Keeliai Aerial Corps!
Right then! Recent events have finally given Temeraire the kick in the tail he needed to begin organizing what he calls the Keeliai Aerial Corps, which in actuality is more like a ragtag band of volunteer fliers whose names he and Iskierka have in case it ever comes to an all-out physical battle. Not only are they looking for crewmembers, they're also looking to train with people who are capable of flying independently so they're used to maneuvering around each other in a combat situation.
And, you know, you'll get a shiny badge. Probably. So there's that.
If you think your characters might be interested, please proceed below the cut!
Here's what our dragons are looking for:
FLIGHT CREW
Iskierka and Temeraire can each comfortably carry three adults and a child. Because of the foreigner turnover rate, though, they will be looking for at least fifteen to twenty people to get used to flying dragonback and will always be looking to train new people. The only requirements are a good head for heights and a reliable sense of balance, though Temeraire in particular is always looking to adapt new methods of fighting to his style. It should be mentioned that Iskierka is a firebreather and Temeraire is...more like a very loud air...breather, in case your character might want to make use of either of their abilities.
Neither Temeraire nor Iskierka have much patience for formation-flying or drills, so they won't really be doing that. Instead, they'll be focusing on accuracy and maneuverability, which may mean a lot of trying to hit targets with magic/bullets/whatever while flying upside-down. Or doing corkscrews. Or what have you.
Please bear in mind that positions available are flexible and may be changed/removed/invented as needed:
Lieutenant: De facto captain, really, but the dragons are unlikely to call your character that so long as their actual captains are alive and well and in another universe. Rides closest to the dragon's head and calls the shots. Ideally, is an experienced tactician and used to combat in three dimensions.
Riflemen: The heavy artillery. Riflemen will ride on the dragons' sides and deal out damage as needed. Magicians, sharpshooters--it doesn't matter, as long as they're interested in learning how to fight dragonback. People with experience in close combat are also welcome; you can never have too many trained boarders.
Runners: Children are welcome to serve as what are basically glorified gofers in the dragons' home universe. If they do not have combat abilities of their own, their tasks in battle will mostly involve acting as lookout and fetching equipment for the three fighters onboard.
GROUND CREW
For volunteers less inclined to take to the skies, the dragons' ground crew is equally invaluable. Back home, their tasks mostly involve maintaining supplies and caring for the dragons' harnesses, but in Keeliai their responsibilities can extend to developing new weapons for the dragons as well, if they wish.
Positions available here:
General ground crew: In lieu of an actual harness-master, the Keeliai ground crew is encouraged to collaborate on ideas and work on projects together.
Dragon-surgeon: The party healer. Given the weird nature of dragon biology, the surgeon should either be willing to brush up on draconic anatomy or be in possession of the sort of magic that allows one to heal indiscriminately.
Runners: Gofers are just as needed on the ground as they are in the air! There will probably be a lot of overlap in general, though--if your character wants to serve exclusively in one or the other, that's fine; if they want to serve on both, that's great too!
OTHER FLIERS
Of course, there are other foreigners on the turtle capable of flight, too, and it would be tactically unsound to leave them out! If your character is capable of powered or independent flight, Temeraire and Iskierka would like to train with you! After all, it would suck a whole lot if there were an actual combat situation and all everyone did was fly into each other.
---
SO! If you want in on the action, please fill out the form below! There will definitely be one log to start out with where people can mingle and stuff, but other than that I'm thinking this can be a handwaved thing where characters show up for training once a week--and like I said, there can definitely be more than one person per position!
Questions/comments/concerns are all welcome, too!
The current crew roster can be found here.

Enjolras
Preferred Dragon:
I'm gonna have to say Iskierka. they get along insanely well
Preferred Position:
Anything really
Abilities:
Shooting, he kind of commanded that barricade even if that didn't go all that well in the end. It wasn't really reflection on what HE was doing at the time. A TINY bit of fencing.
Other Comments: Uhmm full speed away?

Preferred Dragon: uuuuh n/a? He just wants to be a medic |D
Preferred Position: Dragon surgeon!
Abilities: He's a nurse. A very good nurse.
Other Comments: The dragons are totally free to encourage Rory to try dragon flying and whatnot. He's also actually decent with swords as well as guns, but doesn't really say anything about it since he prefers helping people in ways that don't involve violence.

