Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:

1. Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
2. Tag around with everyone!
3. Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!

Please specify in your post!

The first comment/thread on this test drive is going to be titled ENABLE ME and it's where you post character accounts/muselists, etc and others (members, passerbys, shoulder demons) can enable you to apply to Tu Shanshu! [It's the weirdest damn feeling, wearing the local style. Not because of the style itself, per se, but even back home, under house arrest, grounded, she never really wore civvies. Everything was always Alliance-issue.

But there is no Alliance here, and she kind of needs more than one outfit, so here she is, looking like one of the locals (more or less), and doing some shopping.

When the hell was the last time she went shopping?]

[By the spirits this marketplace is gigantic. While this certainly leaves some potential for finding goodies later, all it's doing is frustrating Garrus right now.

A million food vendors and not one that sells dextro-amino acid based food. There are clothes that would fit his physiology, but not anything he can eat without an allergic reaction and coughing, interrupted by fits of dying.

Or maybe not, because it looks like one stall he passed by about 9 times now has something that looks edible. He's not good at this whole "shopping" thing, is he?]

[She has to smile faintly as she glances over the goods on display.] Too bad I can't just offer them an endorsement for a discount.

It does tend to make things easier, doesn't it? Although it's not as fun when you get something awful and you can't just buy something new.

At least I don't hear "Hi, I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel" everywhere I go. [Another chuckle] Couldn't you at least mix it up a little, come up with something different?

[She looks at him affectionately, then back to the stall.] Are you going to be okay here, food-wise? [Because the thought has definitely crossed her mind, too. What the kedan eat, as far as she's aware, is the same stuff humans eat. Which means - Garrus can't eat it.]

I think so. It looks like at least some of this isn't going to kill me ... hopefully.

[That hopefully isn't particularly reassuring.] Don't go taking any unnecessary risks, Garrus. At the very least, we can ask around, see if someone with more scientific knowledge might be able to help out.

As much as I like unnecessary risks, I was planning on that. After living through the Reapers, I'd rather not die because of some chocolates or something.

You do care. [He teases her sarcastically.] We do, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy this little stop-off, right?

If you ever doubted that, you need to have your head examined. [She offers him a smile.] I'm not sure I can enjoy a place where husks might attack. But... maybe.

There are husks here too? [He is newer here after all]

No one called them that, but basically. Husks without the Reaper implants, just... reanimated corpses. [She pulls a slight face at the memory.]

Most people called them zombies.

Some. But death is kind of... not permanent here. [If that even makes sense, not that she expects it to.]
