Hello, chelonauts! The CR With Me meme is back and ready for action!

When it comes to our CR meme, we do ask that you be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should team up to moon Eshai' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.'

We're still using the modified form, including the two sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill!

CHARACTER: Zelgadis Graywords
CANON: Slayers
PERSONALITY: Zel is a mercenary sorcerer-swordsman who is on a quest to return himself to 100% fully human (after his granddad decided he needed a chimera minion-slash-guinea-pig). He's not exactly trusting of others, and pretty ruthless.
CURRENT STATUS: Zel has a turtle egg and was actually asking for help (sort of) during the Halloween event. He's also been involved in various investigations into the nature of the turtle.
CR GOALS: Zel really doesn't have any close social contacts: he has a few people he doesn't mind speaking to, but no-one who I can use as an excuse to drag him out. So I'd like him to meet people who he might actually hang out with, especially if they are the outgoing sort to drag him places. Goals beyond 'return to humanity' and 'help the turtle' would be nice, or at least some non-event turtle-helping.
SCENE-DOS: Some face to face actions would be great, as would people willing to put up with random accosting in log threads. Not that Zel avoids the network (he likes it, since it lets him interact with people who don't know what he looks like). But I'd like to see what Zel does with his time beyond unspecified work and errands.
SCENE-DON'TS: I don't mind Zel having some negative CR, but he's the sort to avoid people who piss him off unless he has no choice.

CHARACTER: Tazendra
CANON: Dragaera
PERSONALITY: Fight happy sorceress-swordswoman elf lady. Likes drinking, gambling, and picking fights with people who could potentially kill her. Still not quite over her conviction that her people are better than yours.
CURRENT STATUS: I need to find a goal for Tazendra or I'm going to have to drop her. Or she's going to pick enough fights that there could be serious consequences, since she's not always the best at non-lethal combat.
CR GOALS: Tazendra is apparently enough of a magic geek, that she'd be a good person to participate in the magical side of research, but the fact she thinks sorcery is the Bestest and that everything else is obviously full of superstition holding it back would mean she's the last person you want to organize other people. Getting her to talk shop about magic could be a way to keep her out of trouble.
Or she could continue to go to bars and get into fights.
SCENE-DOS: I don't really know what I want. People challenging Tazendra, but not really in the physical way (well, not necessarily -- she'll probably find fight challenges a fun thing to do, and anyone who can hold their own against her is someone she can respect).
SCENE-DON'TS: Nothing really. Like I said, this is a 'this character is boring and frustrating me' situation and I'll toss it against the wall and see if it sticks.

ADDITIONAL: I have a third character being apped, and I'll post with him as soon as the app is approved.

Well, I don't know how Zel and Sep would ultimately work, though continuing to explore that is awesome.

Septimus and Tazendra, however, would be freaking awesome. He knows all about living in magically-dangerous, sword-wielding aristocracy and actually might feel oddly comfortable around her.

Hooray, someone who knows the canon!

As funny as it is to play Tazendra versus modern culture/technology, having someone who seems to get what it's like to live in a setting that is relatively low-tech, but with magic mixing that up (especially for the upper classes) would be fun. (Also, both are from worlds with other intelligent species running about.)

I was in a LARP where I played Adron's little sister--Morrolan's mother--during her courtship with Rollondar. She was basically sorceress-warrior Dragaeran Elizabeth Bennet.

Yeah, Septimus has felt-- a little out of place, being one of the few upper-class-magic-etc types, it would be lovely for them to be able to get together. And she might have something to teach him! He's broad-minded, and TuShan's open his mind even more, but he's got prejudices regarding the other sentient species on Carna.

Probably not much. Tazendra still thinks Easterners* are generally not as competent as Dragaerans, though Tu Shanshu is carving out exceptions. On the other hand, she can't live here for months and not have at least some concessions to her canon self since she can't even find the company of like-minded people (what with being a lone-canon warrior and all).

* Which are effectively baseline humans.

Heh. Well, Septimus is another of those who looks like an Easterner and-- ah, is not close to baseline. And while he has issues with non-Aleran races, he has firmly egalitarian concepts regarding humans. Either way, I think there are so many levels these two will work out hilariously.

Teddy is the out going sort and also a turtle egg parent. It's possible he and Zel could exchange egg caring tips and bond over that initially or something. I might have a post about that up soon-ish. But they could always run into each other in person if that's preferable.

A post is fine; Zel is usually checking the network. (And I don't remember if I handwaved him meeting someone for written English lessons, but he was definitely looking into it so he could read text messages on the network.)
