Event | Yard Sale | BONUS LEVEL: CR With Me!

Evening, turtle-ites! Alex here with a twofold post -- the Yard Sale OOC announcement combined with the game's CR meme! We've put them together to reduce clutter in the OOC comm and give one central space in which to plot shenanigans. We'll kick it off with the event summary, then head straight into the meme fun. 8D

Yard Sale
With the rationing being lifted the morning of July 20th, kedan all over Keeliai are going to take to the streets and rejoice in a very unique way. Festival? Nah! Banquet? Been there, done that! City-wide yard sale? OMG YES. This event will run from July 21st - 27th.

What does this mean?
This means that the streets of Keeliai shall become flooded with hastily built stalls, swifly lain carpets, and tables that have been ported outside for the sake of laying out wares that have been long hoarded during the stingiest days of the rationing. Foreigners and kedan alike are encouraged to both sell anything that tickles their fancy as well as peruse the wide varieties of, well, everything on offer. These are the fruits from months of carefully setting aside bits, pieces, and bobs for a rainy day -- only they've brought them out for this happy moment!

And that's it. Really. It's the most epic sidewalk sale that Keeliai has ever seen! A party-style log will be posted on Sunday to kick things off, but first...

What about the darn Tribbles?!
The Tribblepidemic continues throughout the event, with enterprising kedan finding new and inventive uses for the adorable menaces. And Lex fridges a bunch to serve as Tribbletonite against the Supes. They'll still be everywhere, but characters may see them being put to new and unique applications. What kinds of applications? Well... We're taking suggestions! Do you have a way that you'd love to see Tribbles used? Then feel free to make suggestions in the Tribble subheader! (In this post, just below the questions subheader.)

And that's the gist of it! The event is meant to be a winddown after the recent stresses for the characters and a great way for Foreigners to sell off any assets -- or buy some along the way. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have within the subheader provided for in the comments.

Hello, chelonauts! The CR With Me meme is back and ready for action!

When it comes to our CR meme, we do ask that you be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should team up to moon Eshai' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.'

We're still using the modified form, including the two sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! There is also a section specific to the plotting of shenanigans during the upcoming event! (Details of which are available above.)

Then that's definitely a thing I could work off of! (Is the old log for there still open or would we do a new one?) And can I ask what the post'll be about to guess if he'd tag into it or is it in a shroud of secrets!!! which is always fun.

AND OH NO SORRY IT'S NOT A SECRET LOL. She's gonna be offering her services as a conflict mediator, which comes in the flavors of duel and mediation. By duel she means if people have a problem then one person can challenge the other to a duel (to the death, which they don't have to accept) and pretty much whoever lives is right and whoever dies is wrong. And there are really specific rules for the duel and if you break them then she'll kill you. And by mediation she means that both parties have to agree to only talk and play nice with each other because she'll kill anyone who doesn't. ...It's sort of her part time job back home. :/

Hm I think Richard probably doesn't have a need for it, exactly (though he definitely has a response to it along the lines of "...well. ...I wonder how negotiations with Eigen would go under those rules.")

The Archive will receive your message and come as soon as possible. written on it in neat, teal letters. If you write on it, she's likely to show up nearly as fast as her small legs can get her there (or in the morning if she's asleep at night).

Also, if she's there and something breaks, just give a holler and she'll come over and fix things. The benefit of having five thousand years of knowledge is that she has a fairly complete understanding of how things are supposed to work and how to fix them when they're broken. ]

That one would work really easily—things are always breaking.

Alternatively, I could probably work through this one:

[ One thing she does fantastically is crunch numbers. She systematically goes through the garden and collects data on whatever she can, writing it down in perfect color coded rows and columns. It's not unusual to see her small head bent over her notebook, switching between her many colored pens. Just because she's outgrown crayons doesn't mean she's outgrown cute colors. Even though the data sticks perfectly in her mind, she still writes it down for the benefit of others, and she'll gladly talk about her analysis with anyone who asks about it. ]

Richard always wants to know analyses of how plants are doing because twenty years of training to run an agricultural country does not teach a kid to ignore reports on crops.
