Intro Intro Blah Blah Yes

Hi, I'm Mel. I'm new, thus doing the obligatory intro post to introduce myself and my character. This is Toby (voiced by Hugh Skinner, that guy who played Joly in Les Mis 2012), he's a vampire, and he's from the Confessions of Dorian Gray. He has terrible fashion sense, which is the most important thing to know about a vampire, I feel. He is also said to have mad swag, and he must if he can look good in terrible nerdy outfits (including Marty McFly costumes). He also has an addictive personality, but...the sort where others might get addicted to him, because of all that vampire swag, if that sort of thing affects you. So yeah, nerdy cold blooded killing monster who looks like he's gotten dressed in the dark if he's lucky (although to be fair, bad fashion choices happen when you haven't looked in the mirror for a few centuries). As for me, I'm Mel. I've been out of games for a while, so a bit nervous, if the rambling hadn't given that away. I work and go to school most of the week, so I'm usually around the most during the weekends, although I will try to get on at night during the week if I can. I can be found on plurk at rollinggirl if you'd like to add me, pm me, or anything else (although those are the only two things I can think of that can be done with a plurk ID). But yes, super excited to be here and play with all of you and I cannot wait to jump in (and will probably be posting my IC intro very soon). Thank you again ♥♥♥

He appreciates that very much. But I am cool with anything, whether he likes it or not, so any and all plotting, good and bad, is good with me.

It is in the app, yes. I his audio Toby is able to get Dorian addicted to him, his vampire presence, and so on. I wasn't sure if I wanted to write up a permissions thing about it, since I figured it's optional at best, but it is in his abilities. But please, don't feel the need to actually have your character fall into that sort of pattern if you don't want them to, it really is the most optional thing ever.

I haven't actually listened to it myself, but I intend to when I can. I'm a big fan of the original book though so that definitely colours my judgement. :3

That is pretty accurate. And you should, I really do love it.

Funny enough, part of the reason I actually went to see Les Mis was because of how much I adored Hugh Skinner in this audio. When I'd seen he'd been cast as Joly, I went and read all the Les Amis parts of Les Mis as I waited for the movie to come out. I fell hard for all of the barricade boys, although I have a special fondness for Feuilly and his love of Poland. I also have a weird sort of fondness for book!Eponine and her single-minded love fueled craziness.

Welcome to the world of Amis love. Feuilly is wonderful, and so is Joly, and so are all of them, but clearly I am biased. I kind of love Book!Eponine, even if she's terrible and crazy.

I used to play Britta Perry from Community, so Feuilly filled my need for needlessly defiant people who adopt fringe politics and bring them up in weird moments. Him shouting Long Live Poland as he leads the march is still one of my favourite moments of anything. And, I will confess, I prefer terrible selfish leading Marius to his death Eponine to the musical and movie versions.

I do prefer book Eponine to most versions too, even if she's terrible. That said I also love Montparnasse and Thenardier so I'm usually a fan of the more fucked individuals.
