Tl;dr Mega Meme Bonanza

THE TL;DR MEGA MEME BONANZA

Comment with a list of your characters, receive questions, or just tl;dr on your own unprompted! Here's some suggestions.

◘ What does your character think of mine?
◘ What goes on during our handwaved CR? How much handwaved CR do we have?
◘ Canon information, for those unfamiliar with your canon.
◘ All sorts of headcanon questions-- sleeping positions, childhoods, past sexual or romantic history, etc.
◘ Would your character date mine?
◘ If they were put under a truth spell, what would come out?
◘ Where do you want to go with your character, story arc wise?
◘ Give an example of their daily routine in Keeliai.
◘ Who do they miss most from home? Would they go back if they could?
◘ What kind of music do you listen to while tagging? What does your character listen to ICly?
◘ Elaborate on what you've been working on improving in your writing style lately.
◘ What would their daemon spirit animal be, as from His Dark Materials?
◘ What have been your favorite threads with me?
◘ What do their dragons look like in Flight Rising?

And much, much more! Go wild! I recommend making a plain top level comment with just your list of characters, and replying to yourself to fill out things on your own.

SHE HAS!!! Friends are hard tho ok. Back home (this comes first because it ties into how do TS friends), most of her closest friends end up being born out of a kind of necessity for trust, like over quests or in the middle of something dangerous. She doesn't really open up to people first. She and Percy started off basically finding each other obnoxious as fuck, and they came back from their first quest as best friends. Near death experiences do that for people, apparently. She finds herself trusting and befriending the rest of the seven (ie: most of the cast here now) over their linked existence in a prophecy, in which they wow you guessed it need to save the world. Her social life in canon hugely revolves around other demigods; she spent the formative years of her adolescence going to camp Half-Blood year round, so to her, that's normal and these people are her priority over any potential mortal relationships. But even that sort of as a hierarchy, of those she ends up getting closer to over training, her siblings, etc. The way she tends to make friends is beating them up.

in TS, two of her closest friendships on the turtle were developed the same way! She and Yelena were both alone from their worlds, and they sort of came together under a variety of circumstances that pushed trust on them. Annabeth didn't have anyone from home, and even though she knows she can work alone, she knows the value of allies, and she and Yelena just sort of started sharing what they knew with each other; there was a moment where they covered each other's backs in a riot, and that was before they'd gotten particularly close. It grew into a super strong friendship, like, Annabeth's affection for Yelena was on par with other demigods. Her friendship with Zatanna started over the fact that they both came into contact with the npc Eva and both agreed to serve as her spy, so lol, again, it began as a kind of necessitated trust, as Annabeth had no one else at the time; 90% of her closer allies had disappeared just before she got into contact with Zatanna. She found herself wanting to trust and believe Zatanna, because hey, they were in the same boat. So what started out as something risky also turned into one of her stronger relationships on the turtle!!

She's made a lot of other friends, to her own surprise, but she always seems to get closer to them when danger is involved; the people she ends up having these adventures with, they sort of prove themselves really quickly, and it ends up making her more open with them. She doesn't have to be cautious over getting closer, because they've already saved each other's life, or done something else similar. It also depends on how people treat her; if she feels belittled at all ok bye. She's really awkward about doing normal things, though, which ties back into canon too - she's used to the things demigods do and she's comfortable with herself there, so it's easier to make friends that way. Also people who understand what she's talking about, or people she can relate to interest wise, as there's not as much of that back home.

SO YEAH HER FRIENDS ON THE TURTLE she's made them through a variety of circumstances, none of which are particularly normal. But that's ok because that's like home. A lot of elements of turtlelife are like home in the WE ARE NEEDED TO SAVE THE DAY which I think makes it easier for her to do the whole friend thing, since even if they're not all demigods, they're still all in the same boat.

word vomits i have a lot of feelings on this

second question is forthcoming okok

WELL THE WHOLE TARTARUS THING that really put a positive look on Bruce, just for how he treated them both. BUT WE TALKED ABOUT THIS SO JUST STARTING FROM WHERE THEY WERE AT THAT POINT.

man that whole bringing up hubris thing was such A Moment, because she's never really been able to relate to someone that way before? Obviously different things happened for each of them, but the concreteness of the use of the word really hit her. It sort of opened up a new understanding, because if he can admit that to himself and to another person, it takes a lot, and she knows exactly what it means to do so. Especially that he was willing to share it with her. Hubris is a common flaw in children of Athena, so it's very likely she shares it with some of her siblings, but none of them have really experienced the negative side effects in such a strong way like she has. Even if she doesn't know the exact details of what happened with Bruce and vise versa with him knowing on her end, it's still something that in a way kind of meant something? Like, his mistake is still effecting him, but because he's still trucking on it's sort of like ok maybe it won't be so final on my end.

AND JUST ALL OF THE SCIENCE FOREVER she's not really phased by the discovery of the hulk as Bruce, and though she knows he doesn't like or approve of it, it's still another sign of how smart he is okok. She's not on the same level in terms of science skill exactly, but she does get a sense that they can at least talk and discuss and theorize AND IT'S SO WEIRD BECAUSE HE IS AN ADULT AND ADULTS HAVE NEVER BEEN GOOD FIGURES IN HER LIFE ???????????? It's just been increasingly easier to talk to him, usually it's the other way around.

sobbing Bruce. Annabeth's hubris has gotten her into trouble before, but nothing so finite as FALLING INTO HELL CRIES. but she's the same way 90% of the time in lording how smart she is lmfao

Every time something else similar comes up between them I'm just like LMFAO AGAIN [outie] but I love every bit of it

dskjfhdsf ME TOO it's such a nice surprisingly little surprise, especially with how rare it is for both of them. And I feel like even if they did like, disagree over something huge, they'd still do so respectfully [nods]
