 Hi everybody! My name is Maggie and I'm bringing you Queen Mera of Atlantis from DC Comics. Pre-reboot version. Mera is, as I said already, the Queen of Atlantis and Aquaman's wife. Slash ex-wife but not really. Comics. Also she can control the entire ocean and constantly saves Arthur's dumb ass.

Anyway, she's in WA-2B in the Water Sector. She might be a little cranky at first but she'll get over it pretty quick.

I'm really excited to be playing with all of you (your DC cast is huge oh my god). My plurk is flyingmoose and everyone is free to add me if they want. I'll try not to be terrible at everything 8Db

Though there are no blonds in Marvel Atlantis besides her mother (actually her clone template lol comics) and her, so it should be impossible for her to be blond, but failing the freshman genetics unit is the least of comics' science problems.

Also DC Atlantis is kind of an entire bag of dicks so Mera is used to Atlanteans being suspicious of like everything.

Marvel Atlanteans are huge dickbags, too, but how it works for them is that human/Atlantean crossbreeds have ridiculous superpowers and the regular Atlanteans don't want to piss them off. (Nita's as strong as Arthur, for example, and she's by far the weakest of her kind.) Plus the culture respects martial prowess a lot, and their crossbreed king has a short temper and is very protective of his orphaned* cousin.

So basically Nita gets away with murder. 8D 8D 8D

Mera's Atlantis exiled her husband like a million and a half times and also left him on a reef to die when he was a baby. Also there was that time they put her in a magic coma and used her as a figurehead to do whatever the fuck they wanted.

She was also trained from birth to kill their King but ahaha let's not talk about that.

Oh, Namor gets exiled every few years, but they always take him back because he's a better king than anyone who's trying to replace him. Also Neptune handpicked him during the Silver Age and you just can't argue with that.

As a teenager, Nita got used as bait to lure Namor into a trap and strong-arm him into--well, I'm not actually clear on what, but it involved radio-controlled giant crabs--because the people involved were realistic enough to understand that trying to kill him never works. It just pisses him off and then he kills you.

Atlantis: populated entirely by assholes.
