Player Event: Mis-Spell REDUX

Hey, everybody! So, because I can never go too long without causing a little bit of trouble, I have a little upcoming player plot orchestrated to shake things up in Keelai:

MIS-SPELL: REDUX
July 22 - 31

Late in the evening of July 21, Zatanna will be expecting a special shipment of potion bottles. However, unbeknownst to her, a little mixup occurs. Her bottles--four in all--will end up each getting distributed to specialty shops in four different sectors. The morning of the 22nd, these bottles will be among special tea and drink shop inventories, mistaken for herbal flavorings, and any customer drinking at these shops will find themselves suffering from some rather shocking magical side-effects.


(1) FIRE SECTOR: Alignment Switch. Can be elemental in nature, but primarily we're talking a "good vs evil" type of switch.

(2) EARTH SECTOR: Negation of the Translation Matrix. an aura around the character means that they will suddenly understand ONLY the languages they already speak; characters who speak to them, either in person or over the network, will ONLY Hear the language being spoken by that character.

(3) WATER SECTOR: Transformation characters can either be transformed to younger/older versions of themselves, OR can be transformed into any version of any animal (real or mythological).

(4) WOOD SECTOR: Personality Fracturing. characters will be split into two or more "versions" of themselves. Can either be split into a "good" self/"bad" self, or even be split into multiple personalities based on individualized emotions. The more tea the character drinks, the more times they will be split. This one, in particular, has the added bonus of not being able to be fixed until all versions are back in the same place.


The duration of each effect will IC be explained by how much of the drink each character is exposed to, and OOCly can go on for as long as the player desires.  In addition, effects can take anywhere from five minutes to half an hour to occur, leaving an element of mystery for at least the first few days as to what exactly is causing all of this.  

After about three days' time, Zatanna will realize the bottle switch (though she won't know WHY it occured) and alert everyone.  Until then, characters are welcome to compare notes and speculate among themselves.  Or play detective.  Because there absolutely will be THOSE CHARACTERS that will spend their time trying to play detective.

By August, all effects will wear off by themselves.  There is no instant "cure", as the unstable nature of the potions means the magic needs to run its course.

If the chars end turned into animals, the soul jewels they carry also change in size? Or shape? And does the magic affect their clothing or they are naked once they turn back to normal?

Okay, since it's only fair that I throw up some plotting of my own...

-Zatanna won't suffer from many effects, as she will be too busy running around trying to figure out WHAT IS GOING ON SHE DIDN'T DO IT THIS TIME SHE SWEARS. Though it is so tempting to temporarily align switch her into Annataz Arataz....

-Midii is leaning so hard towards being aged DOWN. because I have cute Elle Fanning screenshots from an old guest cameo she did when she was a bitty. But I'm also debating either the Translation Matrix for her, or having her personalities split, Teen Titans Raven-style. WHO WANTS TO MEET FUN MIDII?!?!?

-Aya is the one I'm most certain about, because she's ABSOLUTELY turning into tiny eyeball Aya, her equivalent of being de-aged. I contemplated turning her into AntiAya, but then she would quite literally break Keelai, so...that wouldn't end well for a semi cracky event. >.>

Omg, young Voldy would be great to see. Poe would be an animal but still remember everything so if he sees Voldemort he would be so confused.

For a part of the event (I wanna have him interact with affected people as himself) Kylo is going to be de-aged. Memories, personality, the whole works...

I'm still debating just how old I'll make him, I'm torn between the 8-10 or 12-14 age range.

Gene will be a smol for a few days. >:3 (see icon for his reaction. HE WENT THROUGH THIS SHIT LAST TIME.) but then also he will later be his hot three-years-older self for a little while for MAXIMUM CONFUSION. Also this is what Keeliai has to look forward to in future. You're welcome. ;)

I don't think any of my others will be affected, but watch this space. Deon might get a transformation he'd be spooked by.....I'm mean. JK OK HERE WE GO

Deon will be very slightly older. Yet drastically different. Ohoho. (Chappie spoilers will abound, sorry guys)

Jackie will transform into a pug. Because if everyone in Sleeping Dogs was a dog, Jackie would be a pug. This has been determined through intense scientific analysis.

Adrien is going to turn into a very literal chat noir. He'll be spending his time as a little black cat - and probably freaking out the poor person who owns the cat cafe he works at that once had a cat curse on it - oops.

Without fingers to put his ring on, he won't be able to transform, so while Adrien is like this Chat Noir will be mysteriously absent. He'll try to think of a good excuse as to why he "vanished" when he returns, but people are welcome to assume he went home or something (and of course use this as a reason to put two and two together over his "secret" identity).

Adrien will probably look for someone he can absolutely trust to take care of the ring until he can turn back, so if any of his really close CR wants to do that let me know and we can do a thing. Plagg will just vanish into it and remain dormant until he's given back to Adrien.

Danny Fenton

Welp, Danny's getting the personality fracture. And because ghosts in his canon are weird, he's actually going to be splitting into two people.

Danny #1 (from now on called Super! Danny) gets all his determination, his desire to protect people and none of his social skills.



Also he runs around posing dramatically while wearing a bedsheet cape and communicates entirely in alliteration and puns.


Danny #2 (Fun! Danny from now on) gets all of Danny's desires to just be a normal teenager. And unfortunately none of his motivation. He's chill and relaxed and completely self interested. Expect a lot of arguing to get him to do anything.



Anyone want to help get them back together? Because, sorry, they're both going to be pains about it. Also, whoops, he hasn't actually told anyone yet about his alter ego.

Let's just hope he figures out that there's nothing suspicious about changing ages this time before he tries to cover things up, and makes everything more complicated.

If I come off Hiatus to do this, Valdis will be turning into a dainty, white Unicorn. Her mindspeak abilities will still function, but she will probably only be outside the city limits for a time. Come bug the Unicorn, she'll hate it.

Desmond Miles

Desmond's gonna be Jesus! He'll be turning into his older, decided-not-to-release-Juno self, that let the world burn in a Solar Apocalypse, and then rose up to become a leader for the remaining human populace.



So yeah, he'll be slightly more chill, and infinitely more preachy about nonviolence and loving thy neighbor and stuff. He'll also have a fuzzy gray afro and beard :-D

Pepper is going to get aged up a few years - so y'all will be dealing with the slightly older, more attractive versions of the IMAA crew.

I was so tempted to do an alignment switch but having Pepper turn evil right now would probably be a great way to nuke the government plans. Also just really scary.

Conan's getting his real age back for the event, so for as long as this lasts he'll probably offer his services to the police for any mysteries that need solved.
