Evening, turtle-ites! Alex here with a twofold post -- the Yard Sale OOC announcement combined with the game's CR meme! We've put them together to reduce clutter in the OOC comm and give one central space in which to plot shenanigans. We'll kick it off with the event summary, then head straight into the meme fun. 8D

Yard Sale
With the rationing being lifted the morning of July 20th, kedan all over Keeliai are going to take to the streets and rejoice in a very unique way. Festival? Nah! Banquet? Been there, done that! City-wide yard sale? OMG YES. This event will run from July 21st - 27th.

What does this mean?
This means that the streets of Keeliai shall become flooded with hastily built stalls, swifly lain carpets, and tables that have been ported outside for the sake of laying out wares that have been long hoarded during the stingiest days of the rationing. Foreigners and kedan alike are encouraged to both sell anything that tickles their fancy as well as peruse the wide varieties of, well, everything on offer. These are the fruits from months of carefully setting aside bits, pieces, and bobs for a rainy day -- only they've brought them out for this happy moment!

And that's it. Really. It's the most epic sidewalk sale that Keeliai has ever seen! A party-style log will be posted on Sunday to kick things off, but first...

What about the darn Tribbles?!
The Tribblepidemic continues throughout the event, with enterprising kedan finding new and inventive uses for the adorable menaces. And Lex fridges a bunch to serve as Tribbletonite against the Supes. They'll still be everywhere, but characters may see them being put to new and unique applications. What kinds of applications? Well... We're taking suggestions! Do you have a way that you'd love to see Tribbles used? Then feel free to make suggestions in the Tribble subheader! (In this post, just below the questions subheader.)

And that's the gist of it! The event is meant to be a winddown after the recent stresses for the characters and a great way for Foreigners to sell off any assets -- or buy some along the way. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have within the subheader provided for in the comments.

Hello, chelonauts! The CR With Me meme is back and ready for action!

When it comes to our CR meme, we do ask that you be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should team up to moon Eshai' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.'

We're still using the modified form, including the two sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! There is also a section specific to the plotting of shenanigans during the upcoming event! (Details of which are available above.)

CHARACTER: Renly Baratheon
CANON: ASOIAF
PERSONALITY: Useless Rich Man from that Book Where Everything is Politics and Terrible. Though he isn't rich here, which is causing some problems. He's pretty friendly, polite, and easy-going, not to mention charming as all hell and he tends to be very loyal to people who love him. (Also he and his boyfriend are super closeted because of Period Homophobia so Renly tries to pretend to be interested in the opposite sex and fails.)
CURRENT STATUS: His current mission in life is Operation: Make Lots of Friends and Learn to Function In Everyday Life. He's... making some progress but the mission continues. Also he's been working for some kedan tailors and learning to sew.
CR GOALS: Anything! Eventually I also kind of want someone to give him "Being Gay Is Okay 101" but lol that's a long-term thing.
SCENE-DOS: Anything is great! Renly is pretty hard to get negative CR with that goes beyond a little sniping back and forth though, because he's very courtly and proper.
SCENE-DON'TS: I don't really have any don'ts. :|a
YARD SALE: Renly loves markets, oh my god. He'll be all over the place buying anything that strikes his fancy, which is to say, shiny things. He may or may not be selling anything, I don't know yet.

CHARACTER: Bucky Barnes
CANON: Marvel 616
PERSONALITY: Twenty year old roughneck and Army brat, loves to flirt with the laydeez and get into fights with guys bigger than him. Also fiercely protective of his few friends and difficult to really get to know.
CURRENT STATUS: Kind of beat up from his mission, his team just shut down a bunch of M-demort's personnel type stuff and he's been trying to get rid of tribbles as they show up in his space.
CR GOALS: Anything! Him actually getting close to someone who isn't Steve or Toro or maybe striking up some flirty conversation with a girl around his age could be nice.
SCENE-DOS: Anything! I don't mind negative CR with Bucky, he's kind of a jerk sometimes and usually deserves it.
SCENE-DON'TS: Nothin'.
YARD SALE: Bucky is probably going to be selling anything he can get his hands on and possibly buying things and reselling with a markup. It's kind of his thing. Also he might sell tribble furs/meat to vendors.

CHARACTER: Arthur Curry
CANON: DC Comics
PERSONALITY: Cranky Fish King who is not to be soothed by tribble purring. Sometimes he's less cranky but right now the cranky dial is up to the max.
CURRENT STATUS: ANNOYED AT EVERYTHING. Especially Certain Space People. The tribbles are fucking up the natural ecosystem you guys. So he's been on a mass killing spree concentrated primarily in Water Sector, and also feeding tribbles to sharks with Lyall and Norrington.
CR GOALS: Anything! More CR outside his cast would be especially great.
SCENE-DOS: I'm good with just about everything.
SCENE-DON'TS: Nope.
YARD SALE: He might shop around a little and maybe use this to increase his fish sales a bit for some rainy day money but he probably won't be super enthused about it because the goddamn tribbles are still around???

Hiya! So Norrington kind of pointed Lex in Arthur's direction saying something something about a satellite crashing down and an invasion that came with it. Naturally, Lex is curious! So after the tribble chaos calms down, he might go poke Arthur's inbox and try to get some info off of him? Would that be okay?

Also Bucky. Hee. I get a feeling it'd be a bad day when these two are put under the same roof.

Yeah, definitely! I'm not sure how much he can get out of Arthur since Arthur isn't super tech-savvy or anything, but he was down inside the bulk of the satellite that was underwater and hauled up a bunch of pieces, and then he fought off a bunch of the specters. :|a And if he gives a name Arthur might go to Kal first because lol isn't this one of yours Supes

Oh god, probably. Actually if he needed it and he paid he could probably get Bucky to do legwork for him that isn't totally super illegal and/or reprehensible :V He's got a moral compass but he also currently delivers illegal tobacco orders for Henry...

I'd love to throw Dorian at one of the other two! He knows MCU Bucky so there could be a start to threading there. I'd say he'd help Arthur feed tribbles to shark because he approves in theory but in practice he's super squeamish about that sort of thing.

...Ahahah I am not sure that would be a good jumping off point. Bucky doesn't know the OTHER Bucky is around at all and their one interaction he kind of. Really didn't like him. So anyone who was a friend of MCU Bucky would probably find it difficult to really talk to 616 Bucky since when he does find out, it's going to be kind of a huge sore spot. He's already been replaced in canon and he's got a lot of weird baggage :'D I'm all for CR, however it might go, but I thought I'd warn you that him mentioning the other Bucky or comparing the two is immediate grounds for "get the fuck away from me" with 616.

First, yeah, you get canon CR for Bucky and Arthur with Billy and Dick, so there's that. But I'd love for Billy to talk about his boyfriend with Renly, he's a good one to have the "Being gay is A-OK" talk with. HELL, Dick is a good guy to have that talk with, because he's got all sorts of friends and things, and he's also just a good friend all around? So I would love for him and Dick to meet, too!
