How to play? Reply to this post with the characters you play, people will then reply to you asking 'What does X think of my character Y?' then zoom around and ping other people in the same manner to generate some CR chatter! This is a good way to see where your current CR stands and what your characters secretly think of each other.

Brandon is probably out, I get the feeling that Javert wouldn't do too well with tiny bitchy angry mutant kid. UNLESS YOU DISAGREE?

Reid might be interesting? He's in the FBI and likes to-- um, talk. A lot. How might that work out, do you think? (I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHINGGGG ABOUT LES MIS omg I feel like such a failure in that regard)

Bruce would probably be interesting too, but any interaction they have would probably fairly passive and/or truncated (ie: meeting him as 'bruce' would be congenial but probably short-lived, meeting him as 'batman' would be like > short > purposeful > disappear into vengeance/the night)

Aisha would just be super bitchy because that's her bag, but sometimes she surprises me so that might be an option? But she's not very rewarding CR-wise and she's hard to tag because she's so antagonistic so I'll leave that one to you.

Well, here's a summary of Javert:

He's extremely principled and uncompromising and kind of suffering an existential crisis and heaps of confusion. That said, he buries it under sassmastery, wry wit, and damned determined/cold composure.

Reid might be interesting in certain situations. I think they have the potential to get along, but I find that characters which Javert can work up a good banter tend to have the best CR in the long run.

Bruce--I think I agree with you. Batman will probably strike Javert as pretty goddamn ridiculous and unnecessary. Bruce himself would be someone he'd recognize as outclassing himself completely. Hello, millionaire, which Javert is not and never will be.

Is Aisha sassy at all, or is she just a bitch. LOL

Reid can kind of banter if he's comfortable with people but it's pretty hard to get him to that point, especially around older alpha male types (WHICH I'M ASSUMING JAVERT IS OK) but he's also a body language expert and trained in psychology so if he picked up on any of those internal conflicts (I have a permissions post in his journal if you're interested in letting me know your limits?) he might be inclined to try and help.

Yeahhhh probably not Bruce, then. Or at least not in a log post - network maybe?

Aisha can be sassy! She's just sort of cold and hard-edged but she can be sassy as fuq when the mood suits her. She's also spent like four months here and she's mellowed out a bit from DEATHBITCH MCKILLERSON and is sort of treating personal interaction like a game so. THAT... MIGHT WORK?

Reid profiling Javert and picking up on those internal conflicts could be awfully interesting. Javert is rather resistant to help, but it'd introduce something new, certainly.

ALSO: I've been going with Les Mis just plain not existing in Reid's world. It's never come up in canon so I can get away with it pretty easily and I don't actually like 4th walling people so yes that's what's up on that front.

I am cool with all these things. I think I'll try Aisha at his log post and then maybe Bruce and/or Reid at his network and see how it all flies? I'll try to do it tomorrow but if I haven't by then please give me a nudge, I'm running on about three hours of sleep and my brain is a hodgepodge of curmudgeonly fluff at the moment. That sounds great to me! And I'd love to thread with you, too!! Especially since Javert is completely and wholly my strongest character and he never goes anywhere ever. I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities as I sink into the game. :D
