CR With Me | May 2014

Hello, chelonauts! Time to kickstart some new plots and schemes for our characters leading into our summer season.

When it comes to our CR meme, we do ask that you be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should team up to moon Evandau' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.' We're still using the modified form, including the two sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill!

CR With Me Form:

KATHRINE

CHARACTER: Galatea
CANON: DCAU: Justice League Unlimited
PERSONALITY: Egocentric, pushy, demanding, a little too flirtatious for everyone else's good, aggressive and violent with less provocation than most, and yet somehow really not as terrible as she likes to act. Have to keep up that evil clone reputation, right? If something comes along that offers more entertainment, she is not above causing trouble. She does want she wants and fuck everyone else.
CURRENT STATUS: Avoiding Superman still. Hanging out with Kaine and actually helping with repairs around the city (boredom can be a powerful motivator). She's also been investigating things a bit on her own, but not coming up with much.
CR GOALS: Rebuilding CR from the ground up so I'm pretty much open to anything when it comes to her. She's actually being nicer than normal lately, so all CR with her doesn't have to jump to being negative, although she is still Tea and can be a total brat. If you want someone to annoy your character, she's good for that, too, but she also likes people who know how to throw out some witty banter. I'm planning to get her more involved with game happenings in the next month.
SCENE-DOS: There is very little Tea I won't go with as long as I know about it beforehand, really. Hit me up and we can talk! And I like threads that have a goal. I can totally do the getting to know you small talk if you want that, too, but I like having a potential direction/endgame in mind.
SCENE-DON'TS: No random threadjacking. I'm really not okay with people jumping into threads I have going without my knowing.

CHARACTER: Kaldur'ahm/Aqualad
CANON: Young Justice
PERSONALITY: Teenage Atlantean superhero who obsesses over being perfect because he has to be the leader, the good guy, and the dependable one at all times. But he's also a little socially awkward, kind of blunt but polite about it, and completely lacks the understanding of "subtlety." Like really, don't ask him to be sneaky about something unless it's on a mission. He will fail. He's also got a sarcastic sense of humor that rarely gets to come out.
CURRENT STATUS: Training to become stronger in his sorcery abilities, helping rebuild the damaged areas after the bombing, and now currently the inheritor of two fish and a bunch of other stuff because Aquaman and Mera are gone. So yeah, he's kind of sad and lonely.
CR GOALS: Sparring partners, people who will push him to step out of his comfort zone, people he can commiserate with over being a leader without a team, people who like being rescued as always good since he's big on that, negative CR could be interesting, too. I'm just planning to throw him out there and see what kind of CR builds because I'm up for anything at the moment and he's kind of vulnerable and could use the distractions.
SCENE-DOS: Same as with Tea. I'm up for pretty much anything, although if it's something you think might be questionable, just ask and we can totally discuss it.
SCENE-DON'TS: Same as with Tea again, although even more so with Kaldur. He is someone who has a direction/purpose in almost every action so threads with him need more of a goal. He's terrible at small talk most of the time, although that can bring its own amusing kind of awkward fun to a thread if that's what you're looking for.

So Septimus is going to be rather public about "Guys, time to organize" and making open efforts in trying to connect the various disjoint groups (though not being public when taking direct action against Malicant). This will include training people--not as much in personal fighting skill, which other people are doing, but in working together in units, both making regular ones and 'this is how you deal with a change in the line-up.'

I rather expect this will appeal to Kaldur'ahm.

Also, he's an imperial prince. He was under a lot of those pressures to be perfect--just as it turned out his ideas of that were rather different from his father's. I expect that could mesh well with Kaldur, maybe help him learn what being himself and living up to it can mean?

(Plus Kaldur's sense of humor will appeal to Septimus enormously.)

Kaldur will definitely be down for strategizing and organizing. He much prefers having something to focus on than sitting around doing nothing. He's also good at knowing which skills a person has will go well with someone else's skills, so that could help

As for the other aspect, Kaldur can be really formal and polite when it comes to royalty (it's just good manners and respect where he's from), but if Septimus doesn't stand on formality, Kaldur will follow his lead.

Heh, well, Septimus may just recognize the signs in Kaldur of the kind of pressures he's been under, and may just unconsciously be having slight mannerisms of royalty, as he hasn't actually, uh, told his family name to more than two PCs and two NPCs and never in public, and only told the two PCs about being royalty.

So probably it would be an unconscious play of personalities and mannerisms? But that's interesting in and of itself, see how much of the unconscious bits interact.

Oh yeah that kind of subconscious go around is always interesting, especially when the characters are still feeling each other out.
