[ It was a busy day in the marketplace in the Fire Sector and Jack was searching for something rather specific. He'd been at this for over an hour with no luck so far, so he finally decided to ask someone for help. Finding a young woman who appeared about the same age as he was, he touched her elbow politely to get her attention. ]

Excuse me miss?

[It wasn't the same as shopping at the prestigious malls she was used to, but it served the same purpose: distract her from her boredom. She was out of her element here and still trying to find exactly how she fit in to this new world. This at least made her feel a little bit less like she was missing her friends and everything she knew and more like she could get used to this place.

At his voice, she turned and gave him an appraising once over. He appeared to be her age and wasn't half bad looking. Deciding he could fit the bill for diversion, she crossed her arms and gave him a half smile.]

Can I help you?

[ Pleased, Jack held out his hand with a simple but pretty charm bracelet on it. ]

I don't suppose you might've seen which stall around here had these, did you? I've been trying to find it again and I haven't had much luck.

[She studied it carefully.]

Yeah, I think I remember seeing something like that. This way.

[She turned and motioned with her head. When he fell in step beside her, she said:] Thea, by the way. And you are?

[ Jack's expression brightens like a firework. ]

Really? Great!

[ He skips beside her, barefoot and nimbly staying out of the way of the various kedan moving through the marketplace -- he knew they couldn't all see him and had no desire to be walked through. It was inconvenient and probably made a bad impression on the pretty girl. ]
