HMM well despite being a perfectly normal human from a perfectly normal world, he wouldn't really get hung up on the whole mutant thing. It would be more that she's a person who also has powers than omg powers, and he'd try to sympathize, connect.

And now having read her application, I actually feel that they could be really interesting. The stuff you were talking about with normalcy, steadiness and guidance, that's Will's stock in trade. He's just a really, really calming influence, and a sweet one.
