Evening, turtle-ites! Alex here with a twofold post -- the Yard Sale OOC announcement combined with the game's CR meme! We've put them together to reduce clutter in the OOC comm and give one central space in which to plot shenanigans. We'll kick it off with the event summary, then head straight into the meme fun. 8D

Yard Sale
With the rationing being lifted the morning of July 20th, kedan all over Keeliai are going to take to the streets and rejoice in a very unique way. Festival? Nah! Banquet? Been there, done that! City-wide yard sale? OMG YES. This event will run from July 21st - 27th.

What does this mean?
This means that the streets of Keeliai shall become flooded with hastily built stalls, swifly lain carpets, and tables that have been ported outside for the sake of laying out wares that have been long hoarded during the stingiest days of the rationing. Foreigners and kedan alike are encouraged to both sell anything that tickles their fancy as well as peruse the wide varieties of, well, everything on offer. These are the fruits from months of carefully setting aside bits, pieces, and bobs for a rainy day -- only they've brought them out for this happy moment!

And that's it. Really. It's the most epic sidewalk sale that Keeliai has ever seen! A party-style log will be posted on Sunday to kick things off, but first...

What about the darn Tribbles?!
The Tribblepidemic continues throughout the event, with enterprising kedan finding new and inventive uses for the adorable menaces. And Lex fridges a bunch to serve as Tribbletonite against the Supes. They'll still be everywhere, but characters may see them being put to new and unique applications. What kinds of applications? Well... We're taking suggestions! Do you have a way that you'd love to see Tribbles used? Then feel free to make suggestions in the Tribble subheader! (In this post, just below the questions subheader.)

And that's the gist of it! The event is meant to be a winddown after the recent stresses for the characters and a great way for Foreigners to sell off any assets -- or buy some along the way. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have within the subheader provided for in the comments.

Hello, chelonauts! The CR With Me meme is back and ready for action!

When it comes to our CR meme, we do ask that you be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should team up to moon Eshai' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.'

We're still using the modified form, including the two sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! There is also a section specific to the plotting of shenanigans during the upcoming event! (Details of which are available above.)

CHARACTER: Victoria Desange
CANON: Mama
PERSONALITY: So, this kid here. Her life has been one moment of suck after another. She's an orphan. She was raised in the woods by a very angry, insane ghost. The only human contact she had for five years was with her younger sister. When she was found by her uncle, it took a while to get her used to people and even then, things did not go well. Her adopted ghost mom followed her and tried killing her aunt and uncle and then decided if she couldn't have her adopted daughters, no one could. Victoria and her sister were taken to the top of a cliff and Mama was gonna jump off with them. Victoria was rescued. Her sister was not. Because of all of this, because of how she was raised, she's a partially feral kid who doesn't show a lot of emotion. She doesn't understand how other kids work and she's not at all used to people. She's quiet. She doesn't do much in the way of playing, either. She watches people with wariness and it takes a bit to get her to trust them. She's used to Mama coming along and wrecking any bonds she forms and even if she knows Mama is gone, this is still super hard for her.
CURRENT STATUS: She just got here. She's been poking around town, exploring Water Sector mostly and meeting people. But her conversations are short and she usually just heads home when she's had enough. She's befriended Gavroche (she won't admit it) and she's befriended Jack Frost (which she'll admit to). Mostly, though, she's just been talking to people to try to learn more about people in general.
CR GOALS: I want to slowly build up a family for her. I would also LOVE for someone to try to fill in the huge gap in her education. Her last year of school was pre-school and even that wasn't completed. She is a smart kid, though. She is very willing to learn provided someone is patient with her.
SCENE-DOS: I'm up for almost anything. Plot based, fluff. I'm good with either action or prose. Really, I'm not picky. I'm even fond of negative CR, even if she is a kid. There are bound to be people who just don't like Kids that Victoria can bother.
SCENE-DON'TS: I have very few donts that they aren't even worth mentioning at all.
YARD SALE: She's going to be looking for art supplies. This little girl absolutely loves to draw (and will probably draw all over her walls if she runs out of paper).

Hayley's 14 and protective of girls, so maybe they could become friend-ish? She's pretty innocent as an act, but is actually really devious and violent in the right (wrong?) situation, so she could definitely handle Victoria's reactions.

On the flip side, Costigan is a super reserved Bostonian, but he's secretly really protective of kids. If she latched onto him (metaphorically or literally), he wouldn't send her away and might start trying to help her out, teach her, etc? It wouldn't be a family really, but he could be a potential filler or helper or whatever!

Oh, my gosh. I am so for all of this. Hayley and Victoria would be ridiculously epic together and I'm so throwing her at Costigan in like...a minute or so.

It's that one little girl!

Lex is going to try and keep a close eye on her, then again he's not going to want to get too involved, because getting attached to an all alone little kid will probably spell out trouble for him. Expect him to pop up when he can, and he could totally offer to teach her some things if he gets a feel for an education gap.

Oh, good because I loved their conversation. Victoria really wanted to talk more to him but words were being difficult for her.

Seriously. He's buying her a security system or something for her suite when he gets the money.

She'll come home to it and ask a million questions as to what the hell it is and what it does. And then poke buttons until it does something.

She will get there some day. As paranoid as she is about people in general, she knows she missed out on a lot so she asks about everything when she's feeling up to it.
