts it in Eruka's hands. She follows up with a flirtatious whisper.]
And never let someone keep from you what you desire.
no subject
Did you just--?
[ Then she breaks into a wide smile, the black dots at the corners of her mouth stretching out. ]
That was pretty smooth, ribbit.

one!
[Once he catches sight of the situation, he'll walk up, addressing the shopkeeper first.]
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Now I know you aren't trying to cheat the lovely lady here out of her money, right? [He gives the merchant a rather pointed glare before turning towards Eruka.]
And, my little tadpole cutie, what was it that you wanted to buy? [He's asking to help out since clearly the guy running this stand has no experience dealing with the fairer sex.]

Isabela | Dragon Age
Isabela vaulted to another roomtop and looked behind her. Two kedan had just cleared the previous rooftop. She looked ahead and two more snakes just made it onto the building roof in front of her. She looked below and a few more were gathering on the street. The other last side was an open ally with no obvious means of getting down.
Isabela twirled the obsidian Cong, an ancient Snake family relic she had just stolen from Tu Yuxnu's private chambers, around in her hand as she figured out what to do next.
"I guess they are pretty attached to this thing, aren't they?"
