Storm System
Relative peace and quiet have descended upon the population of Keeliai and the conspiracies appear to be at an end for the time being. Life is returning to normal, crime is back to pre-festival rates, the whole nine yards. Fancy!

Except, there's a storm on the horizon -- quite literally. Starting October 1st, the kedan can be seen hurriedly securing loose fixtures, removing decorations, and boarding up some of the largest windows throughout the sectors. Should they be asked about these activities, they will advise that a storm system's been spotted on the horizon and it appears that Tu Vishan is on a direct course for it. They will not seem particularly worried, for they are long-used to living on a seabound turtle and have seen many storms in their time.

The storm itself will 'hit' starting October 2nd and concluding October 3rd, as Tu Vishan will be moving straight in and through it. There will be a brief two-hour lull in the eye of the storm mid-way through the event, but otherwise the city will be subject to Category 3 hurricane conditions.

Foreigners will be warned by runners dispatched to the suites early into the storm on the October 2nd -- before it really picks up -- and the suggestion will be made that they stay inside. Given that each runner will be accompanied by increasing wind, rain, and (quite strangely) the occasional stretches of snow, it'll be clear that this isn't some shit-and-giggles prank on the happen.

While a Cat 3 storm can be devastating, this isn't Keeliai's first rodeo. The buildings are expected to make it through the storm relatively intact and consoles/suites will only have intermittent blackouts, lasting approximately an hour each time before the kedan have things up and running again. This is because majority of the limited power run to the suites is through protected cables built into boxes along and between buildings, enclosed by wood, stone, or metal casing.

Businesses will be closed for the most part, though the console cafés will remain open and most kedan will welcome Foreigners caught out in the storm into their homes (though they have no consoles out there).

By October 4th, the storm itself will be behind Tu Vishan and the kedan will be quick to put things back to right. Clean-ups of leaves and branches, particularly in Wood, will be a priority and any Foreigner assisting with it will be paid the standard hourly rate as they would in any job.

Any questions or comments? Feel free to direct them to the comments of this post and one of the mods will answer as soon as possible. Feel free to plot amidst yourselves if there's anything you'd like to do (ghost stories during a power outage? TOTALLY NECESSARY).

Event Calendar
The planned events calendar for the game has been updated to include December 2012 and some slight adjustments in event timing. You can check it out here.

Just a reminder that if you'd like to run a plot here at Tu Shanshu, hop over to our events page to find out how! We very much want and love to have player involvement in what's going on here.

Additionally! We are still welcoming input at our Let's Talk Plot post from Saturday.

This, or you could have a red panda. Except, he would probably get blown away in the wind. PROBLEMATIC. Also, he's a terrible party killer.

...The inevitable teenagers would need a minder to keep them from the booze.
