CR TEAL DEER MEME

How to play? Reply to this post with the characters you play, people will then reply to you asking 'What does X think of my character Y?' then zoom around and ping other people in the same manner to generate some CR chatter! This is a good way to see where your current CR stands and what your characters secretly think of each other.

CASSANDRA

BRANDON

Brandon really adores Cass? He just. Does. She's sweet and she didn't ask questions or put him on edge and that doesn't happen often in regards to him and new people. He can tell she's good for Steph and even given their, um, explosion a couple days ago, he knows that Cass will be there for her. THAT'S SOMETHING THAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO HIM OKAY.

He's also seriously protective of her and would electrocute anyone who looked at her sideways nevermind that she could kick his ass up down sideways and into orbit without much (read: any) difficulty.

REID

Her body language tells an interesting story, to the point that Reid isn't actually sure what he's seeing. NORMAL HUMANS DON'T MOVE THE WAY YOU DO, CASSANDRA, but he still sort of... gets it, in a way? It's like someone who knows Spanish puzzling out French. Similar roots, but a divergent point. There's something about her that reminds him a little of several cases he's read on extreme isolation/linguistic deprivation environments and/or feral children, even though he acknowledges that she's significantly more well-adjusted than those children tend to be. At first he thought she was only just learning English but now he suspects that English is the first language she's ever spoken. Ever.

Either way he's going to want to protect and look out for her as much as possible because she's a kid who someone has obviously either neglected or abused and that hits his sad Spencer face points. :(

BRUCE

Cass is his foreverdaughter. FUCK CANON AND THEIR CONSTANT EXCLUSION OF HER. Bruce sees her as the purest and highest form of his ideal. She's... harder than he is, in all the ways that you need to be hard doing this job - not emotionally (he's probably got her beat that way) but in terms of how rigidly and absolutely he trusts her to stick to her morals despite everything. SHE IS THE ADAMANTIUM TO HIS TITANIUM ALLOY OR SOMETHING. Bruce knows he'd throw himself in front of a bullet for his worst enemy (notice how he did that for the Joker shortly after Jay was killed because Bruce has serious issues) but it's still a conscious thought for him. Something he has to war with his natural instincts to do, and it's not like that with Cass.

CITING 'down with the ship' since it's been on my mind since I read it. The part where Cass pushed him out of danger and he was like 'YOU DON'T GET TO SHOVE ME TO SAFETY.' I think that (and the choice he made that followed) exemplifies a lot of his feelings about her. She's an ideal, but she's still a living breathing person and he wants to protect her as much as he can but at the same time he trusts that she's going to make the right choices in the end and he tries to grant her as much autonomy as his extremely controlling/domineering personality can allow. Which isn't always much (see: bugging her apartment tho lbr that's more in case she has visitors than trying to bug her specifically) but he tries.

And basically he delights in her delight. Cassandra's emotions are so simple and heartfelt that he can't help but share them at least a little.

He just. Adores her okay. So much. :(
