Please note that your character does not have to be the one to find their item if you want! This can be a great opportunity to build new CR or reinforce established relationships by the discovery of the item(s). Feel free to use this post to plot out any item-related details you may wish to work out!

Item requests for the April landfall are cut-off as of tonight. Subsequent requests will be considered for the next landfall.

That would probably work! Arthur will be very interested in tracking down anything advertised as a sleep aid or sedative so it's definitely possible for them to bump into each other!

Or for something a little safer, your character can find one of two books whose contents will seem like something between a spellbook and a dictionary for an unknown ideographic language.

Well he could pick up one of two Charter magic texts, which are about magic, but don't actually contain any. The contents in both are a bunch of symbols, along with explanations about what each symbol means and how it can be combined with other symbols to make magic spells.

The last item is a creepy book with a green leather cover and tarnished silver clasps. He won't be able to open it, and it's likely to injure him if he tries.

Ha. Well, because I'm terrible, I'm tempted to go with the injury option, if the results aren't too severe. Otherwise he can have fun being amused at the magic texts.

The injuries are likely to start at singed fingers at the first attempt and go up to some rather severe burns/getting blasted across the room if he keeps trying for too long. Does that sound like something you'd be interested in?

Singed fingers works; he's at least bright enough to stop trying too hard once he gets hurt. Let's go with that.
