Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:

1. Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
2. Tag around with everyone!
3. Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!

But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!

   Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtleshell!

   First impressions are always the most important, right?

   Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun' esque experience. Please specify in your post!

...okay so, tentatively considering a third character. Here are the options.

> Sharon "Athena" Agathon from Battlestar Galactica is the main candidate at the moment. She's a human-looking robot girl basically, who turned her back on her people to join the humans.

> Mary-Lynette Carter from the Night World series. She's 17 or 18, human, from a version of Earth where vampires, witches, werewolves and other shapeshifters exist secretly. She's tough, level-headed, and loves astronomy. I haven't played her before but I'm so entirely nostalgic ;w;

I love her forever, she's been my favorite Smith ladybamf for forever u_u And one of the few from that series that would probably be awesome and not waste away in a jamjar setting without her soulmate. I actually just read one of Smith's blogs talking about who she'd pick for a PB and flailed about. The actress is too old but I was trying to debate usernames last night and just...yes.

I really want to play her. The main idea was to bring Athena to game but I love Mary-Lynette so idk idk.

I admit part of me wants to gather Night World players together sob all my secret want

Sorry, Mary-Lynette is one of my favorite characters in the series and you tend to not see Night World fans very much.

I really hope she writes more supplemental about them. Though I'm worried she'll disappear again for another five to ten years.

I think it's because she's one of the few who just doesn't care about the whole soulmate thing and uses it to her advantage to kick her soulmate repeatedly. poor Ash

I did. I was very amused by the fact that Ash is very independent and stand alone until Mary-Lynette comes up or shows up and then he's a ball of jello and feelings. I'd have to test him out first, but I'm pretty sure I could pull him off.

True. Her other works are getting a lot of press, and she did say something about finally finishing the Night World books. Which would be nice with all the craziness that's been going on towards the end.


I have to ask, and I know it's a long shot, but do you happen to know the 'Tithe' series by Holly Black as well?

I think it takes her a while to get used to it and considering the circumstances, yeah, I don't blame her. Everything happens within a matter of days and her entire world gets turned over. H-hah. But yeah she uses the sparky thing against him a couple times. And yeah lmao poor Ash just....ends up kinda going w;A;w?? when everything goes down.

Considering I just made the account I'm probably going to voice test at some point and just...see how I do. She's one of the few characters from that series that I think could manage well on her own separated since it's canon and all :|a

And yeah apparently Strange Fate has been in the works again for a few years but they keep pushing back the release date. I think that Lullaby book is getting released first idefk.

And no, I'm not familiar with the Tithe series by Holly Black.

Yeah. They both got really blindsided. And his sisters weren't any help to either of them. I loved that he kept just moving against his own will to try and keep her safe even though she could take care of herself.

I'll probably throw up a D_M post and throw him in a few memes to test him. You're right though, most of them seem to be in series only types. They couldn't survive without being in their cannon.

I've taken to the point that I'll believe it when it's published.

Ah well. She's another not too well known author. I figured I'd try since you know L.J. Smith.

-From DC Comics, I've considered Bart Allen/Impulse and Kate Kane/Batwoman, I'm also thinking of trying to pick up Garfield Logan/Beast Boy so if that went well he'd probably be added to the list

-Syaoran Li from Cardcaptor Sakura

-Someone from the Morning Glories comics. Hunter, Akiko, Ian, and Hodge are the ones I have muses for at the moment.

-Obscure characters no one cares about are also options, whoops

If I could find a PB for Sunshine I'd totally canon review her and etc but I SUCK at PB finding.

Muse List Here I would love to bring any of them over but mainly considering sorta the following:

-Hanabi Hyuuga from Naruto Shippuden. She has limited canon but I really like the character concept soooo

-Mareena Curry down there. (she comes pre-enabled)

-Maybe Doctor Weir actually? Might be fun to play a responsible adult for once my life.

-Oh and potentially Helena from Arrow irdk about how her canonmates would feel about that though
