Evening, turtle-ites! Alex here with a twofold post -- the Yard Sale OOC announcement combined with the game's CR meme! We've put them together to reduce clutter in the OOC comm and give one central space in which to plot shenanigans. We'll kick it off with the event summary, then head straight into the meme fun. 8D

Yard Sale
With the rationing being lifted the morning of July 20th, kedan all over Keeliai are going to take to the streets and rejoice in a very unique way. Festival? Nah! Banquet? Been there, done that! City-wide yard sale? OMG YES. This event will run from July 21st - 27th.

What does this mean?
This means that the streets of Keeliai shall become flooded with hastily built stalls, swifly lain carpets, and tables that have been ported outside for the sake of laying out wares that have been long hoarded during the stingiest days of the rationing. Foreigners and kedan alike are encouraged to both sell anything that tickles their fancy as well as peruse the wide varieties of, well, everything on offer. These are the fruits from months of carefully setting aside bits, pieces, and bobs for a rainy day -- only they've brought them out for this happy moment!

And that's it. Really. It's the most epic sidewalk sale that Keeliai has ever seen! A party-style log will be posted on Sunday to kick things off, but first...

What about the darn Tribbles?!
The Tribblepidemic continues throughout the event, with enterprising kedan finding new and inventive uses for the adorable menaces. And Lex fridges a bunch to serve as Tribbletonite against the Supes. They'll still be everywhere, but characters may see them being put to new and unique applications. What kinds of applications? Well... We're taking suggestions! Do you have a way that you'd love to see Tribbles used? Then feel free to make suggestions in the Tribble subheader! (In this post, just below the questions subheader.)

And that's the gist of it! The event is meant to be a winddown after the recent stresses for the characters and a great way for Foreigners to sell off any assets -- or buy some along the way. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have within the subheader provided for in the comments.

Hello, chelonauts! The CR With Me meme is back and ready for action!

When it comes to our CR meme, we do ask that you be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should team up to moon Eshai' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.'

We're still using the modified form, including the two sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! There is also a section specific to the plotting of shenanigans during the upcoming event! (Details of which are available above.)

CHARACTER: James Norrington
CANON: Pirates of the Caribbean
PERSONALITY: James is your average stuffy somethingth century Navy Admiral who moonlights crewing pirate ships (ONE TIME). He's having quite the struggle adapting to Tu Vishan, which is weird because he finally came around to accepting cursed pirates and magic compasses and giant squids back home. Still, every time he encounters something new, he gets all stuffy and shocked and says very british things like "good lord!" and "my word." He is consistently disgruntled and 10000000% done with all your shit, especially you gavroche, yeah you, take a bath you dirty hippykid.

Also he's trying to build a boat to escape the turtle. As one does.
CURRENT STATUS: See above: BOAT. All are welcome to help build the boat.

Also, James has recently become more accepting(ish) of things like dragons and sea people with gills. He's not having quiet british hysterics anymore, at least.

May or may not have a highly repressed crush on a werewolf. (So repressed even he doesn't know it's there.)

Secondary goal: Get Gavroche to bathe.
CR GOALS: Any of the above, re: boat. I'd also love some more calm and centered exploration of James's psyche, if anyone wants to have a serious conversation or even (gasp!!!!) make friends with him. He needs to learn these modern concepts like "feelings".
SCENE-DOS: IDEK why I feel these out. I will RP anything. A n y t h i n g. Seriously. There may or may not be a tribblecide thread going on right now.
SCENE-DON'TS: Honestly there is no situation I can see James ending up in (from where he is now) that would be a major "don't" for him. Really the only thing I can see arising is non-con situations of any variety, in which case it's not so much a "don't" as a "talk to me first, please".
YARD SALE: Is that made of wood? James wants it.

CHARACTER: Cinna
CANON: The Hunger Games
PERSONALITY: Cinna is basically the second nicest person in a canon of deeply disturbed and not nice people. Spoiler alert: Nice people die. He's nice. That's his entire personality, nicest nicer ever to nice in niceville. Also, he makes pretty fashion in a cave with bucket of scraps.
CURRENT STATUS: Cinna came here immediately post torture and death, so he's not in the best headspace atm. (Therapy with Dr. Lecter is totally going to make that all better though.) Basically, while Cinna seems fine on the outside (calm, composed, able to sew pretty dresses in a single bound) he's prone to panic attacks and residual trauma from what he went through before his arrival. He's not repressing it exactly, he's aware of his trauma, but he hasn't expressed it to anyone or allowed himself to experience the feelings, so... that's healthy.
CR GOALS: Someone please help Cinna.

Or just ask him to sew you something nice.
SCENE-DOS: See above. I am really open to just about any CR, any scenario. Happy fun times where Cinna gives your character a makover? Yes. Deeply disturbing explorations of his trauma and his psyche? Let's go.
SCENE-DON'TS: Just run it by me, if I'm really like "no that scene sounds bad," I'll say so.
YARD SALE: Cinna will, of course, be selling some smaller accessories he made, and possibly manning a booth for his and Alcuin's shop? Not sure, must talk to Chloe on that. Additionally, he'll be buying/bargaining any fabric or fabric based items that he can alter into something *~*~fabulous~*~*.

If Cinna ever wants to sew clothes for children, the Archive will happily wear them. Lets be real, she IS a 14 year old girl and she dresses properly and nicely every single day. She would be all over that. Also she would sort of like to watch him work a bit because she is curious and he seems pretty nice. Also I just realized she will probably commission at least a few dresses from him, she needs proper clothes for being all ~official~ when she has to do Archive business.

Okay. I love Cinna ;A; And I'd love to throw Dick at him? He's a really nice person, and a good friend, and he could use some more good friends, since he just showed up here and his canonmates are nuts. BUT Dick in canon has some pretty awful fashion sense, and that will probably carry over here, since he gets to pick out his own clothes. So we could do make over things, and maybe have them get to know each other? Because Dick will want to help, too, because he immediately sees him as a friend.
