And yet another mod-post.

Al here, with a little something for those who participated on the Dreamscape mission and learned the ability to 'detect' energies that didn't quite belong. If any of them tries to detect anything like that on the turtle itself? They will find that kind of strange, invading energy literally everywhere. Like a dark fog there is not a single place in the turtle where they will not feel it. It's also not stronger or weaker in strategic points, like it's just following the character anywhere they go.

This is a active ability, though, so the character will only feel it as long as they actively seek to feel it. There will be no consequences if they force themselves to it, just a growing sense of discomfort.

This is also the place to tell me if your character abandoned training at one point, so I can tell you the specific consequences.

I'm hellish slow, but Bucky's not abandoning the training (even originally, his Death plane expedition was planned for after the objects had been found).

But, question! How about people? Would such an energy be more concentrated on people? Would there be a difference between kedan and foreigners? The Endai? Would there be a difference when looking at other trainees and the rest of the foreigners?

They will feel the energy isn't coming from the people themselves, it's something more like as if they are being surrounded by it. The dark energy fog will be the same for everyone as long as they stay inside the turtle's barrier.

It also doesn't come from an object or place in particular.

And I realised I should probably ask this here instead of on plurk: the dark mist is from the death-plane, yes? Or has enough similarities in feeling that the similarities can be noticed and extrapolated from there, from those who have been to the death-plane before?

Kind of sort of. It's reminiscent of it, but even in the Death plane the energy from the same plane belonged in there. This energy feels different, more invasive. Not in an active way, more like the mist is clinging onto everything and everyone.

The characters will be able to differentiate between death realm energy and this mist.
