Welcome to the first CR meme of 2015, and of the new game arc! For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for your characters. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.'

We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in.

CHARACTER: Jack Frost
CANON: Rise of the Guardians
PERSONALITY: It's pretty much all in his title: Spirit of Winter and Guardian of Fun. Jack's the second most tenured person on the turtle right now, after Zatanna, whom he's also dating. So he's matured a lot, having really lived integrated with people for the last few years.
CURRENT STATUS: He sent Baby Tooth home by way of Eva, but he chose to stay in Keeliai because of the people he knows here. Being immortal, there isn't any outward changes to him from their sleeping year. Jack's still feeling out where he stands with the kedan now, since he was on pretty good terms with them before everything went downhill. He's also going to be a strong advocate of making the Foreigner/Kedan dynamic work, so he's going to be critical of either side doing things that's going to widen that divide. He's in the process of rebuilding the Welcome Center so that the Foreigners have an additional focal point, a "public seat" in the city.
CR GOALS: I'm open to anything with Jack! He still likes looking out for the new arrivals, and he wants to do what he can to help people out.

CHARACTER: Yami no Bakura
CANON: Yuugiou: Duel Monsters
PERSONALITY: Cranky ancient thief, part time evil villain, full time ass.
CURRENT STATUS: Basically, he went back to his world intending to finish off the Memory RPG and, er, die. Instead, he lost the game (lol) and only mostly died, before being yanked back to Tu Vishan. As such, he can't communicate with his ghosts, he's missing his magic, and he basically hates EVERYTHING right now especially Solomon. That said, this isn't a permanent change for him (even I'm not that mean) so the next little while is him getting his head sorted out and trying to find some new goals that don't end in world destruction.
CR GOALS: I'm really open to anything. He's not quite as antagonistic right now, compared to how much he was before, and without his magic he wisely knows it's not smart to pick (as many) fights as before. That said, he's still more abrasive than the average person, so negative CR is always a possibility with him.

SCENE-DOS: Jack is open for anything, network, log, in person, etc. Bakura's a little more reclusive by choice, which means that I'm looking for scenarios to drop him in that force him to actually talk to people!
SCENE-DON'TS: Nothing immediately springs to mind, although I do better when there's a clear development of CR and not just... randomly talking about nothing at all.

I would love CR with both of your guys. Looks like we're doing okay throwing Bakura and Tony together, but I haven't managed to chase down Jack. I figure they may end up seeing more of each other when the gang negotiations really get going, but I hope their CR doesn't end up being totally negative ;~; I feel like they would really get along, if/when they're not disagreeing about how to interact with the kedan.

Totally agree about Jack and Tony meeting! They're both going to be public in their respective points of view, so it's reasonable they may actually seek one another out. Jack doesn't want the foreigners to get their rights trampled, but he definitely knows they're at the disadvantage right now.

I'm thinking we should at least hold off until after the public forum log, since they're both going to be in attendance, right? That should give them a preview of what the other is going for.

I'm too lazy to sign in with my usual trashkhan, so:

1. I think Gene and Bakura should have more awkward CR now. Would Bakura be open to it, especially since Gene has mellowed out a lot since the fight with Malicant?
2. Jack and Jackie should hang out again. Maybe try and draw him out of his life of crime?

OMG yes awkward CR. Bakura is looking for distraction right now, so he's going to be open to things he wouldn't have bothered with before. Any ideas where they might run into each other?

Jack and Jackie yessssss. Jack's pretty visible (lol pun) right now in trying to secure fair rights for the foreigners, so if Jackie has fallen in with gangs, their paths might cross. Or is Jackie in with the Snakes?

They could run into each other at the kirin stables again? Or in the hotel? It's probably hard for them to avoid each other, seeing as they both kinda live there.

Jackie's in with the Snakes, I decided. Like, why bother with a gang that isn't the one on top, you know?

Oooh, the kirin stables are a great idea, especially since Bakura will appreciate that they're quiet. Did you want me to add a starter or something to my catch all?

Jack's sole interaction with the Snakes so far was in the first part of this thread where he broke up a fight between some Snakes and some gangkedan. It's possible Jackie could have overheard about that from them?

Sokka certainly is involved with Operation GOSB, but at the same time, he's definitely not going to be being a complete jerk about it. (His jerkishness is definitely played more mano a mano really.) But I could definitely see Jack and Sokka talking about this at some point, going over differing viewpoints and such. But they will agree about being more proactive about making the foreigners look better, so that's a point of common ground they can sit on.