Preferred Dragon: IC, he has no knowledge of either of them and would only care that he got a dragon. OOC, he'd get along better with Temeraire. He will totally read math books aloud. How does he feel about quantum physics?
Preferred Position: He'd probably have to be a runner, since he's fifteen (if that). Roland's still a midwingman at sixteen, so in all likelihood he wouldn't be able to convince anyone otherwise.
Abilities: Superhuman balance and agility, teleportation, night vision, camouflage/stealth, teleportation, engineering knowledge.
Other Comments: He's going to be unreasonably excited by the prospect alone. While very useful, he is also very annoying.

Preferred Dragon: She's spoken with Temeraire, and let's be real, she will not get along with Iskierka in the slightest.
Preferred Position: Lieutenant! She really wouldn't settle for anything less, unfortunately.
Abilities: Combat experience in space, as well as rifle training. She has a great deal of experience in captaincy as well.
Other Comments: Amelia fully approves of this Aerial Corps plan.

Preferred Dragon: I don't know if this is needed considering his position, but maybe Temeraire because Teddy knows him a little?
Preferred Position: Other flier.
Abilities: Shape-shifting. In his Hulkling form he can shift to include wings, which he can fly with. Also, super-strength.
Other Comments: None I can think of!

Preferred Dragon: Sadly he hasn't interacted with either, but I don't think it will be needed considering the preferred position!
Preferred Position: Other flier
Abilities:
a shittonno but really he can fly on his own, if you need a run down of ALL his powers tell me!Other Comments: None, but this looks exciting and cool :3

Preferred Dragon: Iskierka
Preferred Position: :|a Dragon Surgeon
Abilities: Healing magic out the wazoo plus experience in using on dragons
Other Comments: Let's do this.

Preferred Dragon: Temeraire, he hasn't met Iskierka yet
Preferred Position: runner, probably ground crew
Abilities: probably the smartest person on the turtle? Combat training and strategy
Other Comments: Bean will likely be upset if he isn't included in planning combat actions

Preferred Dragon: Anyone really!
Preferred Position: Ground crew
Abilities: He can build machines/weapons at impressive speed (building a flying warship in 6 months hey-yo), can sense and manipulate nearby traps as long as they're mechanic in nature, manipulate machines, apparently is also super knowledgeable in chemistry.
So basically he's a Weapons/Metalworks/Chemistry Jesus. Plus he can also set himself on fire!

Preferred Dragon: Temeraire, but either works
Preferred Position: Other flier/rifleman
Abilities: Paperwing pilot, general magic user who knows some wind/weather magic, can also heal if needed. Also has considerable training in necromancy and is pretty good with a sword.
Other Comments: Given that the paperwing is actually made of laminated paper, it isn't the most durable craft- though it is a bit tougher than you'd expect. Given it's nearly silent in flight, it might be useful for recon?

Preferred Dragon: Temeraire (he's got your back, bro)
Preferred Position: Dragon-surgeon or rifleman! He is flexible. Also he wants to shoot things. >>
Abilities: Doctorly type things, secret mad scientist/Lara Croft powers. How do you feel about bombs, Temeraire.
Other Comments: This is either going to be fun or completely terrifying.

Preferred Dragon: yeah no he's not flying
Preferred Position: ....Harness Technician? IDK do you guys need uniforms?
Abilities: Sewing, hair and makeup...
Other Comments: So basically it's Cinna. He still loves the dragons, and he'd like to help, but he's not really a military mind.

Preferred Dragon: Iskierka (Because flame sisters really)
Preferred Position: Rifleman / Dragon-surgeon (Swiss army knife really)
Abilities: Master of all four elements, Healing (Waterbending)
Other Comments: BURN SHIT.

Preferred Dragon: Temeraire
Preferred Position: Flier, Rifleman, or Runner
Abilities: Airbending, Waterbending, Earthbending. Also absolutely no fear of heights to speak of what so ever, and amazing balance. There is no greater laugh at gravity than Aang's
Other Comments:
Aang can only really fly with the aid of a glider, which he doesn't have at the moment, but could probably get constructed if presented with someone crafty enough to build one.

Preferred Dragon: n/a
Preferred Position: Other Flier
Abilities: Magic (flight, various elemental spells, light, minor healing magic, etc.)
Other Comments: I have to check how far Zel's flight spells last. The best one won't let him cast other spells, though he's has some small experience with firearms (and knows how to use a sword). He can also cast a weaker flight spell that has crappy speed and maneuverability, but doesn't take as much concentration (so he can cast other spells).
He's also ridden dragon back before, though with Temeraire and Iskierka at reduced size, weight may be an issue, hence leaving the job to people not made of stone.
I'm not sure, if battle presents, if he'd stick to ground or air, but training with the Air Corps would mean if he has to take to the air, he won't foul it up.
