As Tu Vishan departs the continent of Siaxhi and leaves Valishaera behind, he has chosen to follow the path of the equator. Whether its a random choice or something instinctual is unknown but he will be swimming due west so unerringly it's less than a degree off. Either way, it seems a little unusual for a mere coincidence. This route however, as with all equators, puts Tu Vishan along the hottest latitude of Konryu and those effects will become evident very quickly.

tushan that you can add.
- Heat Wave
- Temperatures are soaring and it's bringing some complications to the turtle. For a week straight, temperatures are going to be over 100°F/40°C with extremely high humidity. The kedan aren't well-equipped to handle this sort of heat wave either and there are going to be many cases of heat stroke/heat exhaustion among them. Their shapeshifting abilities will also be affected, causing them to try taking forms that they normally wouldn't and sometimes getting stuck halfway, and they won't be able to fix it until they cool down again. Though if a Foreigner looks like they're doing better and keeping cooler, expect the kedan to shape themselves in that exact image!
- Blackouts
- Just like heat waves all over the world, this is going to put an unprecedented strain on the bio-mechanical power grid that supplies all of Keeliai with electricity. There will be intermittent and rolling blackouts as the grid tries to cope with the additional strain, including key areas such as Foreigner-run establishments like the consoles, hospital and the welcome center. Even the Palace itself can be seen to be affected, though it is still protected behind Malicant's barrier keeping people out. These blackouts can last anywhere from a few inconvenient minutes to a worrisome several hours. This will also reveal some interesting facts about the power grid and how the bio-mechanical system works, so be on the lookout for plotty things your character can discover throughout the week.
- Turtle Hatchlings
- While Tu Vishan himself seems unbothered by his course along the equator, the hatchlings are a very different story. The high temperatures are affecting them poorly, causing even the nicest mannered ones among them to become cranky and upset. They'll stop eating and may even act out against their parents, though never intentionally to harm, more like temper tantrums -- though any creature with a psychic line into anyone's mind having a temper tantrum could be a dangerous thing. They'll consistently repeat that they "don't feel well/feel sick/please make them feel better" to anyone who'll listen, whether a turtle parent or not. They'll also spend a great deal of time calling for help from Asti, who seems disinclined to answer any of them. If further questioned, they'll repeat that they still haven't been able to talk to Tu Vishan himself and, given their sour disposition because they're not feeling well, might even get angry about it!
ADDITIONAL: We still have several spots open for turtle parents! The hatchlings are going to factor heavily into the next few months of plot so this is an excellent time to get involved! Signups are LOCATED HERE and is open to (up to) two characters from each player's roster.
