Hey there, turtle-folks! Who wants homework?

In the wake of Malicant's last attempt to disturb and possibly destroy the peace, Tony has decided that they might need to come up with a way to give Asti a break. And, no, this has nothing to do with his personal pride being offended at depending on a giant turtle for life-sustaining energy, why would anyone think that?

Anyway, he's come up with a pretty straight-forward idea: build an alternate power source. So he's going with that. Starting September 6th Tony will be putting materials toward building a reactor-powered generator to run one of the kedan owned buildings in the Metal district. Anyone he has spoken to regarding technology will most likely be asked to help with this project either by contributing materials, design input, or manpower in some way. Actual construction will ICly be done by September 11th, when he'll try to see if the generator can provide an alternate source of power to the test site.

Details, details...

Since this is going to be a somewhat large-scale test, money and resources are objects. That's where you come in. Any characters generous enough to offer a volunteer hand will have his thanks (and a potential IOU regarding any tech and/or favors they want to redeem), and should the project prove successful, then the potential power source will be open for installation in other parts of Keeliai on request. It's a community-focused plan intended to boost their resources for future improvements and provide a backup power source in the event Asti can't support them. If all else fails, they can call Tony Stark for a free cable installation favor of their choice.

If you want to have a character participate in the building, let me know what character it is and what they'd be bringing to the project. This could also be a good way for characters to have an excuse to work with each other if anyone wanted an ice breaker or something. And if you think there would be negative responses to Tony pulling something like this, tell me that too.

Also, please give me your suggestions and ideas, either for the generator project/future use itself or for any ooc suggestions you have. I am starting out small and I welcome the input! Seriously, how can I make this better?

SOB. Damian would like to point out that when the turtle was going down? Well, TECHNOLOGY WASN'T WORKING, EITHER. Including the Iron Man suit.

That said, he'd help. And this is the ten-year-old who can correct plans for a flying car and build it...

Shepard will be similarly skeptical of any power source being able to operate separate from the turtle! BUT SHE WILL NONETHELESS VOLUNTEER TO HELP. Because a - they DO need to figure out something like that and b - she could use Tony on her side for that IOU maybe.....

Happy is a relative term? Hey, at least they can find out if something constructed without kedan design reacts any differently. He needs Bruce's science to help him figure out what keeps drawing on Asti!

And see he is trying to help the turtle. :| Because that needs to be pointed out.

Holiday might be of some help here?? She's got three doctorates and the general headcanon is that they lie in Nanotechnology, Biochem, and then Medicine. If her nanotech skills can be of some use to the alternative energy business, Holiday would love to volunteer.

And, as a note, she thinks this a great idea. Of course, she's also new, but she'd rather not rely on ~*magic*~.

Yes, definitely! She can help the science brigade try to brainstorm why all roads lead to turtle and how they can circumvent the power. Tony would rather not rely on magic either, hence bashing his head against the impossible question until he finds something plausible.

Also, new is good. It means she isn't settled in and will push harder. :3

Bart's in for whatever you need. He might not have money or technical ingenuity, but he's canonically good with building things. He's even been able to follow the blueprints that he read for a VR chamber.

Good deal! Tony will gladly make use of his speed and help in construction. If he has suggestions for the design, that is great too. There has to be an alternative buried in there somewhere!

Shockwave would love to help in designing the power source as he's already done... substantial research into alternate power sources in his own canon to various levels of horrifying results. They all do something, at any rate.

As long as they do not include sentience, special "additions", or dimensional gateways yet, then this is acceptable risk. Good life choices are optional on Team Stark.

Yes please! There's no real profit involved, but it's for the good of the community and there's a favors tab for those who want it. Tony's not a bad choice to have a favor from?

Can he use a wrench and hold things in place? Because there is plenty of that involved. All people are useful! He could assist them and comment on how crazy they all are.

Toph would gladly help with any earthbending/metalbending needed. (Probably more metalbending in this case, but earthbending if you needed any housing/grounding for the device.)

The Archive is Bruce Banner's assistant so she'll be helping! She has 5000 years of knowledge at her immediate disposal so she's mostly around for quick calculations and fact checking since creativity isn't her strong suit. But if Bruce is around she'll totally be around. Tiny 14 year old girl obviously isn't going to be any good at physically building, but she's a certified pro at the thinky bits!

Rory will be the guy who will treat all the injuries that will inevitably happen. And I guess he's good at holding wrenches and keeping metal plates in place and all those things if people need help with that.
