FIRST -
Due to August sucking mightily on all fronts, and lots of important RL things keeping people away from online time, we're going to be making September a no itinerary month. That is, pretty much everything from August's itinerary will be carrying over for the state of various factions in the city, and only a slight reprieve from the heat.

SECOND -
Additionally, August's AC which will be posted shortly, will be a check in only month. (Sorry we're announcing this so late in the month, we try to give people more lead time so they're not stressing about making AC, but August literally zoomed past!)

This period of AC covers July 1st to July 31st and in order to qualify for this period, the threads in question need to fall on posts or logs started between these dates. Backtagging is fine – the AC has a grace period of five days in which to continue existing threads up to the 5th in order to make the required comment count. For example, if your thread is standing at 12 comments and the final 3 comments are added between the 30th and the 5th, that's totally acceptable! However starting a thread (for example on the 4th) on a post made from the previous month (on the 28th) would not count.

→ 15 comments by your character

May be reached in a maximum of three separate threads.
Fifteen overall comments from your character, not the final total of the thread(s) itself.
Reaction spam (or icon chain) comments (like 1/4... etc) only count as one reply. Inbox threads do not qualify.
In the instance of closed logs or locked network posts with no public content, please note that only one thread from these entries qualifies for the AC's overall comment count, including the entry itself.
Posts not appropriately tagged with your character's community tags are not eligible for AC.

→ Activity Check Points

Making minimum or base activity of 15 comments rewards 1 point.
Per every group of 15+ tags beyond base (again, spread across maximum 3 threads apiece), rewards 1 additional point.
Comment totals do not carry outside their group (ie; one thread of 29 comments still only counts as 1 group, meaning the next group has to have at least 15 in itself, not only 1.)
Total cap of 60 tags equaling 4 points per month, per character, available to earn.
Mods will note your point gain for the month when confirming your AC, and update the point tracking spreadsheet accordingly.

Characters accepted in July 2017 are not required to provide AC proofs for this month, only a check in. If, however, you have a new character and would LIKE to provide AC you've gotten in your first month, you can still provide proofs for the three bonus ACs, and earn points for them.

Characters who were on official and approved hiatus for ten (10) days or more during the activity period are exempt. Your AC status (exempted/not exempted) is included as part of your hiatus confirmation comment.

IMPORTANT! Players must still check in if the hiatus has already ended or they are new (even if no activity links are required to pass) so that we have a record of your activity, and so we don't accidentally sweep anyone from the game. Characters who are not checked in and are not presently on hiatus will still qualify as taking a strike.

If for any reason you have been unable to meet the AC and your character is 'swept' from the game, you may reclaim this character once within a 6-month period if you reply to the Activity Check results. If that particular character lands on the AC again, you will need to re-apply for them, except in the case of extenuating circumstances. Characters who are not reclaimed will be considered dropped and removed from the game.

You have until August 5th @ 11:59PM EST to fill out this activity check for your character(s).

Since we've been getting into the habit of allowing late-in-the-month posted event logs to be used for AC across two months, we've added a new tag to make it easier to find those posts. When: July 7, and running for about a week.
What: Dragons. Lots of ghost dragons. Turning into dragons. Fighting dragons.
Where: Throughout Keeliai

So anyone who has spent much time talking to Danny by now, has probably figured out that his canon gets weird. On July 7, some of that weirdness is going to follow him here.

It will start when this necklace shows up. Anyone who puts it on will transform into a dragon the first time they get angry while wearing it. This can be anything from actual rage to mild irritation at someone cutting in front of you at a line. In canon the dragon then proceeded to attack the source of their anger/irritation, but feel free to get creative. The only way to turn your character back to normal is for someone to remove the necklace.

So... to make the plot work, we'll need volunteers to become dragons and people to fight them to get them back to normal. In interests of keeping the plot manageable, the number of dragons will be limited to three. Please comment below if you want in.

Notes:

If your character is savvy enough to not put on a mysterious necklace, feel free to assume the necklace comes with a compulsion. This is a magic ghost artifact, after all.
Each dragon will be limited to 48 hours. At the end of that time the necklace will pass on to the next dragon. The order will be planned out OOC..
The dragons' maximum size will be set at thirty feet.
Since Danny knows exactly how to fix this problem, I will be keeping him out of this plot unless someone wants him to show up and explain things.
I will put a log up on the 7 for dragon shenanigans.

Hey there!

Remember all those times I thought I'd be moving into a new apartment? Well, guess what? It's actually happening! During one of the most stressful times at work I might add. Which means that RP is kind of taking a beating right now. So, I'm on hiatus for the rest of the month.

Sheena will be on autopilot, recovering from injuries she sustained during the Temple attack and ignoring said injuries to work at the Tea House and train.

Hey guys. Sorry if this is really abrupt, but I'm taking a full hiatus as both player and mod. Real life has taken a nosedive into abyssal levels of shit in the last 24 hours, and I need to get some things sorted out before I can consider braining online interactions.

My white haired idiots are on autopilot, but since I'm not going to be around, godmod rights go to Pepper for Bakura and Zatanna for Jack. If it ends up that I'm going to be away for longer than a week, I'll update and have them go Dreaming poofed.

My name's Star, and I'll be bringing in one Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who as my first character in Tu Shanshu. :)

For those who aren't familiar, Jack is a time traveler and a former con-man who turned against a former employer for leaving two years of his memory a giant question-mark. Most recently he's been travelling with a time-travelling do-gooder called the Doctor and his companion Rose Tyler. They've been positive influences on him - of the 'he's pulled the self-sacrificial hero roll twice since meeting them' type. He was saved the first time, but the second... He was brought back as a fixed point in time, and can no longer stay dead. (Not that he knows this yet.) Those who can sense time or things like that, you may find he feels kind of wrong.

Jack is a massive flirt, and more than willing to go through with things. (Though his mun would prefer to fade to black.) He's from the 51st Century, and has some ramped up pheromones because of this that generally make him more attractive. Feel free to opt in or out to those on his permissions page, they're just a natural thing for him. Likewise, if flirting itself is a hard no please give me a heads up. He's not going to, obviously, flirt with kids.

To those who are in the know: I'm bringing him from right after Parting of the Ways. That means no Torchwood. I just felt it might be an interesting way to mix it up a bit.

As those of you on my plurk timeline know, some sudden RL things have recently come up that are keeping me from being able to properly focus on RP, so I'm taking a bit of a break from now until around the middle of June.
