How to play? Sometimes Bruce has no idea what to do with Dick. This is a Dick that was raised/is a child in a different era altogether than his version (sliding comic timeline scale aside) and there are almost as many fundamental differences as there are similarities. When they're together, Bruce can't decide if he feels twenty-two all over again or eighty, because that part of his life is so remote and removed from where he is today he actually has trouble reconciling the two.

Bruce is so damn damaged as a person, but with Dick not only does he try to hide it (like normal) but he actually tries to forget about it sometimes. Having Dick as Robin was such a kinder time in his life than what followed and sometimes he just. Feels echoes of that time. And in a weird way, it's... not fixing him but it's healing over some old injuries I don't even think he was aware of having.

Also he will never not be pissed off that Earth 16!Bruce made him Robin so young. Ever. And if he ever meets Earth 16!Bruce he is going to punch him in the teeth. Because Bruce Wayne is a hypocrite.

He still doesn't know how to say things like 'HEY GOOD JOB' or generally being supportive and he really, really wants Dick to quit being a vigilante and go be a cop or something but he's. Trying. And that's generally more than DCU!Dick ever gets. Bruce sort of sees this as an opportunity to try to fix some of the mistakes he made with DCU!Dick and so. He's. Definitely trying.
