But anyway, hello! This is Angus here to talk about an event coming up in a few weeks! The gist of it is? Liz is going to have a pyrokinetic episode, and things are going to get burned. Lots of things.

This will all be happening on October 13th - 14th, so it's still a while away. I just figure making a post about it now might be better, since that way it leaves plenty of time to plot things and sort out any issues that may pop up. With that being said, onto the details and what's going to happen!

So all of this is going to start out with Liz having a nightmare, which will cause her to lose control of her powers and... basically start a giant fire that'll burn a good chunk of the Earth Sector, and will have potential to spread into the Fire and Metal Sectors if it's not quickly extinguished. (However, with all the people in-game who can get stuff done with water/rain/ice/etc., I imagine it could be taken care of before that happens.)

Several buildings will end up burning down, many kedan will be injured, and about 5 or 6 will be killed. As far as the foreigners go, I'll be leaving a comment below so that way anybody who wants their characters to get injured (or worse) can let me know.

Beyond that, there will be about three big parts that require a good chunk of PC participation. The first is getting people to safety, and the second is putting out the fire to prevent it from spreading. Then there's the issue of finding Liz and getting her under control so that way the fires can stop at the source.

Since all this will happen when Liz is sleeping, she'll be in her suite in EA-1A. For the other people in the building, if you don't want those characters killed (since the initial blast would be pretty big), it may be wise to plot out an IC reason for them not to be in the building at the time. If there are any issues with this, let me know and we can try to figure things out together. I realize this could be troublesome, so if there's a way I can make this better for anyone, I'll try my best to make it work.

With that being said, this will end with several buildings burned to the ground or in need of repair, which could leave some characters temporarily homeless and in need of a place to stay while structures are either rebuilt or repaired. (I don't want to step on any toes by saying ALL THESE BUILDINGS WILL BE DESTROYED AND X WILL BE LEFT HOMELESS NO CHOICE NO CHOICE HARGBHGLAAAAAGHUHGH, so I'm not going to say for certain that all PC buildings will be destroyed, but some kedan buildings probably will be.)

Not entirely sure where to put this, but I figured here would work.

Steph lives in the same building as Liz, but I'd prefer not to have her possessions lost in the fire, which pretty much means I need an IC reason for them not to be there. I've got a couple ideas that might work, but if anyone has suggestions feel free to throw them my way? I could always use more thoughts.

Bruce could technically ask her to move because Steve knows where she lives/her identity. He might want her to relocate somewhere else, even temporarily, so that things can be worked out on the Captain America front.

... If you don't think she'd listen to Bruce, she could always just move in with Brandon. He's got three floors in Fire. \o/

Soooooo Yelena was actually kinda experimented with/on in a variety of ways, one of the notable ones was with fire/threat of being burned and it was pretty fucking traumatic.

Considering I have her all over the place I could easily come up with a reason for her to be in Earth when stuff goes down so she can get caught in the middle of burning buildings or something.

Dooooes anyone want to find her in the middle of that or deal with the aftermath of a freak-out? Was thinking this might be a good opportunity for some new CR or something :|a

Not sure if Cloud would be a good offer or not--on the one hand he'd definitely help her if he saw her in the thick of things, but on the other hand he has his own bad experiences with fire and will probably start unraveling himself once the danger's passed. Helpful for not dying, not so much for freak-out aftermaths. (Which could be interesting itself, buuuuut.)

Peggy's in the same building too, and though it's not hard to get her out for the night (she goes back and forth between her own suite and Steve's already), she has a small number of possessions I'd like to figure out how to keep. Her clothes from Favrielle!! Her papers and books!! She could lend them out or have them with her wherever she is, maybe? idk idk :|a

Right, so, fire is basically Nita's kryptonite. Her Incredibly Stupid Comic Book Weakness is that all her powers are dependent on staying hydrated, and she will pass out and die if she loses too much water in whatever ill-defined way comic book writers think biology works. The upshot is that villains spend a lot of time rigging up heat-lamp setups to hold Namor.

Anyway, Nita knows this and won't charge into a fire unless there's no other choice. I'm not sure where I'm going with this beyond needing an excuse for her to ignore common sense. It's Nita, so one shouldn't be that hard to come by.

Seriously, I don't know where this belongs, so here it goes.

If the fire did spread to Fire sector there might be a little problem with the buildings that are storing Jay's explosives materials (and by Jay's i mean, it's things he's planning to monopolize/trading for).

Not that he's out there at night or anything at all, right.

So, he's going to be checking out those buildings first. I don't know what to do with this information other than throw it up here.

If anyone in the Fire sector at the time want him to be like "GET OFF MY LAWN", this is cool with me and you should call me. maybe.
