Turtle parents READ THIS PLEASE

So hey guys, Miles has his first (of many) scheme being set up! He assumes that Malicant is going to go after the baby turtles at some point, and he wants to be ready. idk if this will actually accomplish anything meta plot wise yet. I wanted to get all my IC ducks in a row before approaching the mods, which includes YOU. Yes, you. Well, you if your character is a turtle parent.

Please confer with your co-parents and let me know if Miles can install surveillance devices on the baby turtles without telling them. It's totally okay if the answer is no. I can come up with a whole host of reasons why this would fail, for a specific turtle or just in general, and I'm also game with someone finding one of them and raising the alarm or trying to figure out who it was, etc. etc.

Not sure what said surveillance devices are going to be yet precisely in structure-- that is in the works.

Basically just let me know how this would work out for you and your turtle. ETA: Keep in mind he won't be asking anyone or letting them know, this is strictly an OOC permissions question!

Ahahaha Damian's suite would be impossible to install surveillance in, mostly because sweeps for some regularly. Like several times a day.

BUT if he brought it up, Damian might collaborate. If not in surveillance at least with more direct information.

Sep and Rapunzel muns are free to offer their own opinions on the matter, of course, but for Midii...anything remotely related to "surveillance equipment", even if permission is asked, would earn a big, fat NOPE from her.

If Miles wants to check in on them every so often in person, that would be one thing. However, despite how much she's calmed down since arriving in Keelai, Midii is still far too paranoid from life in her own world to willingly let anybody put a surveillance camera on her or anyone around her. Not because she doesn't trust Miles (although she doesn't really know him, so that would also be an issue), but because those suckers can always be hacked and used against her in other ways. Please ignore the irony of this statement, considering who a lot of her close acquaintances are.

I'm not saying she's adept at finding them, but if she DID, it could potentially trigger her into an anxiety or all-out panic attack.

I think I probably didn't make this clear enough in the initial post, but he wouldn't actually be asking or telling anyone that he's doing it. XD;

It's totally up to you if you'd rather not deal with it, or if you do want to have her find one and have the resulting anxiety attack, if that's something you'd want to play out.

My apologies. You're right; I totally interpreted that as meaning that MIles would actually be asking Turtle parents.

Midii would NOPE out, but personally, I could go either way. I'm never afraid to deal with negative consequences for all kinds of fun surprises, and if Sep and Rapunzel's muns both say they like the idea of having the surveillance be put on, I'll happily accept that this could lead to poor Midii going into an attack upon finding out IC. Honestly, she's been so docile and happy happy about Turtle life, that a bit of sudden angst/drama wouln't be the worst thing to play out

So, basically, I'm flexible either way.

I don't know about the other co-parents, but I'm personally fine with something like that - keeping in mind that Arthur would likely find it and also get really pissed about someone doing that - hypocritical of him because he does a lot of that stuff back home lol but yeaaaaaaaaaah.

Basically if anyone is going to surveil little Napoleon it's gonna be him, yo!

I'm okay with it. Zelgadis doesn't know enough about modern technology to recognize a bug, but he'd be disgruntled about it if someone pointed it out. Mostly because he doesn't like Miles and doesn't trust that Malicant can't break into the surveillance network.
